  Follow these steps and check:

  To take ownership of a folder

  a. click on the USB key you want to learnand then click on Properties.

  b. click on the Security tab, click Advanced and then click on the tab owner.

  c. click on change. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  d. click on the name of the person you want to give to the property.

  e. If you want that person to be the owner of the files and subfolders in this folder, select the owner of subcontainers and objects replace check.

  Two years ago, I bought a laptop with Windows 7 installed on it. Later, I bought a license of windows 8 and had the dvd in return. Now, I want to buy another laptop and transfer that license to the new laptop. There is however a problem, my old laptop died. I can't turn it on at all in order for me to follow the steps to make the transfer of license. Which option I need to find my license so that I can use it on another laptop? Am currently based in Kenya, but the computer laptop and windows 8 were purchased in the United States. What are my options now?

  As long as its is no longer in use on the old machine, which it is not since you say the machine is crumbling, then phone activation will solve the problem when you upgrade the other machine:

  1. press the Windows key + X , and then clickrun, and then type: slui.exe 4

  
  

  2. then press the ENTER"" key.

  3. Select your "country" in the list.

  4. choose the option "activate phone".

  5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

  6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  As a guess your Seagate is formatted in NTFS. You need to check the site of Seagate to a NTFS driver compatible to El Capitan.

  Your data directory will usually be c > program files > palm > [user folder, usually an abbreviated version of your hotsyncid]

  Are they missing conduits for third-party applications?  If so you will need to track down and reinstall them... most applications that have a duct must run a desktop installation routine to install the duct.

  Dell says it is not allowed, as the license for one PC (my old PC). Understood that MS won't get my XP system on two PC under a single license, move the material of the new system is another question. Dell is blowing smoke in this case?

  If your Windows XP is an OEM license, it cannot be transferred to another computer.  Only "retail" licenses are transferable. Carey Frisch

  Here is an article on how to add a shortcut to the click right order send to: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/customize-the-windows-vista-send-to-menu/.  In your case, you must add a link to drive F, and then he would be there for your use (as long as you continue to call the peripheral drive F).  You can also add one for a folder or two in drive F (or just about anywhere else) if that is your wish.
