Type 3000 N100 0768 monitor

Top of page 1/3 of the monitor seems to work perfectly.  Down 2/3 is, however, totally green on the left side, half right of the right side of the vertical lines (different colors) showing gray. The rest of the right-hand side is green like the left.  When I move my finger on the touch pad a vertical purple line following my finger from left to right on the screen.  If I move the mouse to the top of page 1/3, it appears as normal.

I searched the site a bit and have not seen this question, I was wondering if it could be a cable problem after reading the other posts tho.   Any help would be appreciated

I took my Lenovo 3000 N100 0768 - family portable computer to a computer laptop shop the other day because I couldn't get anything to appear on the screen to power on and the report I got back from telling them that the motherboard needed a "BGA rework.

I then received a message "repair has denied" on their tracking system, so phoned and someone said that they could not repair or replace the nVidia GeForce Go 7300 graphics card but I could come and collect the laptop because it is.

I was wondering if I can do something myself to try to make it work again until I was hard and the parties separated on an auction site.

Is there a graphics card that seems to be the one that I had on this auction site and I was wondering how it would be difficult to install the card and if it would solve the problem or if the laptop needs a new motherboard.

    Thank you.

If you ask my personal opinion, don't waste your time and money to replace main Board.

Just buy new laptop if you can.

Edit: this marker is as resolved.

  • Is my 3000 N100 (0768 A49) dead?

The laptop has a 15.4 "LCD, T2390 (1.86 GHz) CPU/1 G RAM/80 HD with WiFi, BT, Webcam and fingerprint reader. After two years of light use, the laptop cannot start. The power light is on but no beeps and black screen. I plugged and an external monitor. Same thing. I have checked haved memory, battery, and hard drive. They are good. So it can be CPU or / and motherboard, but the motherboard is perhaps more likely. The replacement of ebay cheaper MB is more than $ 200. The laptop is very sharp looking and I don't throw it away. Anything else I can try? Thank you.

He was diagnoised as defective montherboard and repair costs beyond new laptop.  I called Visa extended warranty for buy a Dell Studiio in defective Lenovo replacement.

  • Upgrade of RAM for n100 0768

    Hey there. I am looking to upgrade my RAMz.XD;

    My computer:

    3000 n100 (0768)

    Vista Home Premium SP1

    1.00 GB OF RAM

Genuine CPU intell @ 1.60 GHZ

Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family

(tell me if you need more!)

The part I am looking at:

    CLICKY!

    My question:

Will it work if I buy it?

    How to install it?

have no idea what happened, the browser I had use must have some major problems.

    anyway...

Ram installation is quite easy, there is a Bay of access on the merits of the case for the ram, just remove the Bay access door by unscrewing screw Torque then by installing the ram module required.

The Intel Chipset used in your N100 should be able to handle a maxmium of 3 gig ram.

While, 2 gig of ram should be sufficient for most things with XP, but if you plan to run Vista then it is advisable to have 3 GB of ram installed.

On the note of things CPU, the T2400 is processor Core Duo with memory cache level 2 of 2 MB clocked at 1.83 ghz, what for most 32-bit applications, it is the same thing as the Core 2 Duo Santa Rosa 1.83 ghz cpu T5600. My thinkpad x 60 is a Core Duo T2400 processor, my thinkpad T60 is a Core 2 Duo T5600, two of them in XP pro, for most applications they were running at the same speed.

If you want to upgrade your CPU then then whatever it is in the following list will be OK:

    Core 2 Duo T5xxx, T7xxx

    Core Duo T2xxx

When I'm clicking "my places Bluetooth" a pop-up message showimg "Bluetooth device not found. Check that your Bluetooth device is properly connected and turned on". Have you checked if the switch to turn on the radio is on? In your model, I think it is in the front of the laptop below the touchpad.

  • Model N100 0768 - no sound after flash

I have a problem similar to the one posted here

    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/Lenovo-3000-and-value-line/N100-0768-boot-problem-after-BIOS-upgrade/m-p...

I recently did a new install of OS clear and updated to update all drivers and BIOS and now I can't get the audio working - it happens that the only SPDIF. It seems that the N100 comes with two sets of BIOS, one for the ADI system and the other for the Realtek one base. By default, the utilitty AdrLoader shot in the ADI as the model 0768 I, I needed the Realtek one. The product information in the BIOS screen is damaged and I have no sound, than anything that the laptop runs. I tried to restore the BIOS and reflash with the version of Realtek without success, using the Realtek file causes the crash AdrLoader with to perform a memory dump and restart Windows.

Has a solution for this be found yet, it looks like a certain owners of this model of laptop seems to have inadvertently taken the wrong file and have machines running in States of no.-ideal/sub-sub-multifunction.

Found the solution, I had to force the correct BIOS via the mode from Crysis. See here:

    http://www.ehow.com/how_5218098_recover-Phoenix-BIOS.html

    and

    http://forums13.itrc.HP.com/service/forums/QuestionAnswer.do?admit=109447627+1292987395830+28353475&...

Once the correct BIOS have been loaded, Windows correctly identified as Realtek instead of the ADI audio. Problem solved, but it is a very nervous experience racking see a screen vacuum while BIOS flash. Although the N100 beep during the process.

  • Error PXE 3000 N100, does not start BIOS

    Hello people,

I recently picked up some laptop second hand and projects for free time and learn a little more. One of them is a Lenovo 3000 N100. I'm not sure of the exact model as the COA sticker is worn. The laptop came without RAM, a hard drive or battery! I am aware that this may be more effort than its worth, but wanted to give it a go...

With RAM installed, shows the white startup Lenovo screen (sometimes quickly, sometimes takes forever) - if I press ESC, then the following information is displayed:

Unknown project ID! BIOS version? 61ET32WW

    CPU = Intel (R) Celeron (R) M CPU 410 @ 1.46 GHz

    1023 M system RAM passed

    1024K Cache SRAM Passes

    System BIOS with a shadow

    Video BIOS with a shadow

    CD ROM...

    Initialized the mouse

Pressing F1 or F12 does nothing.

The following errors are then displayed, which Google I see is a common problem. However, I can't find a fix that applies to me.

PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of

PXE:MOF: get out the PXE ROM

    Operating system not found.

From what I see online, the portable computer tries to boot from a network/LAN. I tried a XP boot CD with no joy.

I can't access BIOS to change boot priority.

The RAM seems to work judging by the messages above?

I tried to put in a blank disk and remove it (tested with novatech adapter USB SATA, HDD seems to work well).

Is my next option to reset the CMOS battery? I should add that on the first screen, I received at the start of error codes 0271 and 0251 regarding the date system and time and CMOS checksum bad, but after leaving the laptop plugged in all night, they make their appearance is no longer.

No wonder that BIOS was confusing - it turns out that F1 and F12 are dead keys, and one of the Ctrl keys (I used an online keyboard controller to test). Access key for the BIOS and to the startup list both did not work. I managed to access BIOS by using a USB keyboard. I think I'll try reinstalling the keyboard first, if this does not work, have a go at a personal key, and if it works no - one second hand keyboard. BIOS is not the latest version, but I guess that there is not a huge need to update?

XP is installed for now, because I don't have spare keys Windows 7. I have a few modules of 2 GB of RAM, so it will move to the 3 GB maximum. Then decide to keep or not! I have a Z60M I prefer, so that this one will probably get donated or sold. Just a shame the RAM is so limited on them.

  • Lenovo 3000 N100

Trying to find the drivers for lenovo 3000 n100, but for some reason, this laptop model is not on the support page. Where can I get the drivers for this laptop? He was there all the time.

I tried the version of the n200 drivers and some drivers work but the camera driver does not work with him and the wireless driver is not working properly with him.

Good day and welcome to the community.

As you have seen, the support site has been redesigned. For your old model, please visit:

http://download.Lenovo.com/express/ and select matrix driver in the top left section.

On the resulting page, choose laptops & tablets, Lenovo N Series and Lenovo N100 in three drop-down menus, respectively.

I hope this helps a little.

    Kind regards.

  • Upgradeing the graphics card on the 3000 N100

I wonder if its possible to improve the graphics of cards for my Lenovo 3000 N100. I play Eve Online and would like to be able to upgrade to high-end graphics. In addition, I was told that I need to reload my OS about every 3 months on my laptop. Is this true? I run the windows vista that came with the laptop and have had no problems with it. If I need to do I'll do it. I don't know if it of true or not. And when it comes to computers, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. Laughing out loud! Not even close to him. So any advice would be greatly welcomed. Thanks for your time and your help.

Usually (95% I have met) laptops are not expandable with video card. You can replace the CPU/memory/hard DRIVE and even some cards such as WiFi Bluetooth &, but not video. It's empty because design radiator different in different models and also other modules in sizes, while the CPU/memory/hard DRIVE have their standards, which facilitates the replacement.

With regard to the operating system:
No problem for to reinstall me an OS as I do for others twice a week usually. So I have something to say here. While using a system that is getting filled with garbage. More applications that you install - waste more you. Corrupt registry, temporary files are collected... No need to reinstall until your system is entirely online.
    So.
Simply clean from time to time of the folders temp (running %tmp% and %Temp% to display your temporary folders), check your system of CCleaner for garbage and used Ashampoo Uninstaller corrupted registry and (if you want). This program is extremely useful. It analyses the system prior to installation and after. Is a newspaper. Then simply uninstall you it by Ashampoo - everything is deleted. All the registry keys (including hidden for trial and shareware progs) and all af you uninstall this app. You keep your system as clean as it possible - as if it was the first execution of Windows. Infested with only worrying about me - never tried Vista.

  • Maximum hard drive size in the Lenovo 3000 N100

    I have Lenovo 3000 N100

It came with 100 GB hard drive 5400 RPM

What is the maximum hard disk that can be used. Is it possible to only 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM?

    Thanks for the answer

    Abraham

No, I'm this based on the Avenue of the planets. Kidding.

I base this experience with laptops cheaper and lower quality supporting better hard disks, processor, etc. etc.

Also the fact that some N100 configurations included a 250 GB SATA 5400 RPM hard drive. No reason why will not work a 7200 RPM drive.

We invite you to seek advice elsewhere.

  • Lenono 3000 N100 slow battery

In Lenono 3000 N100 default battery about 1 hour charge, which is too high costs, which makes it very hot battery and reduce the life of the battery, my question is how to slow charge battery allows for 3-4 hours?

You must contact Lenovo with this kind of question - Windows does not control the speed at which the battery charges, it's a hardware problem.
