UCS C200 M2 - screw drive plate?

Hi all

I have a server of beam C200 M2 for my lab at home that came without the installed disks.

Given that that's only laboratory work and I wanted to save money, I used my own SATA drives but I could not find the screws that are pretty slim head use without scraping the bottom of the server.

Someone at - it a source for the screws that work or know a reference number that I can order just the screws of Cisco?

Thank you

Brian Wyland

Brian,

Shoot me a private message.  I have a suggestion for you.

Kind regards

Robert

    Hello

If the State of the reader to not configured well. You will need access to the Webbios to change online status and allow reconstruction to be undertaken.

  • UCS C200 RAID solution

    Hello

I hope for your help about the technical question about the RAID.

We bought a server in a rack of Cisco UCS C200. Now I looking for information on the best RAID solution in our case.

    The question:

As I understand it, there is an integrated RAID solution: Intel ICH10R in UCS C200 server. We use this RAID configuration now and it works OK. However, we wonder if it is worth installing the PCIe controller (we have HP Smart Array P410 (ATA/dis2) card). We use currently 4 SATA and RAID drives works as expected, but we are interested in, if there are all the advantages of the separate RAID controller card. Above all, we are interested of performance benefits as we plan to have a lot of disk writes (records call - about 10-20 calls per hour, lasting 2 minutes on average). We would be happy to stay with RAID integrated if it works stable. On the other hand, we will install the above mentioned Intel RAID card if you say that it would be the best solution about the reliability and wear of the disc.

I would be grateful for any comments.

    Kind regards

    Vytas

    Vytas,

Your question is probably down to RAID levels supported for each card.  The performance of each should be relavitley the same, so I would not concentrate on that.

The only supported RAID controllers are listed here and must be purchased from Cisco:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/unified_computing/UCS/c/HW/C200M1/install/RAID.html#wp1015625

"Others' work, but you'd be yourself if you encountered problems with TAC.

The integrated Intel ICH10R card supports up to four SATA using RAID0 (striped) or RAID1 (mirror) drives.

If you need one RAID5, 10 or more, then you must a MegaRAID controller to do.

All RAID controllers provided by Cisco are heavily on trial and could be your best option for reliability and performance.

  • HP EliteDesk 800 G2: HP EliteDesk 800 G2 2.5 inch screw drive

Where can I get screws drive 2.5 inches.  They are distinguished by the 3.5 inch mounting screws.  These should be shock resistant mounting screws.

I can't believe that it was so difficult for an answer.  I found that they use the isolation to drive screws 2.5 "on the recent series of mini EliteDesk.

    The correct answer is:

HP part # 594220-001 - past - son of insulation of hard drive (blue color)

They are difficult to find than the 3.5 "drive of isolation living in the after-market.

  • Changes made to the screw driver in the Interface of Simulation Toolkit (SIT) are not translated

    Hello

I use Simulation Interface Toolkit to target a controller built in Simulink on a PXI target. I used the SIT connection manager to generate the driver screws I had to make some changes in the screw driver specifically Read.vi IO. I made the changes and the entire application runs without error. But the changes are not getting in the functioning of the application, essentially when I load the thing on PXI and run it, it contains exactly as it was before behaiving I made these changes. Some how the changes I make to the Read.vi of e/s are not begin day somewhere in the top vi driver.

Could someone help me with this please.

    Eliane.

    Hi Bill,

Thank you very much for looking into this. Solved the problem.

The problem was that whenever it makes a change one driver that saw VI top-level driver must be opened and saved again. This opening and registration links the pilot with new changed correctly VI and then everything works fine.

    Thanks again.

  • UCS C200 and NIC Teaming/FailOver

As UCS C200 with management of a 10/100 and 10/100/two interface 1000 interfaces and PCIe with 4NIC

I want to install CUCM 8.5 is the NIC Teaming/failover supported by UCS C200 and how to set up the NIC Managment interface with failover?

    Thank you.

    Hello

As you install apps from the CPU on the server of the UCS, speech application team listed their recommendations here.

    http://docwiki.Cisco.com/wiki/QoS_Design_Considerations_for_Virtual_UC_with_UCS#Guidelines_for_Physical_LAN_Links.2C_Trunking_and_Traffic_Sizing

You can create a NIC teaming in the ESXi via vSphere client software for traffic from from / destined for virtual machines.

For C200, we have only one management port and if you use the management for MMIC traffic port, switch option is not available.

However, if you choose to use host for MMIC traffic NETWORK ports, you can set up CIMC NIC mode for 'LOM shared' which provides the NIC teaming options.

    Hello

My company bought 5 units of CISCO UCS C200 M2. The servers are equipped with 2 x 6 core 2.67 GHz. The server was also equipped with 32 GB of ram. One of the shows Server alert light yellow on mem and warning on the front panel. Can someone tell what could possibly cause this problem?

    Thank you

    Logan

    Hi Steve,.

There could be a faulty MEMORY Strip on the system, in the MMIC, you can check the logs SALT (System event log) that will provide you with more details.

I give advice you open a TAC case for this, we can take a look at the tech show and understand why accurate and if necessary replace the defective DIMM module / part (if defective).

    Thank you!

  • UCS C200 Server Power Supply Question

We make some changes in our data center and which involves electric grid.  We had to replace our Dustribution of power rack and to respond to the charge, we moved 208V, 3 phase power distribution.  Read the literature, I see that the power supply to the UCS C200 servers can operate 115V to 230V AC.

My questions are: is it everything I have on power supply from 120V AC 208 v power supply power supply power supply?  Can I have a power running at 120 v and the other operating at 208V?  I try to avoid the closure of the server.

  • UCS C200 M2 could not start

    Hi all

My Cisco UCS C200 could not start. Once checked, I found that the problem is the raid controller, the card may not work properly.

the type of raid used controller is LSI MegaRAID 9260-4i

can I replace this controller card with different types such as LSI MegaRAID 9260-8i

If can, what should I do? are there concerns?

    Thank you for your kindness

That should be fine.  See the documentation of the TA on the exact process of swapping the controller, but since they are of the same generation, just different port internal account (4 vs 8) and all RAID information is stored on the discs themselves, you should have no problem exchange controllers and imports of table on the new controller.  Once swap you controllers, host of startup, enter the optional ROM of LSI and check if the table is waiting for import (if she is not the automatic import).

    Kind regards

  • MMIC UCS C200 M2 blade - cannot access

    Hi all

I was hoping someone in this forum could help with a problem I have on a customer site. We have therefore two blades UCS C200 M2 we cannot access MMIC of. When I try to reach the IP address, the browser just sits there, but the IP address is an echo request ICMP who responded. I rebooted a systems press F2 and tried to launch the utility BIOS Setup MMIC but received a message "no attention not found" and the only option was to hit very well.

What would cause this? And should I update the firmware? If I need to update the firmware how can I go about this...?

In addition, these systems are running ESXi 4.1, but I believe that the version of VMware is not compatible. Could someone help me confirm this?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    -Bobby

    Hello

    It worked before?

If this is not the case, try resetting the MMIC or it could be a browser/java problem too. The problem exists across the browser and several pc user.

  • execution of the RT custom device screw driver

    Hi all

I'm building a custom device in which I expect a user input. (user provides entries on the home page of the custom device).

Once the entry is expected on this basis I read the file-specific data and creating channels and article.

Previously creating channels and article I in the initailiazation code.  But now that I'm waiting for user input I can't create these channels during initialization (reason is before getting the input channels will be created which I don't want. My creation of channel depends on the intervention of the user).

If this logic of formation of channel I now write in pilot RT VI with my main logic of the reading and writing of the channels. For this I just want to know what exactly is the RT pilot VI begins its execution?

If the RT Vi driver starts to run after adding the deivce custom veristand and after giving the user input and then my purpose will be resolved.

I hope I explained my question correctly.

The pilot begins after the definition of the system is deployed.  I don't think you can add strings in VI driver.  Nor do I think that you want, because you won't have an interface for them in the system definition.  Without a channel interface, i.e. mapping, how do you get data in and out of them?  I think your plan to create channels based on user input and data configuration are fine.  I suggest that you implement in the homepage or pages on the main page.
