  The specifications for the computer show that they run win 8 64-bit.  Downgrade you for Win 7?

  I understand that you are having problems with your screen either vacuum or go to sleep after a few seconds.  I'm happy to help you with this.

  Please see the following, because it can be the starting point with the problem you mention.
  Solve problems with sleep and the night before extended Modes (Windows Vista)

  If this does not help, then take a look at these:

  The display is Dim during or after the boot or startup

  Troubleshooting of black screens with no start-up or start-up error message
  Diagnose a display LCD (LCD) for damage

  Another thing you can try is updating drivers, if you don't have already done.

  First of all, let me say that I am not computer savy.  I just bought an Alienware 17 June 1.  Got my AGA and installed a Geoforce GTX 980 inside graphics card.  First I tried as far as I know (which is not yet much about computers) to connect an external monitor to the AGM.  For some reason that the monitor does not display anything and my laptop States there is not all the other monitors it can detect.  Now, the other problem I have is that I run games using my AGA and when its connected I can really see my games download restless and slower.  I thought that the whole purpose of the AGM was pushed my graphics and do amazing things... not very frustrating.  Any suggestions on what I might hurt?

  Try the following:

  Disconnect the graph.

  Uninstall the video card drivers.

  Install the following driver (this version is not in the official Dell support website again, however, it has been tested by our engineers)

  Restart the system and connect the graphic amplifier and test it.

  In the print menu, check "scale to fit media" under the Position and size of the device and then check out.

  If you want the area selected for printing, check "Print selected area" under the Position and size and specify the size.

  I have a HP 20wd screen I got a while ago because I had a chance running 10 windows desktop computer.

  Now I have a Mac Book Air 11 inch running OS X 10 update.

  The problem is that the screen displays only the windows desktop, not the Mac.

  The mac CAN recognize the screen in the settings, it also the scale of the screen on the laptop to the monitor, but does not display anything.

  The output is through the thunderbolt adapter to a VGA monitor.

  I tried to change the monitor settings, althhough, it seems there is no driver for windows 10 for the monitor.

  My computer worked fine and both of my monitors worked until recently when my second monitor stopped show all. My computer is always picking up as connected and on but the screen is black and no backlight, my monitor is not working is a hp w1907 and light on the upper part is the color it is on and not asleep. And before that I did my second monitor was my main monitor and it worked fine. I tried to make sure that the plugs are connected and tight and that everything was normal with the pilots and the son and everything worked.   Then, almost certainly, the problem is that the monitor is dead. Especially if it used to work, it is unlikely that ther'e a driver problem.

  You might want to try the monitor to a friend's computer to verify that it is their work.

  I have a Dell Inspiron 700 m laptop.  When I connect to the computer to my TV (a/k/a an external monitor), hold down the "Fn" key and press F8 (the "CRT/LCD" button), my laptop screen blinks and no picture on the external monitor.  One of my friends has a Dell XPS M1210 and - through the same steps - we were able to get the same establishment to work.  Maybe someone has any suggestions for what is the problem?  Would be - it simply a matter of obsolete or incorrect drivers?  Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions.

  P.S. to the difference of the XPS M1210, my Inspiron 700 m does not display again - when I press the key "CRT/LCD" - the box with three display options: integrated screen external monitor and both screens at the same time.  The screen just flashes to black.

  Extend the script to exit with an else statement:

  You can also have an if/else statement for pre-press and postPrint events.

  The dialog box display settings are two buttons: default for display and chipped. Select chipped in the external screen dialog box. This should give you the different options that are available. You can also hold down the option key while clicking on the button of the chipped to see all options, not just the most expensive.

  I just got my new U2913WM yesterday. It works fine other then he said no display port cable when on the display port entry. The monitor works fine with a cable DVI and my PC, but I get no cable error if I try to use a cable of DP with ether a PC or a Mac. I would get one to make them work with the cable of DP that my Mac will not pick up the correct screen resolution when you use HDMI.

  • I have 2 computers, 1 PC and 1 Mac.
  • My PC has 2 ports of DP and my Mac has 1
  • I tried the cable in all DP 3 ports with the same results
  • I went out and bought a new cable of DP and still had the same problem.
  • I tried to turn off the PC, Mac and the monitor and back on their return
  • I also tried turning and turn off the DP 1.2 setting in the monitors OSD
  Can anyone think of anything anyone else I can try? I'm kind of at a loss at the moment other then contact technical support.

  I know that this is a very old post, but I just stumbled on it all trying to solve the same problem. In the case where treated him as stupid as I was, there are TWO display on the Dell U2913WM Ports, in a (#4) and exit (n ° 8). • Dell S2440L will not display size full screen using my HDMI input

  I have a laptop connected via VGA to this monitor and it takes size to display full-screen (ie. the image goes all the way at the edge of the screen).  My desktop PC is connected to the same monitor via a HDMI Monster of good quality cable and my resolution is set to 1920 x 1080 and again the display was about a black 1 inch around edge (ie. the picture is NOT all the way on the screen - there is about an inch all around here it's dark).  When I go to OSD, the Auto setting is gray.  The menu OSD tells me that I'm using "resolution: 1080 p".  I tried to reset the settings of the monitor, but that did not help.

  Because the screen is narrowed down, I don't actually use a native resolution and text rendering is horrible.  In some cases, it is so bad, it is difficult to read some screens.  I need to know how to solve this problem, otherwise the monitor will be back in the store.

  I think that there is a problem with my graphics card.  I connected another computer to this monitor via HDMI and the monitor worked fine.
