Because some say it may decrease the battery life if you always or often recharge your iphone to 100%. They said that it is better not to load it 100%, and some have said it's ok to charge your phone to 100%.

your phone/ipad/computer laptop/ipod is designed to be loaded until it reaches capacity. That's what it is designed by engineers. Then no. • Long battery life suitable Qosmio X 300

    Hi all.

I would buy an extended battery for my Qosmio X 300 15 U.
Can't seem to find one here (Italian language)
    http://it.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/JSP/optionsAndAccessoriesSearch.do?service=it&selOptio nCategory = 4703 & selProduct = 1055522 & id = 22 #a22

    How can I find:

    (1) my special feature type/model/broaching/whatever of current battery to check compatibility
    (2) a long battery life, suitable for my laptop model. (the current life is about 1 hour, depending on the load of HW)

I would stick with the Toshiba products, but other vendors are OK. Europe or Italian is the best.

Thanks a lot for any pointer.

    Diego

I checked the support from Toshiba for some x 300 models page and I found no place where Toshiba offers several different types of battery for this model of laptop.
For example, I know that Toshiba has offered different battery types (different number of cells) for many other models of mobile phone, but not for these portable multimedia Monster.

They have designed activities video games and powerful and the best result is with the settings of high performance and, of course, with high power consumption.
This multimedia laptops are certainly not designed to work with power supply battery.

  • Satellite A100-1011E - how to extend the battery life

    Hello world

I would like to ask you for advice. Given that I just bought this laptop, I would not my battery life shorten as soon as my old laptop. You plug the power cable when the battery is fully charged? Since I'm on cell regularly, 3 h battery is not enough for me. All do you advise me to take the battery out and use that? We hope to get all the valuable tips here. Thank you!

    Hi jimmytee,
After the available studies, newsletters and my experience, there is no need to remove the battery if fully charged when working with AC plugged in. It is recommended only to tell - and recharge the battery once a month, not more. You should not work with AC plugged on and removed the battery.
Furthermore, I'm fighting currently with the battery in a new unit. The battery itself was very fast discharge with the unit is turned off and removed ca connection. Now, the Toshiba service changed the battery. Will see how the situation will be after a few days.

  • Portege R500-126 battery life

I bought the Portege R500-126 @2 nine weeks ago and with SDS and no DVD/CD, I was expecting, as announced, to * 8 hours * autonomy

To test, I fully charged the battery that was supplied with the machine, selected power plan 'Power Saver', out the charger cable and curled only 3 hours later, with no use of computer laptop whatoever, the battery is almost discharged

On the Toshiba sales site, I noticed they sell one * Li - Ion 6 CELLS 5800 MAH * battery for £95 + VAT, is the same battery that comes with R500-126 and is anyone else having this problem?

    Hello

I found this website product Toshiba Portégé R500-126:
    http://UK.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/JSP/productPage.do?PRODUCT_ID=145824

But unfortunately, there is nothing on the duration of battery life.
    There is only this;
Maximum life: currently no Windows Vista battery reference available official result

Still is it that Vista needs more energy as another Vista OS (i.e. XP) eats the laptop and my knowledge resources, he needs two times more energy than XP.
In addition the run time depends on hardware configuration. Stronger systems of waste more energy as devices with a lower yield.

    However, to you in question;
AFAIK the R500 was equipped with the PA3612U-1BAS/BRS 6cell battery pack.

    See you soon

  • ThinkPad X 220 what happened to my battery life?

    Hello

I brought my X 220 in 2011 with a battery 9 cells and could get about 14 hours of battery life out of it. The old battery and would not be at full capacity so I brought a new battery 9 cells of Lenovo in December August 2015. But the new battery gives me only 4 hours of autonomy. What happened to the other 10 hours I used to get in 2011?

    -

    ThinkPad X 220 Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1

    Intel Core i5 2520 M 2.50 GHz

    8.00 GB Dual - Channel DDR3 @ 664 MHz RAM

    Card mother LENOVO 4286CTO

    Screen LCD 1366 x 768

    Intel HD Graphics 3000

Samsung 850 PRO 256GB SSD storage

    Hi Ruben,.

The battery seems fine. She still holds 87% of its nominal capacity. (Less than 80% the first year would be eligible for a replacement under warranty).

When the battery runs down, it does little by little, or is there a point where it drops quickly to say 60% to 20%? (That would be an indication of a defective cell in the battery.)

The drain of the battery elementsindividuellement is the brightness of the screen. Try to reduce that as low as possible.

Regarding the use of CPU in the background, go to the Windows Task Manager (Ctl-Alt-Del...), click the process tab, and you will get a list of all running processes. Click the CPU column to sort descending by the CPU usage.

  • Satellite A215-S4757 - battery life and the problem of cooling fan

    Hello everyone,

I would like to ask a few questions abou my system: first, the cooling fan works in my view too often: almost without interruption, with brakes for 2-3 seconds. Is this normal?

I have my laptop since last August and I think that it shouldn't be a dust problem, because it is too 'young' for this and I do not live in an apartment "dusty"...

In any case, I think that the problem of "almost allways running fan" appeared about 2 months after I bought the laptop. I installed 'Speedfan' and I see 'HD0' temperature increases of 30deg remarks immediately after I have start the laptop, on 39deg after 1 hour.

But the most curious is that so called "Core" temperature oscillates from the beginning between 45deg and 52deg! The fan starts each time the core temperature rises to 50deg and stops when the temperature reached 45deg. This behavior is normal?

Is the normal temperature of 45-50deg? I use my laptop for browsing the Internet, emails, etc., no complex 3d games!

The second thing is that the battery life is (and has been since the beginning) not spectacular: it lasts max. 1.5 hours with wireless use on, but normal laptop (don't play not DVDs or something like that). Is this normal? If so, is it because of the amd processor turion 64 x 2?

Please help me with some tips / advice.

P.S. I bought my Toshiba as I was travelling to the US (NY).

    Thank you much in advance.

    Conrad

    > I would like to ask a few questions about my system: first, the cooling fan works in my view too often: almost without interruption, with brakes for 2-3 seconds. Is this normal?

I m an owner of a Satellite A210. It s similar to the A215. The A210 is a European model and the A215 belongs to the series of cell phones in the United States.
I noticed the same thing on my A210, and I think that's a normal s behavior.

    > But the most curious is that so called "Core" temperature oscillates from the beginning between 45deg and 52deg! The fan starts each time the core temperature rises to 50deg and stops when the temperature reached 45deg. This behavior is normal?
The 40-60deg CPU temperature is not unusual.
The temperature could affect up to 70-80degrees by practicing a game. So Don t worry about the temperature.
Cooling modules are controlled by the BIOS. Fan table is stored in the BIOS and it contains information about the limits of temperature and the use of cooling.
If a certain level of temperature has been reached the cooling module begins to spin with a certain speed.

Now, I would like to say a few words on the life of portable batteries
Generally the duration of battery life depends on the use of portable computers.
While playing games or watching movies the battery a lot faster.

In any case, your laptop is equipped with high performance devices and AFAIK Vista was preinstalled on this series. The two factors (high performance CPU and GPU devices) + Vista OS need a lot of battery power. Vista needs of more resources for laptop like Win XP, and so portable computers equipped with Vista operating system run more short on battery such as laptops pre-installed with Win XP.

Finally and above all he must know that there are different models more strong the battery with high * value of my would help run the notebook longer using the power of the battery.

Hope I could clarify this issue.

    Good bye

  • 15-j171nr battery life

15 - j171nr lists the 5 hours 15 minutes battery life.  15 t-j100 lists as up to 9.5 hours battery life.  Both have the same battery 6 cells.  Why the difference?  Is it because the 15-j171nr has a GeForce graphics card?  If so, is it correct to assume that in any laptop if you choose one of the dedicated graphics cards it will reduce considerably autonomy?

    The short answer is Yes.

The a5-j100 is a configurable base unit. Each increase in performance on the product corresponds to a higher battery drain. Up to 9.5 hours battery life is minimum configurations.

Think of a battery as a tank of gas.

looks like a faster processor by pressing the gas pedal harder, it will use more autonomy.

A dedicated graphics card is like putting in a turbocharger. You get more performance, but use more autonomy.

Even add memory will flow battery faster - why? Because these extra components need energy to be recycled through them constantly. Electronic circuits more in the loop, the more energy it takes to keep their power.

Remember also that the 'up to' ratings on the battery life varies also in your own use.

Imagine two cars with fuel mileage ratings identical. a driver reduces the gas pedal and leads to a constant speed, while the other driver stops and starts quickly. They will each receive a fuel mileage result different.

So, using Microsoft Word with the wireless turns off and the screen brightness turned down give a longer battery life than streamining a film on the interent with maximum brightness.

  • iPhone 5 s battery life

    Hello

I recently bought an iphone 5s. The phone is awesome. But I'm really worried about the battery life. I turned off icloud, updating in the background app off, under notifications, email in manual removal mode and all other parameters it is possible to get the good battery life. I turn off wifi data and cell phone before going to sleep. The next day I see 10% battery drain in 10 hours of sleep. Is this normal?

Have you checked whether the software uses the most of the life of the battery? Go to settings/battery and check the use of the applications. Time of Eve and can also point to background activity. Compare the operating time before going to sleep and when you pick up your device again.

  • Reduced in the coming W540 battery life?

First the good news - it's going to be a W540

    http://shop.Lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ThinkPad/w-series/w540/

Strangely the W540 shows a maximum battery life of 6 hours down from the 7.4 of the W530?

540: "battery lifeup to 6 hours with the battery 6 cells standard."

530: "battery lifeup to 7.4 hours with battery 6 cells removable.

    No idea why?

  • x 230 better battery life

Hi, I've been looking around for a laptop with the best range on the market, and I read the ThinkPad x 230 ( http://www.lenovo.com/products/us/laptop/thinkpad/x-series/x230/ ) has a fairly high autonomy, I was wondering how to do this, this site here. http://blog.laptopmag.com/all-day-strong-longest-lasting-notebooks it is said that it can reach up to 20 hours and 46 minutes with a battery 9 cells and piles of sheet, so I looked around the battery 9 cells on your website and I discovered that it is can be ordered with the laptop or separately so that is not a problem but the problem is with the battery sheet as far as I know, the only one who takes care of the built-in battery is the battery 6 cells sheet here http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-76758 but I'm still not sure how it works, if I'm battery 6 sheets with battery 9 cells with cell phone they would combine in a way their autonomy and work as one and when I load the map of battery would it load both batteries and indicate the level of the two on the sheet of battery? This is what it will really reach 20 hours of battery life without having to change all the parameters of the laptop to take another source of power supply (if I left the laptop on and unattended) me? I'm really looking forward to buy this laptop if the join of the batteries and the work as only and can get up to 20 hours of battery life.

By the looks and personal observation, it's a slice battery.  but that is called an external battery, don't know why.  It is exactly the same as a battery slice.

The two batteries together should get a high number of hours.  I'm not sure of exact times however.  with a light load as you did I'm sure that he would not die for a while.  The exact times are difficult to determine without testing.  Unfortunately I do not have a battery slice.

I think it will be a great tool for the trip.  It is light, fast and has a long battery life.

    I hope this helps.

  • The battery life for T400 Winsows 7

I just ugraded my new t400 for winsows 7. I noticed that the battery life is at about 02:30 hours even in power saving mode. I use the 9-cell battery. When I was on vista it is about 5-6 hours. Please can someone guide me what is happening here. My battery is dead. nothing to do with the parameter? is it related to the upgrade to windows 7. I just bought my system in June.

I changed the built-in graphical bios and disable the ATI graphics because I heard say that windows 7 do not support switchable graphics. My problem is solved and I new more than 6 hours of battery life.

  • The battery life for inspiron 17r special edition or what to buy for College?

I am looking to buy a high mid range laptop for College. I need a laptop that can handle games, in addition to other activities of the College. I've narrowed my search up to three computers different portable all pretty much the same price, and now I don't know that we choose. My three choices are the occasional 17r, the xps 15 Inspiron and alienware m14x.

I'm leaning toward the inspiron because its cheaper than the other two and still a great internals. My only concern is the battery life. The battery is low, and I guess with the i7 and the screen 17 inch hd that the battery of the 17r will be terrible. I need something that's going to allow me to study on campus, if need is and be able to handle the TRIPS would be nice. So my question is... Are their any availble upgraded battery for editing special 17r? I saw a battery 9 cells, but it is not listed specifically as compatible with the Edition special 17r, just a 17r. If there is not, are their suggestions for greater autonomy on the road (without the usual stuff like processes of cutting and dimming of the screen).

Also, on a related note, the inspiron 17r will be able to manage the game well? I don't need a power plant, but I want something that can handle new games for the next two years even if I have to lower the settings as the games become more intense.

    Hi dtruax,

After sending two children to College, I went through this twice buying decision. The first thing I will say is that you're probably not going to carry your laptop on campus, almost as much as you think you will. And all equipped with gaps of a computer on campus, 17 "laptop will become quickly apparent. For the most part he'll be back at home. So the battery life is not as important as you might think.

Regarding the size, two of my students, who initially leaned over to a 17 "machine, were much more happy with a smaller screen (14" for my son, 15 "for my daughter), compared to their classmates with computers laptops 17".

The three models, the XPS is going to be the best for gaming. But I go back to the advice we have been given. Spend a little less on the laptop and a little more to get a 4 year complete care warranty. Many universities offer a 4 year warranty free and tech support if you buy through their Bookstore, which is what we did.

  • Long battery life longer?

How long will it take for Motorola out with long battery life? Even with the battery-saving widgets and e-mail settings, the battery life is not like the blackberry battery life. A word about a newer version of the battery?

I have absolutely no idea.  This is pure conjecture on my part... I think they'll come out with a very soon, as complaints of battery have been commonplace on this forum.  I see that you specifically ask about extended life batteries Motorola, and it's a good thing.  Good number of the first who begin to appear on Ebay and other sources will be almost Rocciamelone be manufactured according to lower standards specifications.  I have been burned several times that I care to admit by buying non - OEM batteries for cell phones and other electronic devices.  I also basically stumbled upon some good deals on batteries long service life which have been excellent according to market vendors.  I hope we get some good news soon.  Merry Christmas and happy new year - Dan
