Hello

Welcome to Lenovo Community

To enable Hibernate in Lenovo UltraBook please do the following

1. press Fn + F2 to enter the BIOS

2. choose "Configuration > operation for the SATA controller mode" as "RAID."

3. Select "Configuration > Intel Quick start technology."

Choose "TSRI support" and Disable value

Press F10 to save settings and reboot

Now, go to windows control panel mode > fast ignition inter > and check it has disabled. If it is not disabled, then manually set to OFF

Now, restart the system and check you'll find hibernation enabled under stop option.

Note: This action will disable Intel Quick start mode and system startup time will also increase slightly

Do this give a try and let us know

Hope this Helps

See you soon!

  • Satellite on Mini L9W - B - battery problems + hibernate option

Hi there, first time poster/toshiba user here...

So I got my mini click about 2 weeks ago... but from the first day the battery does not seem to charge directly.

The Tablet battery would charge very well and would be up to a full 100%.

Then the keyboard battery would start to load and show he's in charge, but he would stay only in this way, the percentage of the battery in the keyboard levels would not rise.

The combined batteries would be a total percentage of 51% level and never more. And when I unplug the charger the battery of the Tablet were starting to ODS of. The keyboard battery would always show 0% if hooked up or not.

I have updated BIOS 1.6, update, reinstalled windows to original settings and even tried the suggested continuous load here and also proposed by customer support 24 HR but nothing has changed.

I'm a little at one end with that like as I'm living in Singapore, I can't send it sent to be repaired as it is not under warranty here (they don't even have hardware/software for her apparently) and it will cost me $150 just for them to watch.

I was told by tech support when I discovered the problem BIOS 1.6 would solve the problem. But he didn't... and a little weird as they took update BIOS 1.6 a few days after the release of it.

A little frustrated because I like really the laptop (perfect for on-the-go/travel).

Another thing I would like to ask, is this model has a Hibernate option? I looked in the manual and it says that it is a he, but all my attempts to try to activate the Hibernate option gave no results.

I hope someone can help me!

I think the battery charge question could be linked to the BIOS and my experience an update of the BIOS (the next version should be v1.70) should solve the problems of charging the battery...

I think that you should pay attention to setting notifications to date that appear in the software Toshiba Service Station... and I think you need to perform this update of the BIOS after releasing.

  • Portgege 2010 lost Hibernate option after WinXP Sp2 upgrade

I just upgraded my Portgege 2010 to Windows XP Pro Corporate SP2 (bought in July 2006). Then, I re-installed the following Toshiba Utilities:
    -common modules
    -keyboard shortcuts
    -power save utility
    -administration console.

As a result, I no longer get the hibernation options - i.e. If I open the Watch program Toshiba power I get a tab - the hibernation tab is missing. I have also no way hibernation using the keyboard or even the option to stop Windows from the start menu. It seems that the new version of Windows is 'broken' the hibernation function. Could someone advise me on how I can restore it please?

You have installed a power gain. Generally, the hibernation mode is disabled and you must enable this option until you use it.
If you can see the power saver icon in the system tray then please, right click this icon and choose hibernation and to allow him.

  • The option of missing Hibernate Latitude 7350

    Hello

I am new to this community.  Hope that someone could help me because I myself got recently a Latitude 7350 2-in-1 and I couldn't find the option of hibernation anywhere.  I searched the Internet and followed the debate Win8.1 Hibernate but yet I still could not find the hibernation option.

This option of hibernation is voluntarily removed from this model?  I understand that DELL place that option is available.  Now the only choice is that I close the Tablet when do not use as standby mode is to drain the battery pretty fast.  It is a real problem that I'm used to use laptop computers with Hibernate option all the time.

Help, please.  Thank you very much in advance.

    Kind regards.

    Ah, I found it!

In power Options\System setting page, to the top there is a link that says "change settings that are currently unavailable." By clicking on that open the possibility to change all the options under stop settings. The advantage of this is adds 'Hibernate' for the shutdown options.

You also have the Hibernate option for things like "when you close the lid" and "when you press the power button."

I third possibility is found by clicking on one of the power Plans, then change Plan Settings, then change power advanced settings. This will open a window that includes sleep. Expand 'Sleep', and which adds setting for such as Hibernate Hibernate options after x minutes. (I think it means after x minutes of being in mode 'sleep').

    Here's a useful site: www.windows10update.com/.../windows-10-tutorials-60-how-to-enable-or-disable-hibernate

  • I put my laptop computer gateway Hibernate about 1 hour ago. Now I can't get the rest up. What should I do? I tried turning, then on it. It starts, and then it goes back to LEEP.

It is a computer laptop gateway with turion x 2

Try a system restore to a point BEFORE this problem started to occur.  Here's how: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If this does not work, try an earlier point or two.

If this does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the Installation of Windows Vista genuine disc or your recovery disk. Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do the CD drive first in the boot sequence.  It was boot the PC and wait for the screen where it shows the F key to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the change, save your work and exit.  Insert the CD into the drive and restart.  When you are prompted, press a key to start the PC.

If you don't have a floppy, you can make a recovery disk to http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ using a burning like software: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and of course a blank CD.  This recovery file is just as good as one that comes with Vista, but it can't do a reinstall.  You can do a system restore or startup repair or even use the command prompt.  Boot from the CD may be your only option to keep the PC "awake" long enough to make the procedures - which even works.

If that is not working, after return and we work on other solutions to the problem - we have still quite a few options, we can try - but I think that the first option (System Restore) is likely to work best if you know ehen this started and can find a restore prior to that point.

Good luck and I hope this helps - but please post back whatever the case.  We are here to help you best we can.
