UCCX 8.0 - 1 node crashed

Hello

We have a UCCX 8.0 2-cluster running on the servers of the UCS. Recently, when moving from the Publisher (node 1) to a new server of the UCS, we accidentally deleted files of the virtual machine. (there are 2 files in the data store, named UCCX1 and UCCX1_1, my colleague deleted the folder of UCCX1_1 because he thought that it was not necessary). After that, UCCX1_1\UCCX1_1.vmx kept asking the ESXi file when trying to start the server. We had to add the server (in the data store, look for the vmx file) and add to the inventory; the server could start now, but I think that we have lost all the data (we can not access the web Application page).

Now, we still have 2 UCCX running, could force us 1 server to update its database to synchronize with the 2 UCCX? If so, how?

If NOT, what should we do? Re-install everything or is there a better way to recover the cluster?

Thank you

hoanghiep

Hello

on the secondary node, you must change the stats of the Publisher, via the app admin page.  Once that is done, delete the configuration of the server crashed. Rebuild the server form scratch is crushed, readd the server on the cluster and then promote the server as a Publisher.

It is a huge task and a lot can go wrong.  If it's a lab... I would say starting over.  If this is a production environment...  Call the TaC and a list of steps to follow in order.

Don't forget to evaluate useful messages.

Is there a way (except Path Service configuration) to operate "with control unit" for a UDQ, even if some Member servers go down this code?

Thank you very much for your time.

If you want to avoid using the Service path, then the alternative is to make members of highly available destination. This will help to ensure that the host for a particular Member PUA is in place.

One approach to HA is to set up "service migration." For more information, see the white paper of the automatic Migration of Service to

  • Node failure scenario: Messages in NO PERSISTANTS distributed topics

    Hello

In the case of a failure of a node in a cluster with a distributed subject, NO PERSISTANTS messages (which have been already published) are guaranteed to be delivered to the other nodes in the cluster active? I would particularly like to understand regarding the following

    1. what would be the behavior of replication Desitributed topic (given that the messages are replicated to all members of topics)

    2. what would be the behavior of the partitioned subject distributed (as the message is put only on one of the members of the topic... what happens if the node hosting the subject Member goes down)

    3. does specifying the unity of the order in the JMS message has any effect on behavior in above two scenarios of topic (like WebLogic JMS redirects messages with the same disorder unit and to have a distributed target for the same destination Member distributed... what happens if this particular destination member node crashes)

    4. made using topicMessagesDistributionMode = a copy - by application of the MDB has any effect on behavior? (As with a copy-by application, that a single MDB instance for an application across the cluster Gets the message... What happens if the node (in which runs the particular instance of MDB consuming messages) goes down)

Just to emphasize again, I speak only the case of Non-persistent messages.

    Please notify.

    Kind regards
    Arif
    3. If I understand correctly, with unit-of-order, weblogic places the message in the members as one destination... However, because it is a distributed replicated, this member of the particular destination will forward the message to all other members distributed about destination... So, in this case, if the node hosting the original member of destination (where the message was set by jms weblogic) goes down... Then where messages will still be available for the consumption of other members of destination of the subject?

Yes, the order and unique semantic treatment of PUA in scenarios is kept on a basis by Member. Of course, we assume that the topicMessagesDistributionMode is the compatibility or the one-per-server copy mode. See the answers to the following question for the one-copy-by-app mode.

    4. an MDB (with "topicMessagesDistributionMode" = "one-copy-by-app") is deployed on a distributed subject replicated cluster. If a node goes down, the message get delivered to the MDB instances on other nodes?

My current understanding is that with one-copy-by-app mode, each MDB listen to messages on the distributed subject local member of destination with a special message selector (set by weblogic JMS) so that it only retrieves the local messages (and not forwarded messages)... Does this mean that when a node goes down (which included the Member of destination where the message has been original), then the corresponding replication/forward messages cannot be consumed by the MDBs on other nodes in the cluster and the message is essentially lost. This interpretation is correct?
    Your interpretation is correct.

  • If a select query is toggled (in CAR) it will restart the query or get out of the where he was?

Assume that he has already extracted data and running (say join or sort) now and the node crashed, it will restart the query or out of there where he was

As Hemant says, it "will resume' If your system is properly configured, but the way he is to restart the application, but not to send to the client data he already saw - so if you have a query that takes 5 minutes to send all the data and the instance crashes with 10 lines to go to the falied on request will take something like the same 5 minutes to get to the point where it can return the 10 rows.  (If in doubt, test).

Alternatively, take at least one node crashed. As long as the total number of nodes that are high and communicators, forms a majority (assuming that the 'majority' usual default configuration), you're back in business.

All you have to do is to restart the surviving node. She's. Read your first post please check if eth1 is running.

By the way: eth1 cannot be the interface... vip vip interfaces like eth1: '0' - they are virtual interfaces. I´d guess eth1 is your
cluster of interconnection... If it's not available (regardless if the other node is still available or high) will refuse the ASM instance
    to start.

But as I have found your answers here tried to drop the node crashed so uncontrolled, which makes it worse?
If so there is a high possibility you messed up your configuration. But i´d start by checking your interfaces. If this is not
help I recommend opening a SR with Oracle.

What you do makes no sense at all!

Why you try to change the property node of a Boolean control to a class of N845x?  We do not have this installed class, so we will not be able to reproduce your problem.

You don't have any kind of reference wire connected in these property nodes.  If you did not have a wire of the correct class reference, then perhaps LabVIEW would know what you tried to do and would not crash on you.

If you dropped an empty property node in the palette of control of the selected Application class, it always crashed on you?

What happens if you have disconnected the chain wire coming out the property text node, then tried to change the class, it would break.

  • Crash when moving from a structure in a call library function node

I am trying to use a type of Fortran (which I think is similar to a struct) in a LabVIEW call library function node.  I read a few remedies to this topic, but I'm not quite sure if I need to add the name of the parameter list of the node structure.  Now, when I run my VI it closed just LabVIEW entirely with no message.  I've attached the VI that I use and code source fortran, which compiles in my .dll.

    Any help is appreciated.

Do you know if Fortran passes parameters by value or by reference?  I never used it.  A very quick search on the internet gives to think that the parameters must be passed by reference.  If this is the case, then you must pass the entire cluster as the parameter single, similar to Fortran statement.  You must also change the order of cluster to match the order in the Fortran statement.  Try the attached VI.

Hi Mike, I think that there are some old posts on similar problems. There is a known bug related. A quick test, please try to close to the top of the editor on the client PC. Right-click on the icon of the editor on the desktop and select Properties > Compatibility tab, check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode" and choose "Windows 2000" in the menu drop-down. If you don't see any report, but you know, he had an accident, you have chosen diagnostic and using the list of Log Messages. INFORMATION on the USE of DIAGNOSTIC AND choose instead.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you change the UUID ' anonymous, ' a long string of letters, numbers and dashes in the header of the report, if it is present (it cannot be). "

Please do not post other types of diagnostic report - they are very long and rarely useful.

When you post the accident report, you might see an error message on the web page: "you include content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • Crash when upgrading to El Capitan

My brother has a 2009 MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard running he'd like to upgrade to El Capitan.

He began by upgrading to the latest version of Snow Leopard then went to the App Store, logged into his account and started the upgrade. The download went as planned but it got an error message. He saved the Setup log. It is approximately 1.2 MB. Not sure as what to do, but which seems to me to be a relevant article of it, I copied below.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thank you!!

    Try a reboot.

Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Isolate a problem by using a different user account

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

    Safe mode

Test, if iPhoto will also crash, if you disable your network connection and that you launch iPhoto while offline.

If iPhoto works offline, you experience the problem, that iPhoto crashes, because Google's servers for the tickets are no longer available.  Apple cancelled the contract with Google.

Either use iPhoto only offline connection, or patch iPhoto as described in this user Tip: iPhoto 9.4 crashing during playback of the scene

The tip of the user describes the short fix by Huxly647': the solution is to remove both the iPhoto application HTML files. This will stop iPhoto to try to communicate with Google's servers.

Or upgrade to the new Photos.app and El Capitan.

Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

    Step 1

For this step, the title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages

in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu at the top of the screen bar.

In the upper right corner of the Console window, there is a search box to filter. Enter the name of the application crashed or process. For example, if Safari has crashed, you would enter "Safari" (without the quotes).

Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages since the time of the last fall, as appropriate. Copy to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.

The journal contains a large amount of information, almost everything that is not relevant to solve a particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.

Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

    Step 2

In the Console window, clear the search box, and then select

DIAGNOSIS AND diagnostic USE information reports ▹ user

(not diagnose them and use Messages) in the list of logs on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points downwards. You will see a list of reports of incidents. The name of each report begins with the name of the process and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report on the process in question. The content of the report is displayed at right. Allows you to copy and paste to validate all of the content, text, not a screenshot.

I know that the report is long, perhaps several hundred lines. Please report all this anyway. If the report is only a few lines, make sure that you have disabled the search box.

When you post the journal excerpt or the accident report, you might see an error message on the web page: "you have included content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.
