  Hi, we solved this problem.

  For later use on anyone having the same issue:

  Judging by the logs, it seems that Essbase is looking for value hardcoded for the Essbase server: "EssbaseCluster-1".

  I added this 'server name' to the hosts file server as an alias of the address IP of the server and it worked!

  I tried both in Excel 2007 and 2003 and I use Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3. In Excel, I went to Hyperion > Options and http://servername:8300/HyperionPlanning/SmartView as Hyperion URL of the Service provider. Then, when I go to the Source of data manager, no request for Hyperion Planning don't appear in the tree, same tree does not appear with his records. And when I click on connect to the service provider in Data Source Manager, SmartView throws a message box: failed to load the next resource: Please enter the user credentials to connect. After the closure of this box and click to connect to the service provider for the second time, then already nothing happens and even the error box does not appear.
  
  However, if I set http://servername:13080/aps/SmartView as Hyperion URL of the Service provider, Data Source Manager displays cubic Essbase. So I'd be grateful for any hint on where I should look in to fix this :)

  Use the aps/SmartView link, this is the good link through provider services. The other link is used in the independent expression, rather than the current connection.

  I don't want to go to this conclusion immediately. When you set the static IP address on the front of the printer, it allow you to set a static DNS? Static DNS is the important part of this step. If it won't let you set the static DNS, go to EWS printer by typing it's IP address in a web browser. Set the printer to use Google's DNS (8.8.8.8 = Preferred: Alternate = 8.8.4.4). Once you set the static DNS, turn off the printer and the router. Turn on the router first and let it stabilize before turning on the printer. It normally takes a minute or two for a router stabilize. Let me know what happens.

  I have an acer w/Windows 7 and when I turn on the computer, it does not connect to the internet, it says unidentified network and does not connect. What are the options at this point? Modem provided by my cable company a Motorola 6580.  Now, if I unplug the modem and click on diagnose connection, it will connect not ultimately.  This however is ridiculous because I did not have to do when the computer is difficult in the modem cable.
