    We send an email through dbms_email and usually it works fine.  But recently, we had problems with the mail to external domains to us.  Our admins have set the smtp server to relay emails to the outside, but we are still receiving the error.

    We're running out RDBMS oracle 11.2.0.3 on RHEL5.7 with JAVA 1.6.0.32

    The plsql:

    Start

    dbms_email. Send (sender = > 'my@email', )

    recipient = > "external@email_domain"

    BCC = > null,

    subject = > 'Test ',.

    body = > 'Test ',.

    attachments = > null)

    end;

    /

    The sys.emailm table $ contains the following error message:

    Any ideas?

    It has been determined that when demand went through a load balancer IP address was changed for some reason any to what appears to be the gateway address.  The network guys are trying to understand... but so far no luck.

    I will mark it as answered because it has nothing to do with the Oracle...

    Intrusion via CFMAIL is simply a wrapper for the underlying methods of mail Java API, so it shouldn't be any problem with him.

    Looks like that the SMTP server is not registered to send mails. So here's the problem with the SMTP server events, and not with the intrusion via CFMAIL

  • Error sending notification to "Everyone in Lab Manager"

    I am running Lab Manager 3.0.2.56.

    I find that if I try to send an e-mail notification to "Everyone in Lab Manager" (or "Admins in Lab Manager") I get the following error (see attachment) and no one with a beginning after "n" e-mail address will receive an email.

    Failed to send email. Verify the SMTP settings and try again.
    Failed to send email: The server rejected one or more recipient addresses. The server response was: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for nobody@nowhere

    None of my users have this configured for them nobody@nowhere e-mail address.  I then took a glance at the back-end database and see that there is a "system user" with this e-mail address (see attachment).

    I can't find anywhere in the web interface of Lab Manager to change the e-mail address of the user of this 'system '.  Don't you think it would be prudent clear this user's e-mail field by modifying the database?  I guess I could also replace nobody@nowhere with my own e-mail address, but this isn't a long-term solution (if ever, I left the company, then this problem pop up would be once again).

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

    Try just clearing the email of the user of the system, this should solve the problem for you.

    Thank you

  • Exception Exception message and Internet in Java mail API address

    Hello

    Using JAVA mail api using the sendmessage method I make exception for invalid address... Address and address are the same as my email id... Someone please tell why these exceptions come.

    Thank you...

    To prevent spammers using the transfer agent mail of your system as a channel for spam most MTA are configured to send the message either from a local address recognized a remote address, or remotely at the local level. "Unable to relay" means that your MTA does not recognize the machine that is trying to send the e-mail message as "local".

    You will probably have to make changes to the configuration of the MTA (Sendmail or other) that runs on the computer that you have designated as a mail host.

  • Validate email address (check SMTP)

    Hello

    When a member joins our website, an email is sent confirming the registration. Few of them are non-existent email addresses.
    I would like to know if there is a way to validate an email address in coldfusion (check SMTP) without sending an email to the recipient so that we have legitimate email. This procedure is necessary to prevent our being on the list of spam IP. We have control of the string using regular expressions.

    Help much appreciated

    Thank you

    Mottakutty

    Oh hang on, hang on I got to use it:

    "I think you misunderstand, Adam" - Note the use of the comma

    OP - you say you want to do a check of SMTP (this means to connect to the mail server and verify that the account exists) but then talk about regular expressions to validate the string passed to you according to the RFC? It's two things.

    First to have as Adam said, you can validate the e-mail address using CFINPUT and once again on the server side using the isValid(). By the way, isValid ("email") is actually full of bugs, if you read the email address RFC, which unfortunately, I had only once.

    However if you really want to test whether or not address exists on the mail server, there is no way to do this using CF. you could (if you were clever enough to Java) write yourself some classes which collect MX records for a domain, and then telnet to it. Basis conversation SMTP would you:

    220 remoteserver.something.com Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service

    HELO yourdomain.com

    250 remoteserver.something.com Hello

    MAIL FROM:[email protected]

    250 2.1.0 [email protected]... Sender OK

    RCPT TO:[email protected]

    550 5.7.1 unable to relay for [email protected]

    Unless you get a 250 in response to your RCPT TO command, it is an invalid account.

    However.

    There really no need to go that far in order to validate the account. Much easier is to send an e-mail of confirmation with a link that you must click to verify their account.

    Sending e-mail to a non-existent address is * not * take you spam blocklists. The only thing that you is if you send email to one honeytrap put people like Messagelabs email accounts up. Nobody knows specifically what these are (because that would go against the point), but they are only ever affected if you just choose a domain name and to mass-mail each e-mail address prefix you can think of the hope of the sticks. Nobody will come to your website and enter one of these e-mail addresses.

    I suspect that you already do enough to make sure you aren't on blacklists. Usually you only end up one if your mail server sends spam, things are a lot smarter these days.

    However, I checked the reference Oracle UTL_MAIL to:

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B12037_01/AppDev.101/b10802/u_mail.htm#996885

    When it comes to 'beneficiaries' parameter, it reads:

    The email addresses of the recipients, separated by commas.

    As you can see in my source code, I used the comma to separate the two addresses. So what's the problem?

    UTL_MAIL configuration was made. In fact, I can use UTL_MAIL to send emails to any single email address.

    Thank you!

    ORA-29279: permanent SMTP error: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay

    This error means that you specify an e-mail address that the server refuses to accept because it would relay (direct) e-mail message in this area.

    This is a spam of countermeasure. Open relay means that the SMTP server accepts the mail any domain name. Which means that it can be used to send millions of emails to hundreds of thousands of areas... and fortunately this SMTP server will accept mail and deliver it to all these areas. (see http://www.eudora.com/techsupport/kb/1593hq.html for a complete description).

    Today, an open SMTP relay put you on list Black/blackholed - which means that no area (subscribe to these lists) would accept our mail to the domain of your SMTP server.

    Have a chat to your mail administrator. Your code / data violates some or other relay rule.

  • Email address fails the test of grid control

    I get the following message appears when I test an email address in the grid control:

    * [email protected] the Test failed with the message: "e-mail address is not valid: sending failed; nested exception is: javax.mail.SendFailedException: invalid addresses; nested exception is: javax.mail.SendFailedException: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for the [email protected]

    I wish that the grid control to send alerts and messages to my text pager. The address works very well on my Outlook account so I know that it is valid at least to our exchange server. Is there a way to format the address so accepts the order of grid? Or y at - it another way I can get the grid control to send messages to my pager?
    Can anyone give any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Ken

    You must allow your control grid to email relay server. This is a configuration that must be done by your SMTP server or Exchange administrator.
    By default, servers are not allowed to relay e-mail because it could cause spam.

  • Unable to send emails, but cannot receive them (error message said 554 5.7.1 rejected database end user not allowed to relay)

    There are three computers in the opffice, 2 have windows 7 and the other is XP. Both with windows 7 suddenly will not send emails on windows live mail. all three are on the same network. I contacted Norton to see if that was the problem and they came to the conclusion that it wasn't Norton but the ISP or Windows Server problem. It receives very well but when you send a message, it will then an error message appears (554 5.7.1 rejected database end user not allowed to relay).

    There is no new software or hardware installed!

  • USB 6008 switching speed relay? Delay through software?

    Hi guys,.

    I have a Setup with a USB6008 which control some relays. However, I'm unable to get the relay to go fairly quickly. I can see by the USB6008 that the digital output ports have a speed of 150 Hz, which equals 6 m I want to be able to control the relays at intervals of 10 ms. The relays have a rebound time of 10ms. In theory, it should be just possible. However, I am getting some problems in calendar. Relay ports are open for too long, often in the low hundres of milliseconds. This makes me wonder if there is some sort of delay by turning the relay on or off... My VI is essentially a state machine which, in a State turns on the relay and wait an appropriate amount of milliseconds, and then passes to the next State, who deactivates the relay. The relay is set to simple bool, true and false. I'm sorry, but I am unable to share the VI. But also, it's more a theoretical question within the period that is present when talking about USB data acquisition boxes, I guess.

    Where I set up relay tasks, NEITHER Max, I can choose different "modes of generation. "on-demand" and "timed material." How will this affect the speed output digital?

    Thank you in advance,

    Sincerely,

    Peter

    When it comes to software distribution, you won't get a lot of precision.  But it sounds like you are using the next ms Multiple value 50ms somewhere in your state machine.

  • UCCX with SocialMiner and Finesse - no email no relay

    Hello

    I am trying to configure a queue by e-mail with UCCX (10.6.1), Finesse (10.6.1) and Socialminer (10.6.1). Exchange 2010 is used.

    The server Socialminer is in the internal LAN. I configured the configuration SocialMiner, Server email and CSQ in UCCX (in subsystems-> menu chat and e-mail). Things look ok on this side. SMTP and IMAP ports are open in Exchange and in the SocialMiner configuration I can see the e-mail server has a green checkbox next to him.

    I have the Finesse of office changed to display the E-mail.

    On the side of SocialMiner however it looks not so good. Under Configuration-> CCX Email feed the CSQ test has an idle state. The test account I set up is getting emails, but they are not relayed to the Office of Finesse.

    I see the following error in the tomcat logs
    2015-10-07 15:57:41, 197 Kingdom of ERROR [http-8080-6]. Kingdom - logon failed for the administrator; result code = 1; message = bad credential

    I don't know where it is a failure if or if its report with the main question.

    If the administrator login details were incorrect under subsystems-> e-mail and chat-> socialminer configuration then the status with the mail server will be not green?

    Someone has ideas for e-mail will not relay why?

    Thank you

    Edit: I should add that I have downloaded the certificate of tomcat.pem of SocialMiner in UCCX.

    In the SocialMiner countryside campaign Email of CCX has 0 contacts although there are 4 mails in the Inbox (Exchange).

    Under manage Feeds, hovering over the State x red it gives the message "unable to connect to the mail server. Verify that the user name and password are correct. Last successful fetch time was NEVER, success rate is 0% '-j' rechecked if user account. I can not even log in the field with it.

    Hello

    Yes he got to work...

    This was caused by the user name he used in the mail queue.

    He really wants the UPN, not the email address. Since our address e-mail & UPN were not the same, it was a failure.

    Once I put the UPN to match the email address, it worked very well.
