When I click directly on some PDFs that have been saved in My Documents, I get an error message: "before you proceed you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the end user license agreement."  Yet I can open these files in Adobe Acrobat, they open easily.  This only occurred with the two credit card companies registered PDF files; My PDFs of Bank and other PDF documents can be opened without first opening Adobe Acrobat.  Is there some security block, I need to cancel or?  (I am the administrator of these files.)  I did a reinstall and repair, but this did not help.  (I use Adobe Reader 10.1.0 on Windows 7)

    Hello

You can try and turn the Mode protected in Adobe Reader 10.1.0. That should solve the problem.

You can do the same in:

1 launch the player and go in Edition > Preferences.

    2. in the General category, check the corresponding chekbox to "Activate the Safe_mode at startup"

    3. click Ok and close the player. This should allow to open a PDF file with no problems.

I'm unable to anchor the navigation 'pages' or 'bookmarks' Panel in acrobat v9.5.1.  The 'signatures' navigation pane is docked but not the other two panels.  I tried to repair Acrobat, re-boot of my 64-bit Windows 7 system and the problem persists.  It worked very well upward until April 2012.

Try view > Navigation panels > reset panels

    Hello

If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.

    There is nothing to worry.

Using both programs at the same time can cause system conflicts, etc.

If you are using one of the above AntiVirus programs, this Information from David O - Support Engineer shows you how to manually enable Windows Defender (disregard information from uninstalling; not possible in Vista):

  • How to display the Favorites and the Page Panel in Adobe DC?

In previous versions of Adobe, it was possible to view the Panel page and bookmarks Panel when the document is opened. Is this possible in format Adobe Acrobat, DC?

You cannot display two panels at the same time, if that's what you mean. And I don't think you could in previous versions, either.

  • How do you carry on the bookmarks created in Adobe Pro XI for Adobe Reader?

Simple? -J' need to provide a navigation based on the Table of contents of a 400 page document.  In Adobe Pro (any version), the bookmarks are created and easily read.  How we carry on bookmarks in Adobe Reader for our customers?

In Acrobat, click file > properties > initial view > layout and navigation > Navigation tab and the value "Panel bookmarks and page".

  • bookmarks and attachments disappear when opened with Adobe Reader 11.0.13

I have a PDF file contains a few bookmarks and an attachment, it can be opened without any problem until the recent update of Adobe Reader (11.0.13), all attachment and bookmarks do not appear when it is opened with the latest Adobe Reader.)

(this PDF file with 2 trailers, don't know if that's the reason)

Is this a player new bug?

The problem is that PDF files are not quite accurate because their flow Xref says it has N inputs but ends up containing N + 1, so new versions of reader that contain additional validations (for the strengthening of safety) are unable to process this object. For example, in the PDF @yr shared, if we made the changes:

    34/Size

    2952/Size

    TO:

    35/Size

    2953/Size

(in the two components of the xref)

then the problem disappears, and the reader is able to open the file very well! See: https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/c34d7af8-3627-4209-9a79-4860279207f9

This seems to be a bug in the producer that generates these PDF files.

  • PDF with bookmarks view open in default, Adobe Reader

Have a basic question on Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Reader

I created a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Pro and I can see the bookmarks view when I open on my computer.  When I have a user who has Adobe Reader installed, they do not see the default bookmarks discovers when they open the *.pdf.

    How to achieve this?

    Thank you-

    Todd

You can set the initial view of how a PDF file opens in Acrobat Standard or Pro. (no player). To do this open the PDF and select file > properties > initial view tab and in the menu drop down tab navigation select Bookmarks panel and Page, and then save the PDF file.

I'll move this discussion on Acrobat forums since your question relates to this product.

  • Command + A opens help in the Bookmarks panel?

How is it that, if I open the Bookmarks panel and the Panel is empty (no), and I hit command-a on my keyboard, the help of Adobe program opens?

I'm writing an applescript script in which all existing bookmarks are deleted a lot of PDF files. If I open a PDF file containing bookmarks, open the Bookmarks panel and press command +, it highlights all the bookmarks for quick and easy removal. But if there is no bookmarks, assistance program opens and screw to the top of my script.

I know that I can delete the bookmarks in other ways, but I'm writing an all-in-one program for my company to do a series of tasks that can be done easily using Acrobat batch characteristic or javascript. This strange 'functionality' is really hamper my ability to do so in a logical manner.

A command is identical to the F1 key, which is the shortcut for help, so I don't think that there is a way around the shortcut. Another idea would be to add an empty bookmark 1 (when you open the control panel) and then do a select. This assistance will not launch.
