Unable to delete the dllhost.exe process that slows down my computer

Original title: dllhost.exe

Last week (about 20 October 2014) dllhost.exe began to multiply com surrogate sessions until it slows down or blocks my request. I read through the answers and no address my situation: laptop Asus, Win7 64 bit, with 6 GB of RAM only games that come with Windows MS or MS Word (2007). The only way I can continue to do work is to maintain a process of window open and close each process manually. The last "update" was wrong somehow?

If this problem coincided with an update of windows, run windows Update, see history and tell us what KB update have been installed to date

You can also try a clean boot, and then see the problem is replicated

    Hello

1 did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    2. What is the full error message that you receive?

    Sorry to hear that.

Would be not deleted if the unit is protected in writing or because of malicious content.

I suggest you to reference methods listed below:

    Method 1:

    a. Click Start, click my computer

    b. right-click on the USB drive and select Properties

    c. uncheck the read-only option if it is turned on

Note: Click Yes when the option appears saying apply the changes to the files writing to this folder and subfolders

    d. click apply and Ok

    e. try to delete the files

    Method 2: Run virus scan

Analyze the computer to remove all possible malicious content.

    See the site:

    Microsoft safety scanner

    http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • Dllhost.exe surrogate COM slow down the computer using the memory

    Hello

I could really use some help if anyone has the time. :-)
My computer behaves strangely since I made a restore point.
I did the restore point because I could not get online, oddly enough it turned out to be a loose wire.
Anyway, now there is an application that keeps popping up in my task manager using most of my cpu, so my
computer bogged down. It is named dllhost.exe COM surrogate and when I opened its location
He was in my folder windows32. It is not my services that I can see, but it seems to be bound to play
video or music files. I could be wrong.
I did the usual antivirus (avast free edition free antivirus and malwarbytes) analysis, I defragmented
my computer, I did a scan of system, I did a scan of the memory...  I can't understand.
    Any suggestions?
My computer has 16 GB of installed RAM and 1 TB HDD I am running Windows 7
    Professional 64-bit.
    Thank you in advance.  :-)

I did go to the task manager of windows, processes, sort them alphabetically by the description column, you can list by going to display and select column, and then down to the substitution of com and do a right-click and choose end process... you may need to do more than once... This will remove at least for awhile... it is mainly used to display thumbnail pictures in my photo folder... you can the delete permanently, but then you would not have miniature photos...

  • Wmplayer.exe in list of logon process and slow down my computer automatically

    Hello!

All the minutes (and it can happen several times in a minute or two, then accompany minutes nothing happens) my mouse freezes and my computer "thinks" for a few seconds, as something that four-color or trying to open, only nothing is.

I opened the Task Manager upward and looked at the list of processes, and "wmplayer.exe" opens and closes during this period.

I found this problem in the Windows 7 forums, and that's exactly what I saw, only when running Vista and NOT 7.

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7performance/thread/d3e2abf1-1ebc-4048-b58e-f369b999c65c

Edit: I did a few things. Originally, before the beginning of the process, I changed USB ports of the just in case, mice that did not work. I did several tests and checked the registry for a particular worm that seems to mimic some of these symptoms. I tried to open wmp to see if it is open it would attempt to run, which he did not. I also deleted the plugin Firefox wmp in case that is the question. None of them helped.

Edit again: I took the step on the reference station and did a clean boot. This does not prevent the problem. Wmplayer.exe has always arisen as I explained above.

    Any ideas? Thank you!

    Hello!

Just an update for those who have this problem.

Nothing above helped at all. I had several people look at the computer, had many suggestions from different people, went up to remove wmp and synchronization of the computer, but nothing helps. I always had this problem.

On a whim, a few days ago, I decided to try to buy a new mouse. Couldn't hurt, right? :) And here, I have not had the problem since. Try a new mouse! Worked for me.

  • How to kill the cooling system warning that slows down the CPU?

    Laptop: Satellite S2450-101

    Please help me ;-)

I had problems with a fan on the motherboard connector. I'm a "craft" bridge to make it work. Now, I was able to control temperatures: I do the works of CPU to 100% and the temperatures indicated by 'SpeedFan' remains to the "Local Temp = Temp 36 ° C / 44 ° C and 43 ° C = Temp1 = remote." The exhaust gas remains 'soft' and never hot as bafore (60 ° C and more). Now, I think it's actually safe... BUT... I still have a lot of unpredictable warning that slow (and it's deep...) of the processor.

It is said (translation from the french): _ "WARNING: an error was detected on the cooling system." Shut down your computer immediately and consult our provider "_".

To be honest, I don't know if this is really the connector error... maybe other hardware (probe...) or a software problem. * I just can't use my computer with this warning... Please, help me to kill this process or perhaps only to stop the "crunch" of the processor *. I do research in the registry, but without success.

    Thank you.

    Best regards.

If I understand you correctly, you manipulated mainboard and now you also want to manipulate this warning.
As I know the owners of laptops have no influence on this warning and you can not disable it so just.
What would happen if each of us might be able to turn off all annoying warnings and ignore the material damage?

  • Svchost.exe is SIGNIFICANTLY slow down my computer

Hello, I recently went on vacation last week and a half before hand, I shut down my computer, so there are no memory leaks for my era [6 days].  I came home and turned on the computer which ran fine for awhile.  But then my computer started to act, because every once and a while, but this lasted since I got home.  Norton is my anti-virus and continues to tell me that "svchost.exe" using a lot of memory.  I must have at least 15 + svchost.exe process open for what reason so ever.  3 of which are in high use [one to 70,000] and the second at 20,000 and the other 10,000.  The first two [70 000 and 20,000] are both in the category of user name of the 'system' and the third one [10 000] is in the category of user name "Local Service".  I need help to solve this.

I was wondering if it could be a virus/Trojan horse that has affected the svchost.exe program?

It can also be a good idea to start safe mode and check your memory usage

It would seem that if you have spyware using a lot of RAM, then it would
also use some cpu resources because it sends its information on the net.

BTW - I've never had malware/spyware in ten years of using a PC (had
false positive since my AV well), but I do not use torrent sites, social networks or open unwanted e-mails that are the main source of bad things.
Your problem may be something else, virus, etc. are known to install at the re-start and can be installed in the boot sector of the HARD disk where they are very difficult to remove.

  • I can't find the fix_svchost.bat file update. The svchost.exe process is spiking the CPU at 100% after the computer crashes.

Original title: I can't find the fix_svchost.bat file update.

I'm in you process of having my computer running faster. The svchost.exe process takes 100% of cpu memory and computer dthe freezes. A friend of mine told me a method to solve the problem, but I can't find the fix_svchost.bat update. I went to microsoft update center and don't find any results at all, and I don't know another place to look for. I think that the update does not even exist.

I could send you a fix_svchost.bat file, but I don't think it's the starting point.

What you need to do is run a few respectable scans for malware first, and then see if any of you are your svchost.exe process is still badly behave.

Behind each of the svchost.exe process that see you in the Manager of tasks can be one or more process of XP you have to be running, but malware is KNOWN to imitate or hide behind a svchost.exe process, so you won't be able to see in Manager tasks.  You have to outsmart it.

First yo should make a reasonable effort to eliminate malware, and then start troubleshooting - not the other way around.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

No matter what you use for malware protection, follow these steps:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

These comprehensive analyses can take some time, but you really need to run.  SAS will probably be just a bunch of Internet tracking cookies, but you can remove them.  Once you have done at least a full analysis, you can do quick scans in the future to save time and save the analyses complete for when you have more time or are really suspicious of an infection of the system.

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

In 1985, there were 11 known computer viruses.  Today, there are over 70,000 and new threats are detected every day.  Always update your virus definitions before running a scan.

  • high utilization of the processor in the Explorer.exe process

As the title suggests, the fix didn't help me with this problem.

The Explorer still consumes 99% - the power of the CPU after opening a folder that contains .wav files.

Here is the link to the support thread: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976417/en-us/

    * Title *.
CPU utilization remains high in the Explorer.exe process after opening a folder that contains the corrupted .wav files - even after using the KB976417 Hotfix

You can determine exactly what causes most of the performance issues by following the steps below:

Method 1: Put the computer in safe mode and see if the problem persists:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Method 2: Clean boot

If the problem is not repeated in safe mode, there is probably a startup item or service is causing the problem. Follow the steps on the following link to locate the item or service responsible for the error:
