Sleep and Hibernate works not properly
Hello
I have a laptop HP running Win7 64 bit which has developed a problem when you use power-saving features and ensures extended. I rarely stop or restart the system and very rarely use Hibernate, opting instead for simply use sleep function when I close the lid. Stop and restart both to perform as expected, but whenever I try to use the sleep function, either by closing the lid or via the options on the start menu, simply, the screen goes black and the laptop runs - the fan is on and the hard drive light flashes sometimes. I waited for about ten minutes, but nothing changes. Then, when I lift the lid to wake the system, nothing happens and I have to do a closed hard. The same thing happens with the Hibernate.I used the system restore already to try to resolve, by choosing a restore point, a few days before the recent updates or system changes, I did but the problem remains.
I also changed the settings in the power settings to try to solve the problem, but once again failed to do.
I turned it off Hibernation using start, run, powercfg-h off but once again, this has not fixed the problem. >
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Win 7 (64) "sleep" and "hibernate": power supply for USB devices
Hello: Just ordered a new PC with Win 7 Ultimate (64) and I need advice on creating a power plan. I learned the hard way with Vista Ultimate (32) that "sleep" and "hibernate" cuts the power of USB, such as UPS devices with battery backup. It was a bad function, since my UPS runs the software that automatically stops the system if necessary. However, when the Vista computer went to 'sleep', the connection to the ASI has been cut, while the UPS is no longer communicates with the central unit. Therefore, if stopped and directed were needed when the system is idle / "asleep", UPS might not make it. The only solution I could find was to create a custom power plan that stops the CPU (and that only updates the display on screensaver for X minutes and then turns off the screen). Obviously a question of wear for the system, being never in mode 'sleep'. Windows 7 behaves similarly, depriving USB power in "sleep" or "hibernate"? Will I need to apply the same workaround? Please notify. Thank you! daledoc1
Right click on the USB device device manager concerned and select properties then power management and clear the option to Turn off energy-saving and activate the option to wake up from its sleep.

My computer used to stay... since I work with clients, my computer work is often interrupted. He is turns off if I stop for a moment and it's annoying to keep back on each time. The function 'Start'-j' looked where you shut down your computer and noticed "Sleep" - who says turn to turn off and saves the info... and "Hibernate" - which goes out and saves the info... but I don't remember always those who are there. Is there a way to disable this option, so my computer stays on?
It is not related to firefox, but I think I can help you:
- Click on the stack (if you are connected, there a picture of a plug) in your taskbar (near the clock) windows
- Click more power Options
- Otherwise, go to control panel-> power options
- Click change when the computer sleeps
- Adjust the settings so that your computer does not sleep for a long period of time.

Sleep/wake extended options greyed out
I have a HP Compaq Presario CQ61 - Windows 7 64 bit. My sleep and hibernate options in the start menu are grayed out. I thought it was a problem with my video card, and when I go into Device Manager there is a yellow bang next to my called Mobile Intel (r) 4 Series Express Chipset Family display adapter and below it is written: this device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. I tried to update the display adapter according to HP I have the latest driver, so I have no idea what to do? My laptop used to have installed vista, but my hard drive failed, I got a new one installed with Windows 7 and since I got Windows 7, this problem occurred. Help would be much appreciated!

Hi Sam,
A power plan is a collection of hardware settings and system that manages how your computer uses and conserves energy. Power management can save energy, maximize system performance, or balance conservation of energy with performance.
Let us try these methods.
Method 1.
You can run the troubleshooter of power to set your computer's power settings. The resolution of the problems of power check things as settings timeout of your computer, which determines how long the computer waits before turning off the display or enter the mode 'sleep'. These settings can help you save energy and extend the life of the battery in your computer.
Open the power Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows7/open-the-power-troubleshooter
Method 2.
You can create a new power plan and check if that helps.
Change, create, or delete a power plan (scheme): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows7/change-create-or-delete-a-power-plan-scheme

Cannot turn off option "sleep and fresh."
I can't turn off the option "sleep" and fresh. I did not need, and it disrupts the functioning of my scanner. Apparently, we should have two types of USB ports: with the sign 'Flash' (used for the options 'sleep... ") and normal. I have on the left side of my black ports two laptops and Satellite on the right two blue ports.
I can't find the sign "lightning" anywhere and sleep... ' icon appears whenever I plug the scanner; This happens for all 4 ports. I entered the "sleep...". ' Set up the menu and try to disable this option, but it does not work. I tried to uninstall the option "sleep...". ', but it does not appear on the list of programs, you can uninstall.
We should be able to completely eliminate the options that it is not necessary, but I can't manage it.
DanHi Dan
Sleep and charge option can be disabled in the BIOS settings. Have you tried to do already?

Hey mate,
I have too many Qosmio F50 and you can change the option if, after hibernate or stand-by the account should be locked or not. As far as I know that this can be changed in power management.
About this window of Event Viewer, I never heard talk about this and my Qosmio F50 works fairly well with Windows 7. You have installed all the drivers for it? You have yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager?
I also used Windows 7 drivers, but did you download from the Toshiba page? These drivers are pre-tested and normally should work pretty well.

Satellite on Mini L9W - B - battery problems + hibernate option
Hi there, first time poster/toshiba user here...
So I got my mini click about 2 weeks ago... but from the first day the battery does not seem to charge directly.
The Tablet battery would charge very well and would be up to a full 100%.
Then the keyboard battery would start to load and show he's in charge, but he would stay only in this way, the percentage of the battery in the keyboard levels would not rise.
The combined batteries would be a total percentage of 51% level and never more. And when I unplug the charger the battery of the Tablet were starting to ODS of. The keyboard battery would always show 0% if hooked up or not.
I have updated BIOS 1.6, update, reinstalled windows to original settings and even tried the suggested continuous load here and also proposed by customer support 24 HR but nothing has changed.
I'm a little at one end with that like as I'm living in Singapore, I can't send it sent to be repaired as it is not under warranty here (they don't even have hardware/software for her apparently) and it will cost me $150 just for them to watch.
I was told by tech support when I discovered the problem BIOS 1.6 would solve the problem. But he didn't... and a little weird as they took update BIOS 1.6 a few days after the release of it.
A little frustrated because I like really the laptop (perfect for on-the-go/travel).
Another thing I would like to ask, is this model has a Hibernate option? I looked in the manual and it says that it is a he, but all my attempts to try to activate the Hibernate option gave no results.
I hope someone can help me!
I think the battery charge question could be linked to the BIOS and my experience an update of the BIOS (the next version should be v1.70) should solve the problems of charging the battery...
I think that you should pay attention to setting notifications to date that appear in the software Toshiba Service Station... and I think you need to perform this update of the BIOS after releasing.

Re: NB100-12N - what I need to activate sleep and Charge USB in the BIOS
Hello
What I have to go into the BIOS in order to activate this function or it is activated automatically?
In the case where to enter BIOS why this was resolved in this way?
Could not simply be available other hassle?
I really put t know what problems you have with the NB100 and why it of so difficult for you to check if the BIOS contains the USB load option and sleep.
To my knowledge, the NB100 supports 3 USB ports with Sleep and Charge function.
But if you want to know if it s on or off then press F2 immediately after that the laptop was turned on to get access to the BIOS Setup.Enjoy your little NB100

S50-B-12Z - sleep and charge satellite interferes with built-in webcam
Hello
I have a Toshiba SATELLITE S50-B-12Z with Windows 8.1.
Recently, when using Skype, the built-in webcam has stopped working. At first, I thought it broke, until I tried to use the camera application.
This app does blue light and work the webcam, but for a second, then the Toshiba sleep and load the application is passed in and stopped and it starts to alternate between the camera and the blue light and the small window of sleep and the load. So, with no remedy for this situation, I tried the recovery option to get factory settings, same question once again, alternating between the camera and sleep behavior and load.
I tried a refreshment and uninstall the Toshiba sleep and load the software and alternative behavior stopped, but now the webcam does not work. Update another and the same all over again.
I'm not an expert, but for what I see the webcam is related, in this model, for the USB hardware, so I think that sleep and charge feature interferes with the web cam (even when the software is uninstalled).
Ideas for this problem?
Thank you in advance.Bujar
Hi Sonia
To be honest, I don t think that sleep & service or this service would affect the features of webcam.
TOSHIBA sleep utility allows you to charge USB devices such as a cell phone with the computer in standby mode or even stop mode. This is why there should be no link between this function and webcamI can't say with certainty what's going wrong with your internal webcam but the fact is that in many cases the webcam and sleep function & load could be turned on and off in the BIOS.
In my opinion, you should perform a few checks.
First set the default BIOS settings (load default by pressing F9) and check if the webcam is enabled in the BIOS.Second if you think that there is still a link between sleep and charge function and the webcam, then disable the sleep and the load in the BIOS, just to check if it will make a difference.
