  WIN 7 Home Premium running on a gateway PC connected to the internet via an ethernet connection using a RealTek network adapter for the past 5 years with no problems. Running Avast Pro antivirus / internet security.  09/02/2016, Microsoft and Avast downloaded and installed updates on the PC.  After the PC auto-redémarré as part of the Microsoft updates, I couldn't connect to the internet.  Connect to the network now says unidentified network - no network connection.  The adapter looks like to she always sees the (watch 100 Mbps) connection, but no data packet move.  Device Manager indicates that the unit is working normally.

  I ran through the resolution of the problems of Windows network. I checked the cable was attached, reset the home modem, reset the adapter (toggle), uninstalled/reinstalled using the latest adapter driver available.  I have disabled the Windows Firewall because Firewall Avast wouldn't start.  I disabled all the Avast settings to see if it eliminated the problem.  I tried to run the system restore before the updates but continue to spread the message that there was an unexplained error and restore failed.  All this was done in Normal mode. I restarted mode safe and had the same problems without success.

  I was able to clear the problem by manually uninstalling updates of security Windows which were loaded on 09/02/2016 through the programs and features Control Panel. Then I did the repair of Avast program operation.  I rebooted the computer and the internet connection worked. Then I reinstalled manually updates Windows security on the Windows Update program.

• 3/10/11: Vista update story reported that an update to the Blackberry smartphone failed to install. How can I get this update or at least know why it has not installed?

• Unable to boot after the update

  Nice day. Today I installed an update, but my power is out (are lucky me).

  Now my player starts and takes forever but expires and stops. I started in utility mode to reinstall el Captain but it shows my drive as locked. So I go to utilities to try to unlock the he but no hard drive does not appear (even if they do when I'm trying to reinstall from the web).

  I have a TM backup but it cannot find all the disks, so I can't pick it up to do a restore.

  An option or patches? Boot hd is in a year.

  1. Restart the computer. Immediately after the chime, press Command + Option + R until a globe appears.
  2. The Utility Menu appears in 5 to 20 minutes. Be patient.
  3. When the load utility Menu select install OSX.
  4. Click the continue button.

  I just update the firmware on my R8000, reset a factory and now I am unable to connect to the router with username: admin password: password

  I tried the default factory reset several times and still nothing. My internet works, but that's all, engineering connects, but don't administer the router as it says that the password is incorrect.

  As is strives to update windows today, I wasn't expecting to lock up my computer, but now I am facing blue screen of death at every start. The Startup Repair tool is not help... So for now, the only option I see is to reformat my C drive?

  It was really unexpected, that I was a bit installing optional updates in windows (mainly the drivers I think for the fingerprint reader, graphics...) when my pc crashed. I hope to recover some of the files on my desktop before reformatting.

  So I don't expect too much help here because I can do basically anything that even the startup repair does not work. But I wonder, is there some windows updates that are to be avoided? I'd only like to know this only screwed to the top of my pc. I'm runnign the w520 on windows 7btw.

  Try the following.  Download the operating system of your carrier's Web site and install it on your computer.  You can do this by selecting your operator from the list here: http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

  Once you've done that, see if necessary applications will appear in the desktop software.  If this isn't the case, then there is another method which should work.  Just to be sure, make sure you back up your first device using Desktop software first.

  On your computer, go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader and run the Loader.exe file.  (Note: on computers 32 bit, should no (x 86) in the Program Files folder because the Program Files folder).

  Once you start the Loader.exe file, simply follow the steps until you get to the point where you can select the applications.  Now you should see the option to check the Documents To Go, notebook and any other software that has not been installed.  Once you have all the apps you want enabled, simply press next (note: leave everything that is checked as checked, unless you want to uninstall).  This should now load the applications on your BlackBerry while keeping the rest of your BlackBerry file system.

  Hi, I got an error on my phone uncaught.exception.java.lang.illegalstateException error when I reset my phone by removing the battery.  Please notify.

  If you have added via the Desktop Manager software, it can be used to remove them. Alternatively, you can remove the storm itself:

  In the home screen, select the Options icon, then Advanced Options > Applications

  This will bring up a list of applications installed on the device. You can scroll through and after it highlighted (not clicking), you can press the BB (the button to the right of the green phone button) and one of the options that opens will be remove.

  Be very careful... Remove only the modules...

  If this process does not work, the next thing is the full wipe...

  Options > Security Options > General settings

  By pressing the BB button then give a "Wipe Handheld" option... that will do just that. All data on the device will be lost. All modules will be deleted. The device will be updated with fresh plant in the OS level on which you are.

  If this fails, a reload of the OS would be in order... we will table this one for now and show optimism that one of them will work for you.
