Unable to start listener Apex

Hi Udo,

I think I have a similar problem to this {: identifier of the thread = 2257622}
I was trying to map a domain name to an APEX application, but I live to the top--> I tried to solve the problem, but I couldn't--> I've uninstalled it Glassfish.
When I tried to re - install, I got this Msg (launch Java TM 2 Runtime Environment) and then he disappeared, and the installation stopped.

Then I installed the Java EE SDK from

If I go to http://localhost: 8080/apex/listenerConfigure, I get the configuration page, but when I click on Apply, I get the same error:

Hi Fateh,

are you sure of your GlassFish now uses JDK 7 you have installed? Check the server.log of your GlassFish domain to see what JAVA_HOME it actually uses. You should find something like

INFO: JVM invocation command line:
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_26\bin\java.exe

(of course, it'll be a jdk1.7.0_03 or something similar in your case).

If I go to http://localhost: 8080/apex/listenerConfigure , I get the configuration page, but when I click on Apply, I get the same error:
HTTP status 503 - url requested http://localhost: 8080/apex/apex is currently unavailable.

You should see an error in the newspaper of the Auditors of the APEX (or maybe server.log as well). If it is not a question of JDK, it could also be a problem with file permissions or driver JDBC that prevents APEX listener to record (or application) configuration. In the log, you should definitely see where APEX listener retrieves the apex-config. XML in. Make sure it is readable and accessible writeable for the user, or set config.dir to point to a location that is and put apex - config.xml in this directory to Active Directory.
Do you run your GlassFish with Admin rights?

    I followed the step by step installation instructions, I configured the Auditor in accordance with the instructions, once configured I deployed the listener in Tomcat as the manual says, a t access with the browser time (https://cyaprod03:8443 / apex) I get the following error: "this installation has not been configured yet"

    I think the listener APEX for Tomcat, at least, installation instructions are pretty poor.

    What worked for me:

    1. decide where the listener must find the configuration files:

    java-jar ords.war "c:\My STUFF\conf APEX" configdir

    This changes the web.xml file in the ords.war file to get a reference to the expected configuration directory.

    2. perform the standard installation:

    java-jar ords.war of installation

    This creates a few xml configuration files, etc. in a place where he mentions at the start of the installation - it does not change the war itself file.

    3 deploy the ords.war in webapps

    This creates the ADR structure directories above webapps, including our modified web.xml. It also creates a directory structure starting with "ADR" in the location that we have specified for the configuration directory.

    You must now copy the files in step 2 configuration in the configuration directory created by step 3 - you will spot the similarity in the directory structures and Appendix A of the installation guide explains what that is the structure and the files do.

    You should now be able to connect to APEX, the location of the "ADR" on Tomcat.

    I would like to be able to configure the listener apex via the command line.
    Is there an api or method to achieve this?

    Is it possible to take an apex-config. XML as a template and make changes to this environment and place it in the config.dir directory

    Is the method of model above a taken way in charge of the configuration of the apex listener script languages?

    I have a few questions about a stand-alone installation listener Apex:

    1. how to measure the charge on the earpiece of the Apex? There all the tools available?
    2. is there a value any by adding another instance of listener of Apex for the same database? How do I know whether the performance will be improved and if so how can we know when it will be advantageous to add another?
    3. we would like to have a process in place to receive an alert when the listener of the Apex is screw up. Any advice how to and what are the parameters that we should look at?

    A month ago that while we had not, we increased the parameter 10 to 30 MaxLimit and since then disconnects.

    It seems that you really had an overload somewhere. You probably have an application with some queries of long term, maybe some slow because the database has been overloaded. Of course, you can increase the number of connections available at the base so willing to access all users will be able to connect. But generally, they will not have fun as response time will be bad, and what can be even more painful - they can worsen, because their requests will cause the database get overloaded even more.

    The MaxLimit must be chosen according to the number of concurrent users that you want to be able to serve. Usually, this should not be much more than the number of parallel threads that can manage your database. For example, I would not recommend 30 sessions for a database instance that has just a few threads of CPU to process them. Remember: If the database ends more quickly, you will get the session back to your pool for APEX listener, so the next user request will be able to use it.

    Somehow, it depends on your applications and end-user needs. You can take a look at the following numbers in listenerStatus:
    Time in milliseconds (mean and median) database Active applications Connections in the apex of the pool (active and available)
    The first is obvious: APEX auditor measures the time required claims it's in the database until they come back. If two values begin to climb quickly, your database is probably stressed out... Of course, it makes sense to give the listener to APEX go back now and then so it will start a calculation of costs.
    In addition to knowledge of the size of your pool of connections, the number of active requests and active connections in the pool gives you a hint of the current use and if you need more connections than the ones you always available (as appropriate). But again, you should consider the burden of database first to see if your database would be actually able to manage additional sessions, or if the addition of load by allowing more connections would make things worse.

  • Satellite P15-S420: unable to start Windows XP

    I hope that all makes sense... I'm unable to start after the start page of Windows XP. I think I have assumed that the computer turn off when there is no. The battery may have exhausted and when I plugged it back in and tried to start it would not.

    When the Windows start page is in place, it seems that HD works for awhile, but stops and goes no further. I am able to boot in safe mode and have tried to restore with no effect. When I click on Toshiba Manager of power supply in the control panel I get "Policy of NoteBook Load Fail" this could be a problem.

    What do you think???

    In my opinion, this power saver error message occurs because you started the laptop in safe mode. In this case, the OS doesn't use the Toshiba drivers that are required for the use of additional applications.
    You write about the restore procedure. Have you tried to install the laptop with the supplied restore CD? If this isn't the case, then try it.

    I seldome use features wireless to my pc before, but now that I have the wireless router I frequelty use it. Usually, I turn on the wireless switch and turned off to save the battery. I noticed every time I turn on the radio, after a few minutes, that an error message is displayed:

    Access your product download page and reinstall the software for bluetooth under networks:

    then, under network connections in the network and sharing window - see if you have a bluetooth adapter that is listed.  If you do not use bluetooth, you can turn it off or you should be able to set it up properly.

    If fails it then in Control Panel, under administrative tools, Services - locate service BTtray and disable it.

    Whenever I restart it is extremely slow and in my opinion, caused by the following 2 errors that appear in the system as event ID 10000 event log:

    Happened at the start of this command:
    C:\windows\system32\igfxext.exe-integration

    I think they are Intel drivers, but have failed to find a cure for this problem.
    Other than a real slow start it seems no problem.

    So, you understand where the problem is but why didn t you have installed graphic drivers intel one another? I mean, you know where is the problem and you can correct it.

    Otherwise, if a reinstallation does not help, it would be better to completely recover your system to eliminate the problem.

    I recently partitioned the drive where is installed OSX El Capitan. Now, to press the Option key at startup to the top, I can't select my Bootcamp partition to boot.

    Here's the info re: my product:

    • I have OSX installed on a partition 'Macintosh SSD' a 500 GB SSD
    • The files are on a 'Macintosh HD' partition in a 1 TB HARD drive
    • I have Windows Bootcamp installed on a "SOLID" NTFS partition in the same 500GB SSD
    • and another NTFS partition for Windows files "LIQUID" in the same 1 TB HARD drive
    • I also have a new partition (which lead to my problem) "ScratchDisk' in the same 500GB SSD

    Also very "SOLID" and "LIQUID" NTFS partitions are currently read-only that is ' owners: disabled "in disk utility after creating a new partition"ScratchDisk"for Photoshop in the same 500GB SSD and SOLID will not show up to start up after pressing the button 'Option '.

    I already had Tuxera NTFS installed but uninstalled.

  • Error BTTray: Unable to start Bluetooth Stack Service

    I have an Envy 17 3D (product number: LV045UA #ABA). Recently, shortly after startup, I get an error to the effect that there is a BTTray error as it is unable to start bluetooth stack service.

    I use a Bluetooth Logitech mouse and the mouse continues to work. Befire I started having error, periodically that the mouse could be suddenly disconnected and I must initiate a discovery of the mouse with the Bluetooth discovery mechanism.

    Usually after the rediscovery of the mouse, I would have no other episodes for several days with a new day evey bootup. The error is only a recent development, but the episodes of disconnecting long enough.

    I'm not even sure that the two are linked, and I watch inconsequential number BTTray. However, I want to solve this problem of BTTray error until something of consequence occurs.

    Your hard drive may have failed and must be replaced. Enter the BIOS by typing/holding the F10 key immediately after switching on the laptop. Use Diagnostics to test your hard drive.

    You get this error if the drivers are not updated, or if the driver has been corrupted. I suggest measures are:

    Method 1: Bluetooth device driver update. Steps to update the device driver:

    a. click on start
    b. Select Control Panel
    c. Select system and maintenance
    d. click Device Manager (if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.)
    e. in the Device Manager, look for the Blue tooth device
    f. click on the driver tab and then select Player update
