  Look closely.  It should be under file > processing of multiple files.  Make sure you don't overwrite your original files.

  If a single file, make a copy of the file, create your image in a separate layer and reduce the opacity.  Then flatten image and save it.

  What is my procedure for a book -

  1. Select the images I want in the book. (You can use flags, stars, any method, if you want)

  2. create a standard Collection, by adding selected images.

  Tip: You can make this new collection, the collection 'target' and then press 'B' to bounce more images selected in the target Collection. (This will only be a temporary collection)

  3. with all the images in your book in a standard Collection that is visible on the screen, select all the [CTRL + A] and goto the book Module. [CTRL + ALT + 4]

  4 start designing your book. (Format of book set in the beginning!)

  5. at some point early in your design of work - click the TAB "create a saved book." This will create a new "Smart (book) Collection" that will be updated automatically as you work to capture, retain and show all your design work.

  6. send to Blurb.

  * In the future you ALWAYS will take over the design of your book by clicking the white arrow that appears at the end of the "Collection Smart (book)" named in the collections Panel.

  * To add more images from the book, drag them from the grid of the library on the Collection "(book) Smart", they will appear at the end of the film in the book module.

I am currently developing a strategy game with the film's Director and one of the things I encountered is that I want to update the number of units that I have in a Panel (initially setting up game) via 1) update of a text member that keeps the number of units left to install and copyPixeling the image on the Panel. This I realized only because my image of Member text does not initially alpha and the Panel is semitransparent, encompassing a white (no matter the bckgrnd color that I put for the text member) appears in the final result. I guess the way to go is to duplicate the image of Member text and make a 1-bit mask image then using the proper Imaging lingo command (don't remember if it is copyPixels or another at this point). Imaging lingo is very interesting for me since normally, I built all my applications directly using the partition (15 years exp with the Director). This is my first game where I rely mainly on parent scripting and in some cases imaging lingo.

  It is currently the manager who does the work. He: 1) stores the image of the text member "panelCount" 2) defines the rectangle of destinatiion, where it will be copied to the bitmap of the control panel and 3) copy (but like I said correct alpha is missing).

  EDIT: I said earlier that my textImage would not initially have the alpha value. Well, I think it was wrong according to what I found in the script he under section image() dictionary "when you create a new object of the image, the default background color is white (color (255,255,255)) and the alpha channel is completely opaque (color (0,0,0))."

The paramList in the copyPixels command was enough to get rid of the white box around the text (using the #ink: 36 which is transparent bckgrnd inside), the problem was that I was using the same white for the foreground and background colors in the text member (already some time, do not use Director and misplaced false white I used to use in these cases in the color picker). Bottom line, use exactly the same values of color for the back and fore color of the text member. I also observed that the use of the alpha of the image (useAlpha = true) makes fine castellated while not not using the alpha product a bad image of the text (btw, the font of the text is a piece of media of course inserted text).
