Just to inform all the. I was able to restore ocr using the 1062983.1 document reference

Summary of the procedure I did

(1) delete the diskgroup using the oracleasm command

(2) created the new diskgroup using command oracleasm /newdrive

(3) scan and listdisks using the oracleasm

(4) crs stop on all nodes crsctl stop crs f

(5) crs boot exclusive crsctl start crs - Excl.

(6) stop ora.crsd process crsctl stop res ora.crsd - init

(7) of the grid owner user start asm sys / ACE sysasm

(8) create diskgroup redundancy CRS external drive 'pathtoasmdisk' attribute ' COMPATIBLE. ASM '=' 11.2';

(9) as a root user is the ocr backup file under $GRID_HOME, cdata, rac-cluster

(10) as rootuser ocrconfig - restore backup00.ocr

(11) as the root user crsctl start res ora.crsd - init

(12) crsctl replace votedisk + CRS

(13) as network user created DSO file /tmp/asm_pfile.ora using the default setting of the alterlog file

(14) connected as sys as sysasm

(15) created spfile = ' + ' pfile='/tmp/asm_pfile.ora CRS;

(16) crsctl stop crs f

(17) asmdisk scan on all nodes

(18) crsctl started crs on all nodes

Hope that help if someone looking for the solution.

    Hello

When you try to add my NFS in VSphere (version 1), I get the following error at the end:

*Error when configuring the host: NFS error: unable to mount filesystem: unable to connect to the NFS server*.

To add the NFS, I did the following:

    2. click on add storage - NFS

    4. click on finish

  • Unable to mount HP2709m monitor on a monitor arm

I spent > 4 hours on the phone with non-existent HP 'technical support', trying to solve a problem with a monitor we just bought. The monitor HP 2709 m 27 "is SUPPOSED to conform to install it on a VESA arm. SUPPOSEDLY, when we remove the rear plastic cover, we should find the square 4 typical holes machine threaded holes, spaced 100 mm, in which the 4 screws are placed to hold a VESA stand. UNFORTUNATELY, this is NOT the case. When you remove the cover, everything you find is a series of niches in which will the tabs on the cover plastic. There is NO mounting hole to fix a support. No matter HOW many times I talk to technical support overseas, I can't understand/accept that the documentation they have as much as me and they continue to refer to is WRONG. All I need is a technician to contact me, so we can determine what equipment IS needed to mount the monitor on an arm, or directly on the wall. Has ANYONE dealt with the 2709 mounting on an arm or on the wall?

for anyone who's problems with this mounting monitor. I don't know if HP has changed the documentation, but at least now, she says that this monitor uses a mount for vesa 100 x 200 mm. This is not the standard mount found on smaller screens, but a wider lying mount to organize the largest monitors.

It is a support for mounting the monitor directly on the wall at the http://www.amazon.com/VideoSecu-Monitor-Panel-200x100-100x100mm/dp/B000ODCSWG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1342534635&sr=8-2&keywords=vesa+200+x+100+wall+mount amazon.adfasdf

  • Unable to mount cdrom in RHEL4 guest vm & question with the vnic modules

    People!

It is an ESX3.0.2 Server and I had weird questions, especially lately with the vm (s) of linux hosts.

    (1) impossible to mount the virtual CD in the vm (s) comments from linux.

    (2) due to the above question, the esx is impossible to get the cdrom of vmware tools on the guest virtual machine and therefore neither I am able to install or update the vmware tools.

    (3) I tried to change the settings of vm (connected cdrom; Connect to the power on) and I tried connecting to the host device cdrom and client device cdrom and none of these works. Tried to restart the guest virtual machine and no avail.

    (4) the existing comments vm linux with vmware tools installed, watch reference to the module pcnet32 the /etc/modprobe.conf with the vnic as e1000. Vmxnet shouldn't replace the vlance/pcnet32 module when vmware tools is installed? I checked the forums and KB Home, looks like this problem has been spotted in 3.0.1 and claims have been fixed in 3.0.2.Which is not true, as I see many people complain about that. The KB gives a solution for mounting the .vmx or linux comments vm (s) /etc/modprobe.conf (or) /etc/modules.conf to point the eth0 on vmxnet module. I'm not exactly sure if it would work and have not yet tried. Need your comments. (KB I mean is http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1001685)

    5)

Any help would be appreciated. Please post your comments on the cdrom and the issue of vmxnet. Thanks a zillion.

If you add a new asmca diskgroup (ASM Configuration Assistant), it mounts diskgroup to all nodes for you.

It also allows running local Assembly and installation on all nodes.

    Hello

As you have followed all the steps (verification of status and health of asm/cluster/diskgroup) correctly... This message should be ignored.

    Why is this happening?
In ASM 11.2 start before CRSD and ASM stop after CRSD when OCR is located on ASM... CRSD (OCR) is dependent on the ASM.
Due the sequence start or stop CRSD always is offline when the DSO try register or cancel the registration of the diskgroup resource. If this warning is logged on alert.log

But don't you worry at the start of the CRSD the diskgroup resource sync by oraagent once clusterware is fully up

Tip: ASM depend on the CSSD (VOTEDISK) must be started. Because this VOTEDISK is placed directly on ASMDISK. This is the case VOTEDISK doesn't depend on ASM.

  • Impossible to mount the drive external HARD under Ubuntu Linux - file system damaged and MFT

I get the following error when I try to mount my external hard drive on my Ubuntu.

    UNABLE TO MOUNT
    Error mounting/dev/sdc1/media/khalibloo/Khalibloo2: command-line ' mount t 'ntfs' o ' uhelper = udisks2, nodev, nosuid, uid is 1000, gid = 1000, ask dm = 0077, fmask = 0177 "" / dev/sdc1 "" / media/khalibloo/Khalibloo2 "' came out with the exit status no lame 13: ntfs_attr_pread_i: ntfs_pread failed: input/output error".

Could not open the FILE_Bitmap inode: input/output error
    Failed to mount ' / dev/sdc1 ': input/output error

NTFS is incompatible, or there is a hardware failure, or it's a SoftRAID(4)/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows, and then restart Windows twice. Using the /f parameter is very important! If the device is a SoftRAID(4)/FakeRAID then frst activate and mount a different device under the/dev/map/directory, (for example/dev/map/nvidia_eahaabcc1). See the documentation for 'dmraid' for more details.

It is not mount on windows either: "i/o device error".

This is a disk with a single partition hard ntfs

Of course, I tried chkdsk /f. reported several file segments as unreadable, he didn't say if he fixed them or not (apparently not). also tried with the indicator/b.

    ntfsfix reported as corrupted volume.

TestDisk was able to correct a small error with the partition table by adding the '80' for the active partition indicator (only). TestDisk also confirmed that the boot sector was very good and it corresponded to the backup. However, when you try to repair the MFT, he could not read the MFT. He could not also the list of files on the hard drive. It says file system may be damaged.

Active @ also shows that the MFT is missing or damaged.

I tried to replace the USB cable. Has not changed anything. I tried to update the driver. Windows reported that he was already up to date. Yes, the pilot has been activated.

So, how can I fix the file system? or MFT? or the I/o device error?
I used the HARD drive for months. This problem started 2 days ago. I also tried to mount it on other computers, without success.

    Hello

I'm sorry to read about problems with your drive.
Unfortunately, I think that the question is misplaced a bit as your case appears to be the health of your rather external HARD drive that a specific problem related to Linux.

To add clips, if the tools you use have failed to fix your drive, then I do not think that a user 'normal' forum will no longer.
I know it's a fine recommendation and probably just add salt in your wounds: If you really care for files, do a sector backup before doing any file system / partition own modifications.
The reason is very simple - if the tool you use has made a mistake when judging what actions are the right ones, and submit these changes, you move your goal - and fast!
Instead of repairing, the tool can simply corrupt data even further.
Any subsequent change aggravates the disorder exponentially.

Judging by the details in your message, I'm sorry to say that I think your drive is defective, or at least the data is lost.
Of course some companies will probably be able to restore it, but that normally costs a fortune.

Unless you are willing to spend astronomical amounts of money on data rescue, so I suggest to accept data loss and look at what you can do with the HARD drive.
Try to format. No problem, this indicates the drive is defective and must be replaced.

    Sorry for so little help.

What vddk version do you use?

I had similar problems with one of the later - if this is the latest version - using a previous one fixed all problems

  • ORA-01102: cannot mount database in EXCLUSIVE mode

    Hi I work on Windows 2007, 64-bit, with oracle 11g: 11.1.0.6.0

Today, I created a tablespace of cancellation more as undotbs2, and then I went to undotbs2 database.

Then, I gave the order to drop the undotdb1. He has successfully completed. but undo datafile has not been eliminated. So I tried to manually delete the data file it didn't ' success.

So I stop the database & then deleted file manually

. After giving the start command, I was getting this error

Well, your trace file indicates that the above description is innaccurate: you did NOT create an undo tablespace undotbs2, you have created a undotbs2 permanent tablespace.

You may be able to repair this situation, like this:

    startup nomount

    ALTER system set undo_management = manual scope = spfile;

    immediate stop

    startup

    create undo tablespace undo3 datafile ' / whatever/you.like ' size XXg;

ALTER system set undo_tablespace is undo3 scope = spfile;.

ALTER system set undo_management = auto scope is spfile;.

    immediate stop

    startup

  • error in editing esxi3.5 vmdk using vmware - mount.exe

    VMware - mount.exe (5.5.0 / 18463) is installed on a physical box all new xp sp3.

VMDK files were copied on the ESXi data store using putty pscp. Name.vmdk reviews and comments name - flat hard are present.

    VMware - mount.exe j: "\Guest name - flat hard" fails

If I rename the files to remove the spaces and edit the primary vmdk file to point to the new - name of flat file, editing does not always work.

The error on the command line (not a message box) in all cases is:

"Unable to mount the virtual drive. The disk can be used by a virtual

machine or mounted under a different drive letter. If not, check that the

Is a virtual disk file, disk and that the disk file has not been damaged.

I checked the user guide and any of the limitations apply except maybe one:

-vm not running (and did not work when they are copied), ok

    -host windows, windows comments, ok

-not in read-only or compressed, ok

-j: mapping is superior to d: and don't use it, ok

    -vmdk is ntfs, ok

    -No snapshots involved, ok

as far as the error message itself goes:

-vm not running (and did not work when they are copied), ok

    -do not already mounted, ok

    -certainly a vmdk file, ok

-do not corrupt (can restart the VM), ok

I suppose there is the possibility that vmdk FFL was damaged in the copy; is there a way to check it (md5 in ESXi maybe)?

What is the only element not specified in the user (from 2008) guide - vmware-mount support ESXi 3.5 vmdk files? ESX 3.x is taken in charge, but ESXi?

If not what else can I check?

    Thank you

do not use this Centenary vmware-mount - use the last VDDK virtual disk development kit =.

Also rename files to remove the spaces is prohibited: use quotes.

Not mount the - flat.vmdk - that is not the right one
