Satellite Pro P100 - Hibernate option disappeared
Caused by a virus, I was recently forced to 'fix' my installation of Windows XP SP2 on my Satellite Pro P100.
I did it with a 'standard' Windows CD (because restoring one, that comes with the laptop, was supposed to remove all the data and I don't have a recent backup.)
All series except OK, the fact that when I want to stop the machine, I have more option 'Hibernate '.
I checked in the options of power management and hibernation is enabled...
My questions are:
-How can I get this button "hibernate" in the closing window (without having to reinstall everything from scratch
S ' it is not possible, is there a way to put the machine mode Hibernate mode in another way
Hello
Try it please use the FN + F4 key combination. If everything works, you should see the small window in the middle of the screen with option offered hibernation.
By the way: is the combination of keys FN + F3 works for the sleep option?

Satellite Pro P100 - Synaptics touchpad problem with Win 7
Satellite Pro P100 with Synaptics Touchpad, was now running Vista, Win 7 64 bit.
The original driver had an option "disable when the external pointing device connected.I installed a Synaptics Synaptics_v14_0_3_C_XP64_Vista64_Win7 driver - 64_Signed_default.exe that does not have this check box.
It works fine except that sometimes the Microsoft Mouse becomes works all the seconds that she or the touchpad to fight everyone. I have to disable the touchpad.
So the next time I turn. If I do so without a mouse, I can't use the touchpad until I plug the mouse, turn it back on, then disconnect the mouse.Thank you
Hello
Try to install the Synaptics drivers and Alps touchpad page pilot European Toshiba.
Choose the touchpad Win 7 drivers out for a satellite L500 series.By the way; the touchpad can be enabled and disabled by using the FN + F9 button combination. It is not necessary to have all the options if FN + F9 works very well.

I can't write CD on Satellite Pro P100-347
I was recently bought a Satellite Pro P100-347 with Windows XP MCE installed as a desktop computer (the store didn't inform the person who has bought a laptop that was not networked). We have purchased a full copy of Windows XP Pro and booted from the disk, formatted the hard drive and installed XP Pro instead of the ERM and then downloaded and installed all the drivers on the Toshiba site.
I had the "failure to obtain read handle" error starting but followed the recommendations on this site and removed the toshibarc.exe of the registry. Now, the only thing I still need is to get the CD of drivers, because even though I can play CDs and copy on their part, I can't write CD - if I put a blank CD in the drive and select the option to create the writable CD folder, I get an error that says ' D: / is not accessible. Incorrect function. "
I downloaded and installed the DVD-RAM drivers, but I can't find those specifically for the CD. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance,
Jeremy Jones
Hello
In my opinion, you should check the properties of the disk and click the recording tab.
CD recording option on this drive must be marked.I had a similar problem and this hidden option was responsible for registration on my laptop problems

Satellite Pro P100: losing picture on external monitor when using the DVI - D connection
Guys,
I have a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW LCD TV and a Satellite Pro P100 (Geforce Go 7600), recently I bought a DVI - D cable to link them together.
Now the problem is that when I connected to 1400 x 900 LCD TV screen goes to a black screen several times (usually when there is a lot of activity or I'm resizing windows to the maximum to the minimum).
Now, I would have thought it would be the LCD TV doesn't do not signal or refresh rate however I connected using a VGA cable and its fine - no problem just no matter how much I minimize my windows or put a lot of activity on the screen. To complicate matters even more, when I run the screens in "Dual screen" mode instead of "Clone" if I put one of them 1400 x 900 to 59hz in 16 bit it works fine...?
Can someone help please that it made my head that I can't understand what the hell is the cause!
I've included a list below all the different resolutions / screen modes I tried it and the result.
Thanks for your time & help.
Concerning
Craig.

I hope that you have enabled user s manual supplied with your device. On page 148, you will find a very interesting picture on the supported display resolution.
I have to be honest with you and say that I am no expert DVI because my LCD doesn't have this port, just HDMI but if I have understood you as soon as you have problem with a resolution of 1440 x 900 only. This resolution is not listed as supported, and I presume that it is not unusual to have a problem.
Sorry, but I think that you should use maximum supported only resolution 1280 x 1024.

Satellite Pro P100 - screen and sound problems after upgrade to Windows 7
Hi all
I got my Satellite Pro P100 (model number is PSPAEE-00C006EN and the second digit of the serial number is '7') upgraded from Vista to Windows 7, and since then, some bugs seem to have had place - can someone help me on the following:
-L' screen DIMS increments, irrespective of the fact that I have saved my power settings to stay on FULL (battery or sector)
-No sound. Once or twice, the sound card worked and settings to say this works correctly (and you can see the movement of the graphic equalizer).
In terms of PC knowledge, I would be 5/10 (so not a dummy, but certainly not a pro! and we tried a lot of the more obvious things)Thank you all
Hello
1.) if the screen dim option doesn't properly work, I recommend you to reinstall Toshiba Value added Package. This package controls these functions, the keys FN and others. Visit the Toshiba page for an update!
2.) did you check if the sound is muted if the equalizer work? In addition you can also try to update the audio driver might it work ;)

Connect a Toshiba TDP - T8 (projector) to a Satellite Pro P100 PSPA4E
Can someone advise have installed the NVidia driver but without success.
Asked Toshiba Tech support no better.
Advised to visit their help center projector (£1.50 / min) needless complete waste of guy money knew less than me.Purchased two items at the same time, but are completely incompatible or so it seems, what should I do.
Toshiba seem to be incapable of any suitable option!Any one out there can help please.
Hello
As far as I know the Satellite Pro P100 support the
-Port VGA (monitor)
This 15 port pins you allows to connect an external video monitor to the computer-Port DVI (monitor), this is optional and not supported by all Satellite Pro P100
This port allows you to connect an external video monitor to the computer via a DVIcable-S-video output port TV
This s-video out port allows you to connect a TV to cable s-video computer vista 4 pins.
This port returns the NTSC or PAL signal.I put t know what port/cable from the projector supports, but generally, it should be possible to connect this projector to the VGA or DVI port.
Good bye

Satellite Pro P100 - support for 4 GB of RAM in Win7 64 and Intel Virtualization
Hello to the members of the forum,
I have the Satellite Pro P100 (PSPAHE - 002001GR) and I installed the WIN 7 Enterprise 64 free trial. I have Modules of memory 2 x 2 GB Corsair, a T7400 processor and Bios version 4.7. Everything works fine without their memory. Known BIOS all 4 GB, Windows see it uses but only 3 GB. I know im not alone with this problem, but I have not found a solution to solve it. In msconfig, all right, there's max, and the number of processors. RAM not activated.
If someone knows a way to work to use all 4 GB of installed Ram?
I would be much obliged if anyone can help.
Something else. Intel VT - X is not enabled by BIOS. Also, there is no option to do this. When I bought the laptop it is a feature that I want to use, and now the BIOS does not support it. Why didn't pay much for the laptop so characteristic specific card do not work propably?
Thanks to everyone for reading my post and want to help.
SOFC
Hello
Perhaps than that you seem stupid now, but I think that this model laptop was never supported for 64-bit operating systems, and I think the BIOS is also not designed for this.
If you wish, you can call Toshiba nearest service and ask for help. They have access to the database of Toshiba and they can check it for you. -
Satellite Pro P100 - how to enable Intel virtualization technology
Hi all
I have a Satellite Pro P100 P/N PSPA4E-00X00HEN, which I just installed Windows 7 RC.
I desperately need to run Virtual PC 2007 (other versions do not work) on this subject, but he wants that Hardware-Assisted Virtualization allows in the BIOS (Phoenix Technologies V4.70).
I've just updated to the latest version of the BIOS, but it didn't ease for SIAS in it.
I checked the specifications of the processor and there is no installation of Intel virtualization technology. From what I've read on the internet, even if the processor is capable manufacturers on the computers/laptops, in the Toshiba case, program the BIOS to their liking which will turn on or off certain functions.
What I want to know is, it will be another update to enable virtualization or there at - it another way to do it.
Thanks in advance.
Hello
To my knowledge, the use of Virtual PC 2007 does not require a virtual technology supported by the hardware (CPU).
I have used Virtual PC and Virtual Machine on PC without the ability to VT.But you're right. Intel CORE2 DUO T7400(2.16GHZ) processor supports VT
http://Ark.Intel.com/CPU.aspx?GroupID=27256Unfortunately my knowledge the P100 BIOS does not support the option to enable/disable VT.

How to enable virtualization on Satellite Pro P100-PSPAE
HY uall,
I have a Satellite Pro P100-PSPAE with a CPU T5600, it is a core 2 duo CPU with Intel virtualization technology (B.t.w was one the reasons I chose this laptop in particular). Now my XEN-Manager tells me that this technology is not enabled in the BIOS but I can't find any switch to enable it in the BIOS. What I am doing wrong?
Greetings Michael
Hello
Virtualization can be enabled in the BIOS.
But several versions of BIOS don't support such function. If your BIOS does not have option, then you will not be able to activate!
Sorry to say it buddy, but there is not much to do! :( -
Official release of the drivers XP and Vista for Satellite Pro P100 - 465 PSPAEE
When will it be available for XP and Vista for the PSPAEE drivers? Currently there are drivers for the PSPA4E, some of whom work, others do not, no operating system. Yes the laptop is preinstalled with the Vista Upgrade and pilots work, but two of the pilot applications are blocked by Defender (NDSTRay / ConfigFree and VolControl). I couldn't get no option to allow to these (not yet classified MS so they are locked) told me to disable Defender technical support!
I tried a clean install of my own version of Vista business and had problems of drivers with that as well.I would like to run XP until Vista is, shall we say, more effective I would use drivers specifically for her, so time would be very useful.
I would also like to know why there is a where a finger scanner could go under the 0 on the keypad, and a blocked stop lower PCMCIA port (PCI-E?) when any of these are available as an upgrade option? I missed these upgrade options or is it a case of recycled from another model, they exist? If the latter then it is quite cheap for a new machine :)
Hello
We have all the users here can suggest only it seems that Vista and XP drivers are already available for Satellite Pro P100 PSPA4E
So in my opinion the next drivers for the next series should follow in the near futureI don t see it differently as to wait
Of course, you can test different drivers from different series as Sat P100.
Many laptop models use the same devices and therefore different unique pilots could be compatible -
Behavior strange screen/video Satellite Pro P100-109
I have a strange problem with my Satellite Pro (P100-109 model pspa3e 00n009du). I edge video card printing is letting me down, so if anyone has a solution so please help!
Yesterday, while working properly since I bought the machine, I had a strange video behavior. Black icon arround windows not updated correctly etc.
After a restart of the system, these problems seemed resolved, but it lasted just a view minutes.
After awhile, I got a blue screen (BCCode: ea BCP1...) BCP4:00000001 SP: 2.0) learned Internet research that his had to do with the video driver.Symptoms of the display:
-Vertical dotted lines shown on the screen of the bios toshiba (variety of colors)
-Loading of Windows show a few vertical lines as well
-After loading the clickable elements appear black (not titles of window - no buttons shown/rendering)
-L' screen goes black every 4 seconds
-System responds very slowly, but sometimes it seems that it works normally
-mouse disappears
-After awhile that I get a black screen, system does not answer more.
-In windows safe mode (so do not using the nvidia drivers), the display seems to work normallyDID the next trying to solve my problem in vain:
-J' I uninstalled/removed the nvidia drivers and installed the last on the toshiba site.
-Deletion of original and installed drivers drivers Guru3D site (also used the Driverutility from the same site).
-J' I uninstalled/removed the nvidia drivers and installed the original
-Upgrade to SP3Uninstalling the driver (in safe mode) and so to use a generic driver only seem to work.
Anyone know how this can be resolved or are these signs that the nVidia GeForce Go 7900 has been roasted.
Hello
Long story. short answer...
It is really possible that your GPU chip malfunctions.
I came to this conclusion because the laptop don t symptoms occur if the graphics driver is not installed.
If the graphics card driver is installed the graphics card would go with the best performance and possibly graph questions would appear once again.I think that you can't do anything to what might solve this problem outside to contact the ASP in your country and ask for help.
Good luck

Satellite Pro P100 - network adapter disconnects
We worked on a Satellite Pro P100, which has re-product of network problems. After replacing the cables, repatching on LAN, network points and switching points. The contiuned problem to reappear. After reviewing the log events in Windows XP, it indicates that the network adapter has disconnects and reconnects then some time later. We have tried to re - apply readers up-to-date but the problem persists.
Any other suggestions or it's a physical repair job?
Hello
Save option in enabled energy LAN card properties could be responsible for random interruptions in the LAN.
Select the network adapter in the Device Manager and check the properties.
There must be a tab of advanced and power management.
Check this single tabs and disable energy saving. -
Satellite Pro P100: Where can I find the software pre-installed?
Hi all, today I got my satellite pro p100-327. From what I read in the manual of the recovery cd provided is just a copy of windows? If I want to reinstall windows where all programs preinstalled on your laptop can be reinstalled from? Is it possible to make a bootdisk as such?
Thanks for all the help.I'll try to bring light on this case
The Toshiba Recovery CD contains an OEM version of the Windows XP operating system and all Toshiba drivers, tools and utilities are part of this CD.
Simply said, after using the Toshiba Recovery CD, you get the laptop with the factory settings. If you only need drivers Toshiba or tools, you can create a CD of tools & utilities own.
This option is found in the Toshiba support--> Protect Fix & -> Create sub drivers & Tools CDAll the drivers are also placed on the page of the Toshiba driver

Satellite Pro P100 - cable had burned down due to a faulty graphics card
Hello
I have a problem with my Satellite Pro P100 where to win t start, including trying to restart without the battery.I took it for repairers who managed to get it working again. They said a cable leading to the screen had to be replaced with requiring a General Service Officer, as it has been clogged up with dust.
However once I got it home it works ok, but when I tried to access the options for Nvidia graphics display an error message came upward, which suggests that I have maybe need to install a driver of cassis, which I did immediately and restart the computer the problem has reappeared, computer wouldn't boot.
I brought for repairs for the second time and they said the cable had burned down again because of a faulty graphics card and would cost a lot to replace. If someone has had this problem, it is possible to have just the graphics card replaced without replacing the motherboard and it is likely that the motherboard is too damaged.
You will appreciate all the comments/tips
Strange, but I think that there is no other way to replace the motherboard.
The graphic card it s soldered on the motherboard if the entire motherboard must be exchanged.I know that's not good news for you buddy but if the graphics card is faulty, it should be replaced. :(

Hello.
I have a Satellite Pro P100, the sound worked fine for the past 1½ years, but suddenly he disappeared.
When windows all seem to be in order, but no sound out of speakers.Material can I cut my speakers?
Oh, btw, I tried to plug in a headset, they have been too silent.
Thank you
Wolfgarnet
Hello
Did you check if mute is not activated?
You can turn on or off the mute using the FN + ESC.You can also check this-> sound control panel
More I recommend the Device Manager if some yellow exclamation points are visible near the sound card.
An audio driver update would be too good.
