  Error 0x800CCC0D means that the server is not found. Error 11003 socket is usually a DNS error: the name of the specified server does not exist or cannot be translated into an IP address.   I think perhaps the best next step after all your efforts of trying to fix the program.  For this, since it is part of the Windows Essentials pack, you can go to the page Windows Essentials and re - download and re-install the package, which will update and fix the movie maker if necessary.
