U2913WM, dual monitor, contrast and brightness configuration is reset to zero

SER # CN-05W92N-74445-649-A3DL
Computer DELL windows 10
AMD Radeon 6900 with latest drivers
Provided by Dell dvi - d cable
2560 x 1080 at 60 Hz

I bought this from Amazon, and it worked fine for a day or two. Now, when the computer shuts down or sleep the monitor turns on and has a signal, but the contrast and brightness are zero, I can raise them and discern the office, but the color is incorrect.

This is part of a two-monitor display, the other monitor works fine.

Did the hard reset, diagnostic on monitor, and diagnoses are normal.

Get it exchanged.

I am pleased to be with you. I hope you can give me the help I'm looking for cold Chicago.

I have an Aspire 5600U all-in-one computer running 64-bit Windows 8 and I would like to adjust contrast and brightness. I found the buttons on the side right that apparently allow me to do it, but I can't understand how to use them. There is no reference to them in the user manual. The screen is beautiful but too contrasty for photo work and I would like to temper a bit to more closely matching prints.

In 'screen resolution' the recommended setting for the Dell monitor is 2560 x 1600. It is a 2 monitor. I can't double bill for work. correctly. The resolution gets blurred. Can someone please.

    Hi ManajitSengupta,

You want to hope that it is not a compatibility problem, because that could leave you a GROUND for a solution. Assuming that everyone even working on a solution. I had a few problems after the upgrade of Vista that never existed when running the Windows 7 RC on the same computer. The cause of a problem is not necessarily in a straight line between Win7 and the problem device. The only things I can think of now are the driver/software standard, tedious, technical troubleshooting. Starting by ' screens exhibit the same behavior when a simple SVGA driver is all that is installed? »

First try to reset the device by removing the battery for 30 seconds and then replace it. After the device finishes restarting check the new message indicator. Navigate through your list of messages, click on the menu button, choose view saved Messages. Make sure that no unread messages are there.

  • HP 251-a123w: I have a Setup dual monitor using VGA and DVI - D ports?

I want to connect my HP 22uh monitor to my office using a DVI - D to DVI - D configuration.  Then I would like to complete a Setup dual monitor by connecting an Acer X193w monitor to my office using a VGA VGA configuration.

Is this possible?  Two ports on my desktop computer can be used at the same time to support dual monitor?

I see that the cables double monitor are in the form of Y and I thought that maybe a single port may be used simultaneously.  If someone knew this information then it would save some time & money on experimentation...

Monitor HP 22uh was bundled with my new desktop PC and I cleaned the Acer to my now deceased Vista system.  It is in very good condition, would like to add.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about the use of the video taken two DVI and VGA and wanted to help.

According to the technical specifications of HP for your PC, both of these jacks can be used at the same time.

    Good luck

  • E-mail and calendar will not connect on a dual monitor system.

I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid-2012) running on Yosemite 10.10.5.  I currently have a system of dual monitor hooked up with an Acer monitor (version: AL1916W Abd ~ Jan. 2008).  When I use this monitor as Desktop 2 and move my apps to email and calendar to this office, I suddenly find that mail will not receive any new messages very well and the calendar will often lose the connection and does not update to mobile.  I thought maybe of interference on the WiFi, but Google Chrome runs on the desktop at the same speed as on my laptop.  Perhaps it is still a form of interference, but I don't know what is the cause or how to fix it.  Perhaps the monitor is too old and now is not compatible with my operating system?  The monitor is connected with a VGA XAVIER to converter Thunderbolt and a VGA cable normal VGA.

The internet I use is the internet at the University where I work, so reset the router or something like that is not an option.  Help?

Please open the Mission control pane in system preferences and uncheck the box marked

    Viewers have separate spaces

Log off or restart the computer.

  • Dual monitor configuration

I have a Slimline s5380t who recently experienced a hard drive failure.  In car has been replaced and the restored data, however I obviously had to re - install the operating system.  The video card is equipped with two monitors and was therefore set up prior to the crash, but now it does not recognize the two screens.   A common signal is sent to both monitors.   In the configuration window, the computer only recognizes my main monitor on a "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.

I think I lost something in the process of re - install the operating system.  Please notify.

Thank you for the additional information.

Here's a guide to help you troubleshoot the connection of the two monitors.  Sometimes it is good to go step by step since the beginning.

Did you use HP Update and Windows Update to see if one can find the correct driver?

  • How to change the brightness, contrast, and color in the photo viewer in Windows 7?

Change the brightness, contrast, and color in the photo viewer in win 7?

How to change the brightness, contrast and color in the windows photo viewer 7 (I used the fix option in xp and vista)
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi epse30,

In Windows Vista Windows Picture and Fax Viewer has been replaced by the Windows Photo Gallery and there was an option to set the brightness, contrast, etc by using the Fix as you said.

Unfortunately, this option is not available with the Windows Photo Viewer in Windows 7.

    However, Windows Live Photo Gallery has a number of easy to use tools for things like red eye fixing or clearing exposure and low light situations. Windows Live Photo Gallery gives you more creative control over your photos. You can download Windows Live Photo Gallery for free from the link below;

The above article is for Windows Vista, but it remains valid for Windows 7 as well.

  • Hello, brightness/contrast and curves in the adjustment options do not work

The brightness/contrast and curves in the settings options are dimmed. How do I get these back from work?

You're covers a part of the information on the screenshot file, but I think that you are in 32-bit mode. These features do not work with it. Switch to 16 or 8-bit.

  • Are you remember places window and on dual monitor Mac palette

    Mac OS 10.11.4 (El Capitan)

    Mac Pro (early 2008) 8 GB of RAM 2 x 2.8 Ghz

This Mac two monitors has been improved lion in El Capitan yesterday. All right, except that it's not remembering places window between start-ups. So if I drag my Safari window to the 2nd monitor, and then quit and restart the Mac... Safari opens again on the 1st monitor. This is true for all applications... it seems that window locations are "memoirs." I have to rearrange my windows during each session. It's not just Safari... that's a lot of applications (calendar, Pages, Numbers, Safari, Mail) but not all (Calculator, App Store and others remember their positions of windows).

Adobe CS6 application palettes (palettes of tools of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) go to my first monitor any time I switch to another application, and then return. For example... my palette of 'pages' is placed on the second monitor, then I switch to Illustrator and go back to InDesign (not to quit, logging, etc. just an app switch) and all my palettes will jump on the first monitor.

What is going on? How can I stop this behavior? It becomes quite boring.

More info: places of window seems to remember on monitor 1, but if something is moved to monitor 2 and then the location of the window is forgotten the next time the application is started.

  • Dual monitor installed on Inspiron 3487

I'm reposting this question here posted with no luck in the Dell Forum of bureau-video community. BTW, my OS is Windows 8.1 64bits.

I just bought a Dell Inspiron desktop i3847-5386BK and I am trying to achieve a Setup dual monitor with 2 monitors 24 "widescreen LED Dell E2414Hr.

The specifications for the detailed but photos also Office of front, back and inside the computer are here:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16883156238

Basically, the Office has 1 VGA port, 1 HDMI port and multi-port USB 2.0/3.0

Specifications for the monitor, but also detailed photos are here:

    http://www.microcenter.com/product/420579/e2414hr_24_widescreen_led_monitor

Basically, the monitor has 1 VGA and 1 DVI - D port

The first monitor is already connected from the port VGA monitors to the VGA port of the desktop computer via the VGA cable supplied with the monitor.

My question is about the best way to connect the second monitor. One option is to get a HDMI cable at one end (office) and DVI - D at the other end (monitor). The computer will be able to manage this dual output and adjust automatically to both monitors or it will require some changes of setting? The computer lacks a dedicated to my knowledge graphics card and my main goal is to use these monitors independently with occasional extended desktop display.

Also, are there better options for the office monitor the connection in this case as a (office) HDMI to VGA (monitor)? I saw online that the HDMI cables at one end and VGA on the other end could be a scam because it is not possible to convert a digital signal to analog without converter, but also there are people who say this type of cable works fine. Are there better options to connect the second monitor using the USB ports on the computer? Given that one of my monitors is already connected via a VGA cable VGA will be the second different monitor everything in terms of brightness, readability etc if it has a DVI - D instead of VGA input? Finally, what would be a place to get the converter/cable recommended discount?

Sorry for the post of multiple question since a long time, but any help on this would be much appreciated and will help other institutions. Thank you in advance!

Computer output VGA--> VGA cable VGA--> #1 E2414Hr VGA in
Output HDMI--> HDMI to DVI cable to computer--> 2 # E2414Hr DVI in

Once connected, open the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel and configure the second monitor.
