    Hi guys

I have some problems with this desktop computer. This PC is 1.5 years. I bought an external graphics (GV-R725O5-2gi), but the new GC will not work. I ran the card on an old PC of 5 year with maybe end of 1 PCIe slot that it runs. I have suspected that the card is broken. Stock of 300W power supply, I changed to new 450W. Next step was instalation of the HW on the motherboard, then turn on the PC. This card has no external power supply. The fan on the card works. The PC does not beep ani signals but the screan is black and the PC is no W7 boot. I also have an old (Inno3d GF 7300GS) card for testing. I don't know what interface PCIe gen is the GF 7300 GS but the amd's PCIe Gen 3. The PC works and the start-up of W7 with the GF 7300 GS. I chcked the BIOS for Setup, but it is bad for the config. I turn off power save mode or something like that enable this opt: pic.  My first idea was compatibility question maybe update BIOS version. But when the GF 7300 GS runs that the BIOS is not the problem I think. It is possible that I have to upgrade the BIOS? my version of the bios (2.10.1206) and the site of product extra have a new version (7.15 A Rev. 3.02 M).  Slot PCIe on the PC is 16 X, but the card is only 8 X I have search for PCIe compatibility issues, but CESP 1 standard to the most recent must be compatible. In some cases the PCIe 1 may have some problems. You can put a 3 PCIe Card in a PCIe 2 motherboard and it wil run. Here is the motherboard spec. I think that this configuration should work but I don't know where is the problem. I don't know what to do.  I also read a coment in this forum that the older generation of AMD cards worked well on HP Pavilion P6000 serias. Can you help me???

    PEAK.

    Thanks, Ervin

Based on specifications, your HP p6710cs is four years old and has a PCIe Gen 2.0 x 16 slot. The card you are trying to use is that GEN 3.0 PCIe may require a mother UEFI based that supports a certain level of specification. Please try to older pre-R7/R9 map as the HD 6000 / 7000 series.

  • Pavilion p6000: upgrading Pavilion p6000

Hi, I just got the Pavilion p6000 on ebay for around $ 200 and I want to change the graphics card and possibly add more ram. So I would like to know if it is correct to what I intend to do.

There is some information about the computer that I know:

    : HP Pavilion p6000 series

    Product number: BT493AA #ABC

    Motherboard: N-Alvorix-RS880-formfat (Alvorix)

    RAM: 4096Mb non ecc

    Processor: AMD Athlon (TM) II X 3 445 CPU (CPU 3), ~3.1GHz

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4200 (1916 MB)

I would like to know if I could use a Nvidia GTX 980 graphics card and what is the maximum RAM (ram) the motherboard can support on a 64 bit system.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

You can search the forum "Alvorix" and see what has been already stated.

  • HP pavilion p6000: memory upgrade

Have a Pavilion p6000, SN MXX0490MHH, product # BT543AA #ABA.  Provided 4 x 2 GB with 8 GB of ram installed on the chips.  Operating system is Windows 8.1.  Upgrade to 16 GB and bought 4 x 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz, DIMM parts.  Does not seem to accept the new memory.  Question: Is this good memory, and this system will support 16 GB.

    Hello

Explain what "is not except" means. Windows is not except the new memory or the BIOS does not recognize the memory or the PC does not start with the new memory?

We cannot answer your question, given the information you have posted.  You can certainly search the forum for others who may or may not have success the upgrade of your particular PC model to 16 GB.

Try to clear the CMOS memory. If this does not solve the problem then test each one dimm at a time.  Don't forget, with the former PC HP DIMMs need to be a game.

Try this memory bootable Diagnostics CD. Download memtest86 iso file and burn the disk using Imgburn.

Memtest86 4.20 more Installer USB.  Test each dimm one at a time then as a complete set.

    Hello

Consult thispublication of documentfor general information on the selection of a video card.

I would not recommend an upgrade of the processor until you install a new video card.  Upgrading the CPU may be an unnecessary expense.

The P6000 PC has only a power supply 250 watt so that will have to be replaced.  I would look at the Corsair CX600 because it has the power and the appropriate physical dimensions.

Ultra settings can be a little complicated depending on the game.  I use the NVIDIA GTX 460 with some modern games (COD, BF3 and HAWX 2) with parameters utra without problems.  Right now, I recommend the Sapphire HD 6870.  The 6870 is better than the 460, so you shouldn't have any problems.

    Cluney,

The HP p6805w is a desktop unit.  What is the status of the power supply? Please see here step 2 as the computer does not illuminate.

  • Pavilion p6000 series p6633w: power supply upgrade

Is the format of p6633w and atx pavilion for the power supply compatible, I couldn't find a HP 400w PSU.  They offer a?  The power supply I found is in atx format.

Thank you for the additional information.

The power supply unit (PSU) is a standard ATX.  You can use any brand.  As a precaution, I suggest to measure the PSU existing and comparing measures to whichever you choose.  I love Corsair products.  In addition, a modular power supply is good for cases of average size.  You can only use the cables needed to allow better air circulation in the case.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will allow more power over the maximum use.

  • HP Pavilion P6000: No video

I have a HP Pavilion p6680t CTO desktop PC, brought brand new around 2012 HP. did not any upgrade at all. Have not used in the last months. Lit signal today, no video on the monitor, keyboard doesn't seem to work (you press NumLock and caps lock, no lights). Tried the monitor on another computer, and the video cable both work very well. The CPU and power supply fans work. The lights on the PC turns on as usual. Any suggestion?

Call the HP Technical Support. Has released all of the Rams, then put back them in one at a time, which fixed the problem!

  • Replacing the power supply on a HP Pavilion P6000

Outputs video (DVI and VGA) were both released on my motherboard. Rather than go through the hassle of dealing with Microsoft if I had to replace the MB, I decided to install a MSI Geforce 210 graphics card and the existing PCI express slot. However, the existing power is rated at 250 watts and the new video card got a minimum rating of 300 watts. It seems to work, and I don't do any high-end graphics or game. My main uses of the PC are paying bill online, e-mail and a few online forums. Should I replace the power supply with a higher nominal? I have a Hiper Type R PSU which is estimated at 580 watts and was planning to replace it with the 250, but it looks like not her suits because it is deeper than the power installed about half an inch. The deeper power looks like it should stick on a half inch at the rear of the computer when it is against the stop before power in the case. I would like to have some advice on the use of the existing offer or be able to use my power Hiper 580.

The HP Pavilion P6617C model, which is the number of product BT427AAR developed a standard ATX size power supply. Dimensions (as you know) are 5.9 "x 3.4" on the back and depth 5.5"in the case. The small metal latch/stop button to slide the power supply existing forwards (for removal). There really is no support.

4 rear mounting screws fix the power supply of the Cabinet. Of concern would be the length, an added 0.7 ", as well as cables/connectors.  You can try the Hiper in the case, and if it fits, OK. Otherwise, I suggest a diet that actually matches the Rosewill 630W

  • No Pavilion P6000 desktop no signal to follow after the lightning

I had a lightning which has taken on my desktop HP P6000 computer.

    The model number is QN641AA.

It would not be a signal to the screen. I left the power cord DVI on the graphics card to the motherboard DVI port and it worked for a few minutes.

I replaced the motherboard with a modernized one and a new graphics card. The renovated is not the same, there a few more places to plug things in exacptly. It is supposed to be compatible and it's HP.

I also replaced the processor with a new since I damaged the old a. He has been blocked for the cooling fans and I broke 2 pins.

I don't always get a signal. The hard drive is running, I can hear it. There are no beeps and no lights on the keyboard.

    Any ideas?

I took it to a computer store. The guy he just tested and said that it's a bad mother "renovated".

He said he gets a lot of people bringing them after that that they install 'renovated' mothers purchased online to E - Bay.

He said he thinks he gets as much is because online sellers made test used motherboards that they sell as "refurbished". They just plug in the power outlet and if the LED lights, they say, it's OK.

  • Pavilion P6000: Dead PC?

Hi, I need help on my desk. My PC has 6-7 years now, and I have not activate it for almost 2 months now. I just reactivate it recently and it worked fine for a few minutes, so I went alone and when I came back, it is 'dead' and there not may start more. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you for the additional information.

If it were me, I would buy a power supply at least 500W.  It won't cost much more and it will give you more power for peak usage periods.  According to me, it may even the PSU last longer because it puts less stress on this issue.

I love Corsair products.  A modular power supply is good for small boxes.  Allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary, allowing a better air circulation that will keep the cooler components.  This is a power supply that will work for you.
