Typing Chinese in iOS 8

I activated the simplified Chinese - Pinyin keyboard in settings. Confirmation of the space is activated; Fuzzy pinyin is off.

In the text editor (Textilus) I switch to the Chinese keyboard. A bunch of hanzi appear in the suggestion, but I haven't typed anything yet. (I'm not fluent Chinese, but they seem to be common hanzi, e.g. 不;) I'm guessing that they're hanzi which often appear at the beginning of a sentence?) I want to type the hanzi comerciales, li. I type l (lowercase L), and four rows of characters appear in the suggestion. the little I know starts with l, so I guess that makes sense. The one I want is not there, however. So I type i (by pressing the i key for emphasis). All the hanzi disappear in the Panel suggestion, which now displays only li, that is, the pinyin for the hanzi I want - but not the hanzi I want. Li also appears in the editor text highlighted in blue. What should I do now? If I press the space bar, the highlighting disappears, leaving the pinyin word in the text, with a space after. If I type the li in the suggestion Panel, nothing happens. How can I get the hanzi for li?

I also tried typing 中, fascinating. Same result: I type z, and five rows of hanzi appear in the suggestion. I add hand the five rows of suggestions change slightly. I add ōand all the hanzi disappear, replaced by zhō in the suggestion Panel. I add ngand now the suggestion pane shows academic, nothing else, and fascinating is highlighted in the text. Press the space bar, the highlighting disappears and fascinating entered the text, followed by a space.

What Miss me?

Correction: When I press the space bar, the highlighting disappears and the pinyin of the Word version is confirmed, but no space is added unless I have press the SPACEBAR again. That's how I expect the Chinese keyboard works (based on experience on Mac), except - how can I get to the pinyin hanzi?

And why I can't edit my post? I'm still registered, but the post never showed a button change as usual.

  • IME (Input Method Editor) keeps crashing my applications (in particular, subject to typing Chinese (Taiwan))

    Question:
Until recently, the IME (Chinese - Taiwan) worked perfectly for me, but yesterday when I was using it to type Chinese, it crashes my applications when I use it (eg. when I tried to type Chinese in Skype, Skype crashed. In IE, IE crashed, in Google Chrome, Chrome crashed, etc.).

    Info:
I use Windows XP Home Edition and my settings for Chinese (Taiwan) is Microsoft New Phonetic IME 2002a (Hanyu Pinyin is selected under the keyboard mapping).

    Things I've tried:
-Under Text Services and input languages, I removed the Chinese (Taiwan) under installed Services, apply the changes and readded so he still hopes once it will work. There can be no.
-I remember typing in Chinese successfully on 16 may, and so I used system restore to restore my system from May 15 in the hope that it will help, restarted the computer, but the same problem persisted.
-J' thought of uninstalling the IME, but didn't know how. Don't know if this is related, but according to the language support extra, the box to install the files for East Asian languages is grayed out, so I could not remove it and reinstall - don't know if this will help.

Any ideas? Please help as I tried Googling for answers, but nothing helps and I'm at my wits end. Appreciate it. Thank you.

  • A free iOS app that reads typed entries to speak out?

    Hello.

Which is good, a free iOS app for iOS v9.3.1 to an old iPhone 4s, who can

translate English entries typed to say outloud (voice of Siri) for those

who can't talk? Also, it can work on cell phone calls?

    Thanks in advane.

Why not use the built in function? Settings > general > accessibility > Vision > speech. From there on, you have three options. Talking about selection, I would be most useful. Once enabled, you can select a block of text, press on and hold it and tap Speak...

I don't know if it will work during a call.

  • How can I use Chinese characters (Mandarin) in CC Comp for iOS

    Hi Wenliz

This is because the computer uses no fonts system iOS. Using Chinese characters in Comp requires choosing a font Typekit that takes in charge of this character set.

You use the versions of creative cloud of our software (and Typekit)? If you are, I can guide you through the steps to get to a Chinese police in Typekit.

    Let me know.

    Sue.

  • Are in several languages, such as English and Chinese feasible as an iOS with classic text app?

I have an application (target iOS) which must be created first in English, then have the content converted into Chinese (which by the way, I don't know).  With TLFtext gone, is it still easy enough to do?  It's a question to include a Chinese police and placing in the characters, or is it more than that?

(And if you know if it works or does not work with Android, please comment too).

    Thank you.

As long as you use a font with these characters, you could go to Embed and click on the ones you want. Or simply click on all glyphs.

However, I think that there may still be questions, and ultimately I also selected use Device Fonts. I know that works on iOS and Android, but it may well use a system similar to my only font embedded.

    Hi urieh,

Disable the preview of fonts in Photoshop preferences

Choose Type > font size preview.

    Select None.

If the above does not help, try to restore Photoshop preferences to default.

. To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"

Let us know if that helps.

  • Calendar Apple App Bug frozen works only with iOS 10 update grrr

Sometimes it will allow me to create but will be trolling with typing and finally crashed or not even save it... Please HELP I am sure what else to do, I tried to download google calendar and which seemed to have something of bug he loves too then something happens. And I tried to delete it and download it again, / force delivery, nothing has changed

    Hi there calsparks!

Thank you for bringing your question on the calendar of freezing and trolling since the update to iOS 10 on your iPhone for Apple Support communities.  I rely on the calendar to keep my life organized, so I'm happy to help you resolve this issue today.

Looks like you did a few good troubleshooting by force to leave the app, force to restart the iPhone and deleting and reinstalling the application calendar.  At this stage my next recommendation would be to backup your iPhone, then erase and restore your iPhone as a new device, then test calendar to see if it behaves correctly, and then restore your backup.
