Unable to detect webcam

Hello. I am currently using ASUS A43S with webcam in the generation. Since the update to 6.18 my webcam seems unable be detected by Skype. I run a dxdiag.exe and zipped in the attachment below. Hope that my problem can be resolved as soon as POSSIBLE. Thanks in advance!

The diagnostic tool has crashed on the information system:

DxDiag previously: crashed in the information system (step 4). Re-run DxDiag with the command line parameter 'dontskip' or choose to not to ignore when you are prompted to collect information could result in DxDiag getting this information

It would be better to run the 32-bit DxDiag version not all the info is available in the 64-bit version.

You probably installed Asus Virtual Camera application. Uninstall this application can solve your problem. If this isn't the case, then uninstall the currently installed version of Skype and install the 6.14.104 version by using the download links provided here:

http://community.Skype.com/T5/Windows-desktop-client/ASUS-USB2-0-webcam-not-recognized-by-Skype-6-18...

Be sure to turn off the automatic updates.

  • Re: Satellite L450-173 - unable to detect wireless networks

I have a similar problem with my satellite L450-173.

I bought this laptop without OS and installed win 7.
I found and downloaded the latest drivers toshiba WLAN support and download page and my Device Manager indicates that the device is turned on and that it works correctly.

However, I am unable to detect the networks without wire in the box (alltough there are at least three in the district).
I have a home network with the router. When I connect to my laptop with a LAN cable, it connects automatically without problem. But I can not connect via my wireless connection.

Windows troubleshooting is of no use.
I downloaded the chipset drivers updated too (following the suggestion by an online forum), but which did not help at all.
My "doctor Conectivity" reported that my wlan adapter is 'on', but when I enter the 'Radar' option, it reports that this wireless network device is disabled. I tried to disable and then enable once again, but it did not help. I also used the option reset address IP - no use. My IP address is set to auto because my network is connected by the router.
I tried pressing FN + F8 but I have not noticed any change.

Indicator LED for a wireless connection at the front of the laptop is always red.
I read many forums linking similar issues to win 7, but I have not found any solution.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

Eventually the WiFi network is disabled and so you cannot connect to the Wlan router.
If the FN + F8 does not change the status of WLan, then it would mean that Don t FN buttons work properly have you checked if the other FN keys work?

You must reinstall the VAP (value added package) to obtain the keys FN working again
If you want to use the Fn + F8 then you should see (flashcard) WLan icon on the screen

    Another idea;
You can toggle the wifi in the Device Manager-> card Wlan-> properties-> Advanced tab.
    Check this box

PS: If the BIOS is not updated, then you need to update it too!

  • MAX is unable to detect the webcams

I have three different webcams. Two of them worked in MAX and LabVIEW. When I tried to install the third argument, everything stopped working.

I think the problem was perhaps a database corrupted - I received the following error message:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/7FF79722720AEE488625759B0074A2CA?OpenDocument

I followed the steps listed on this page, which did not solve the problem.

I then reinstalled MAX and LabVIEW, and this has not solved the problem either. Or MAX no LabVIEW can 'see' one of the three webcams.

All three are standard webcams and should be detectable by LabVIEW. I use LabVIEW 8.6 with Vision Acquisition 8.6 and IMAQdx.

    Webcams are all series:

-HP Webcam (integrated in the laptop, not sure type bus)

    -Logitech Quickcam

    -Microsoft Lifecam

The three cameras work on this computer - they work very well with their Aboriginal viewers. The first two worked fine before LabVIEW.

Is there a way I can * force * MAX to recognize these devices?

Vision acquisition 8.6 does not support DirectShow/USB cameras. Which has been added in 2009. I'm guessing that you have a newer version already installed? I would say go and grabbing the latest version here:

  • cRIO 9076 Unable to Detect physical channel

    Hi all

I'm currently trying to acquire data using NOR cRIO 9076 controller integrated, but I am unable to create virtual channels using DAQmx. My situation is summarized below.

    Material:

NEITHER cRIO 9076 integrated controller RT

    NI 9205 analog input module

    E/s digital NI 9403 module

    Software:

    LabVIEW 2011

    Compact-Rio 4.0

    MAX 5.0

    NOR-DAQmx 9.3

All channels of the C-series module and chassis are visible in NOR Distributed System Manager and Labview Project Explorer.

But when you use MAX to create a new task DAQmx, I can't detect the physical channels. The two NOR-DAQmx in Labview and right-click to headquarters of the MAX data to create NI DAQmx task / Global Virtual Channel give the message "No. supported Devices Found."

In addition, material also doesn't seem to appear under "devices devices and Network Interfaces.  When comes to "find NI DAQmx your network equipment", he stated that "no devices were found. The controller was named "VIGREN. Detect manually by using the host name and intellectual property also failed to detect.

    My question is:

    1. How does the PC detects the chassis and modules, but when it come to NI DAQmx, it does not detect the physical channels? What is a software/hardware or network junk?

2 not compatible with NI DAQmx RT 9076 cRIO controller? And that's why Scan Interface or Interface FPGA used instead? In light of the seamless functionality, I prefer to continue OR DAQmx to configure my acquisition of data.

    Thank you.

    Hi Vigren,

I think you misunderstand some of the concept here.

cRio is a real-time system and is not a DAQ board that you can not use DAQmx with it.

You can refer to this link for discussion for more information

You can use the scan or FPGA to purchase.

  • Linksys wireless-g usb network adapter unable to detect the router using windows XP desktop PC

I've changed in broadband Orange yesterday and since then my adapter is unable to find the network (it was working fine with TalkTalk until I changed).

He managed to find a couple of other networks that are nearby but nothing else.

I have a laptop (windows 7) who finds the router Orange immediately. I tested the adapter with the laptop and it finds the router Orange plus about 10 other nearby networks.

I rang Orange who crossed their tests and not found any problems. I uninstalled and reinstalled the adapter on the windows XP desktop, but I get the same result.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Thanks for the reply.

I got it finally work last night after a day of cleaning up!

Even if the network does not have to be detected in the available wireless networks "choose" I tried the "New Connection Wizard" and entered all the details that came with the router. The adapter found the Orange router but nothing else in the region.

For now, it works but there is a problem somewhere, because I don't see any networks, I can see on my laptop.

    See you soon.
