  I would like to first confirm that you have a CD rom that is able to write data to a compact disc.  If you have confirmed that you do, I suggest go to Dell to confirm the drivers are updated.  In addition, you are able to listen to a cd of music on your computer?   Please let us know status.

• Unable to record a voice-over...

  I am trying to record a voiceover and seem to have a harder than expected time... I have done in the past on the same machine but seem unable to repeat.

  In any case, here's how it goes: PP 5.5 on an iMac 2011. My external lapel MIC is dead, so I want to use the internal mic. The internal microphone seems to work fine (preferences Finder shows the levels of sound recording go to the region of max).

  When I try to select audio in PP (Preferences > > Audio hardware), I'm stuck with 'System default input/output', even when I choose ' mic/built-in output integrated. " I choose ' input/built-in exit integrated', but this isn't what I was looking for (I think).

  Anyway, back to the Audio Mixer, I select my audio track for the record and that you have a choice of material: "built-in input: line 1/built-in output: line 2.

  Of course (?) when I try to record anything with these settings, the recorded track is empty.

  What gives?

  I finally got (using the built-in mic, which is obviously not the best solution).

  For those interested, here's how it goes.

  I bought Toshiba Satellite P70-A-104, model PSPLPE-006008FR. In this computer, there is a soundcard: HD SmartAudio Conexant, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_14F1 & DEV_5113 & SUBSYS_1179FA71 & REV_1001.

  I have used audacity, but I can't record any sound because the audio mix function is not available on this map. I right click on "speaker" then right click on the sound of Windows to select 'View devices turn off' but nothing appears.

  This free audio editor and recorder are unknown to me, but I would like to know if you can use Windows sound recorder and use the internal microphone for recording. With other words to see if registration option works in general.

  I followed the advice of Toshiba and my warranty extended and registered the day I got my laptop. Due to a hardware failure within the first 2 days, my laptop was returned for a replacement again. I saved the new laptop but can't save the extended warranty because it is always linked to the previous mobile phone number.

  Toshiba support sent several emails, I am either ignored or asks me to sign up for my new laptop (which I already have). Then how get into the mentality of the Toshiba Corporation and then ask to complete a very simple procedure to transfer my extended warranty on the new laptop?

  Your old notebook must be removed from the database of Toshiba.
  Try to contact Toshiba reuse this mail. Maybe they need several days for a response.

  To be honest, this is strange. Many people have two or more laptops from Toshiba and must be able to register extension notebook or guarantee for each of them. for this reason I can't imagine that you are not able to register the second book and extended warranty for it.

  You can check the settings of your browser, IE 7, which would be under:

  Tools -> Internet Options -> connections -> LAN settings -> select use a proxy server for your LAN , then set it to the proxy localhost port 7777

• How to capture (record) streaming video online with his partner is on El Capitan?

  Someone can advise or recommend including many different programs available that I must use to capture (record) streaming video online with it's associated audio on El Capitan?  I tried MacX DVD Converter Pro, but believe it or not, it does not record the audio aspect of video stream.  They claim there is a work around, but after 3 days of trying various corrections, none seems to work for me.

  I tried the Safe Mode Terminal command string: turn off the csrutil. restart, but which did not allow audio capture of MacX DVD Converter Pro driver to install their Audio System driver.

  I tried sudo nvram boot-args = "kext-dev = 1 mode" method, but then again, playback of the recorded video was silent, even though I have heard the audio during recording. "

  I downloaded SOUNDFLOWER, but again, I have heard audio when the screenshot, but Quicktime playback was silent.

  I have hard to believe after that 3 days I am still unable to record what I see and hear at the same time on my screen a video streaming like a Charlie Rose interview with Martin Scorcese discussing Felini.  I don't like what it costs; I care only about the easy, professional and perfect results.  One of the two reasons why I BOUGHT this iMac 27 "with El Capitan was so I COULD record streaming video with audio if I choose so, and after a month, I still can't do and I ran out of the online help after searching dozens of sites to find answers!  So I now turn to the Apple community.  Thank you!

• Is it possible to record an animation in real-time in Flash?

  My first simple project with animation (via Flash if possible) will be animated in writing.

  The Situation

  I have a text on a background image. I want scribble on one of the words with a digital pen and write another word beside her, exactly as you would when you come across a suspect word what evidence of reading. You will draw the digital pen on a Cintiq 22HD. This is my first use of Flash, so I don't want to spend hours learning how to animate the writing. Just a simple "Record" at this stage.

  Question 1

  In Flash, can I import an image as background, prepare my pen and somehow save my movements of stylus in real time? IE is there a button Save somewhere in Flash? I don't want to save background as well, just the writing part. When I'm done writing I press Stop.

  I hope you end up with is a real-time animation of exactly what I have done with the pen. I can then take the animation and the place elsewhere if necessary.

  Question 2

  If Flash is unable to record, what other software could have this capability?

  I am a new user of hearing and just set up my microphone. I run my microphone in a blender and my microphone port on my computer. I'm hearing gpood sound from my microphone in my speakers, but for some reaseon hearing does not seem to pick up any signal level at all. I have configured my windows volume control there more high potential input setting. Always, however, I am unable to record a sound. As the microphone works with my computer, I suspect a software problem any. Please help I played with this for days now...

  First of all, check the control panel / sound devices and make sure that the input you are using is activated and the box checked as "Use preferred device only."

  Then in the hearing itself, open the Audio hardware configuration, find your entry (on the computer) and make sure that it is enabled and selected as the device to use for recording.

  If you're still having problems, consider updating the driver for the internal audio device from the computer, or get real sound device that has its own pilots ASIO.  (the sound circuit on most computers is quite poor compared to devices sound outboard).

  Am using Captivate 4, XP Pro (64) and I am unable to record any audio whether running. I downloaded the latest patch and it has not solved the problem. Someone told me there is a difficulty here somewhere referring to re - register a dll, but it is impossible to find the article.  Any help is appreciated.

  You can follow these steps-

  Close Adobe Captivate, and then do the following-

  1. Identify the location of cmd.exe. Usually found in C:\Windows\System32\
  2. Click right-click on cmd.exe > select run as administrator (this step is only for Vista)
  3. Launches the command prompt
  4. Now, go to the Adobe Captivate 4 installation location. In your case, this is C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 4
  5. Now, run the command regsvr32 NSAudio.dll
  6. Message about successful registration should appear.
  Now try to save the audio in Captivate 4.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

• Windows XP Movie Maker 5.1... can not finalize my project and make a movie.

  I have Windows XP and I use Windows Movie Maker 5.1 Service Pack 3.  I can't record my movie.  He plays beautifully when I'm in the program, but I'm unable to record on my computer, a CD, etc.  All my files are on my desk and have not been moved or changed, but the message I get is that my film was saved without success.  I really need help with this if anyone has a suggestion.  I tried just about everything I can think of.

  (1) your project is too big or too complex for your system

  Solution... Create small projects.

  import into Movie Maker.

  Several formats are apparently compatible with Movie Maker
  but the most reliable choices are:

  Video - wmv
  Audio - wma, wav

  There are many converters available on the net... some
  free... some detail.

  The following freeware converter is just one example:

  (FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
