  • I can't open my administrator account.

I'm having a big problem, because I can not open my account of the administrator account.  When I put my password it say, the profile service could not connect

    Hi Aliciacasigary,
If there is an other administrator account you can log in, then go to step 7 after logging into that account.
However, if you are unable to all accounts at all, then start at step 1.
    1. reboot your computer and press F8 multiple times until you see a menu similar screen, if you see the Windows startup screen, then repeat this step
    2. highlight and press enter on Mode safe mode with command prompt. Try to connect to it. If it still does not work, proceed to step17
    3. If you are able to connect, once the command prompt appears, type: net user administrator Word ofpast / active: Yes (you can specify the password for the administrator account.)
    4. If you get a message "the command completed successfully" and then restart your computer by typing: shutdown - r
    5. start again by pressing F8, but this time choose just the SafeMode.
    6. you will be able to log in as administrator with the password set in step 3
    7 hit (windows logo) + r.
    8. type regedit
    9. once the Registry Editor opens, search for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
    10. in the left pane, find the one that begins with S-1-5... and ends with. BAK; If you can't find one, go to step 15
11 right-click and click Rename, and then change it. TO BAK. BK
12 right-click with the same numbering but without the. BAK and Add. BAK add at the end
    13. right click on the one that you have renamed in BK and clickRename, remove the. BK
    14. Subsequently, you have activated the. BAK to the end of the second entry in the first. That should probably fix your problem.
    15. If you do not find one. BAK then try this: open Explorer Windows for C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Application data
    16. If you find an other Application Data below the one you are on, and then delete. Who should probably also solve your problem.
    17. If you can not log in Mode safe mode, restart and press F8 until you see the menu again, and then press enter highlightingRepair your computer
18 wait for all the Windows files to finish loading, then hitNext when it asks for the language of the keyboard.
    19. try to connect here also, choose your username in the menu drop-down, type the password, then go to step 23
    20. If it still doesn't work, then if you still have your Windows installation CD, put it in, and then restart your computer.
    21. press F12 until you see a menu of boot options, choose boot from CD
    22. the language of the keyboard and then click Next. Find repair your computer for a little below the center-left.
    23. choose Open command prompt and type: net user administrator / Active: Yes password (here again you can specify a password)
    24. close the command prompt and click on restart and go to step 5
To disable the administrator account, type the following in a command prompt: net user administrator / active: No.
If nothing is done here, so I'm helpless on how to fix this next.
    Hope that has contributed so
    Kind regards

  • Whenever I try to log on to the administrator account, it will start to connect, but immediately disconnected return.

Original title: why my account automatically disconnect?

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.

Whenever I try to log on to the administrator account, it will start to connect but then before he's even changed screens, immediately disconnect back.
I can connect to it using safe and I ran Anti-malware, Microsoft Security Essentials and Advanced System Care and they have all come without any problem.
Now, I guess I'm using an account with administrative privileges but different. I just need to open Windows Media Center, but every time I try, it says: I'm on the guest account. My machine won't let me create a new account, delete other accounts, or even to change the passwords. In addition, a random ASP.NET account appears and I can't remove it.
I don't understand what I could do wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jorgomli,

    1. you receive messages or error codes when you try to connect?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    Step 1:

Because you can connect to the account administrator in safe mode, you can try to create a new safe mode administrator account and check.

    Check out the link:

    Create a user account

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/create-a-user-account

    Step 2:

If still face problems, then you can try setting the default Administrator account and check if you can solve the problem.

    a. click the Start button

    (b) in the Start Menu, click all programs followed accessories

    c. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

    d. in the drop-down menu that appears, click on the "Run as Administrator" option

    e. If you have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, you will be asked for permission before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    f. in the command prompt window, type the command net user administrator / Active: Yes and press ENTER.

    g. close the elevated command prompt.

    h. log (in the Start Menu) and you will see your new administrator integrated next to your current account.

    i. click the photo icon display built-in Administrator account and connect to it.

If the problem is resolved, then you can create a new administrator account and check.

You can try to create a new administrator account by following the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

You can also try disabling the default Administrator account using the command

NET user administrator / active: No.

I have followed closely the instructions in this forum to change a user to an administrator account account. When the dialog box that allows the selection of a standard account or administrator account opens and I select the administrator account, the "change account Type" gray button and I can't make the selection. Any help would be appreciated.

Your account is already at the level of the admin (see marked area below). You may not promote any more away.

  • Cannot change the settings on the computer. No access to the administrator account

Original title: I can't access permissions to change settings or programs.

I can not access permissions to change any settings or programs and do not have access to an administrator account, I tried what allows one but you must have admin permission to do so. Please point me in the right direction, it seems that Ive tried everything. ID realyy don't want to spend money on software

    Hi Christophe,

-With which user account you have connected? It is a standard user account?

-What happens when you try to change the settings? You receive an error? In the affirmative, please let us know the exact error message.

Since you are not able to create an administrator account, I suggest you to enable the built-in Administrator account.

    1. you must start the computer by using the Windows 7 installation media.

Follow the steps in http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/what-are-system-recovery-options#what-are-system-recovery-options=windows-7 to enter the recovery options in Windows 7.

Note: See the manual of the computer to change the Boot order in the BIOS and set the CD/DVD as first boot device.

    2. Once you start the computer by using the Windows 7 installation disc, follow the instructions on the screen then go food Advanced Options and select command prompt.

In the command prompt, type net user administrator / Active: Yes

After the command finishes, restart the computer and then log on to the administrator account by default, change the account type of the old user account and make as administrator and check if you are able to change the settings.

Follow the steps in the http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows7/change-a-users-account-type to change the account type of the user account.

Once you have set the administrator type account with your user account, disable the default user account by following these steps.

    1. login to your user account.

    2. open the command prompt, type cmd. exe in the run search and right click on cmd.exe and select Run as Administrator.

    3. type net user administrator / active: No.

This will disable the built-in Administrator account.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • I have a problem with the administrator account.

Original title: administrator account is down: no-show to secure boot, will not take password (no defined) to allow facilities. What now?

I am the only user on my PC Windows 7 Home Premium and have been using it until as recently as an administrator. After learning that it was better to use a standard-privileges account yesterday, I went to the user accounts and brought a few changes, which I am not convinced that I remember exactly, but which provided for the creation of a new account administrator called "Administrator", giving this account a profile picture and changing my personal account with standard privileges. I may have set the password of the new account to be the same as the former, or may not have specified a password, but I know that I didn't not create a new password. Anyway, now I can't do anything that requires administrator privileges.  When the window opens to allow an action preferred by logging in as 'Administrator', or my old password or all simply hit the "Enter" button works. I know that this is the administrator account, I created, because there the thumbnail profile photo that I assigned to him. A used computer scientist Ophcrack successfully, which correctly specified the password of my account now-standard and said that the password of the administrator account was nothing. The newspaper in the boot prompt, administrator does not appear as an option in profile, and it does not appear in the start Mode menu safe either.  The situation is desperate now? What can I do? Thanks for any help!

When changes to an administrator account, then the safe way goes like this:

    1. Create, test, and document an admin account to spare, even you have a spare House key.
    2. Change your normal administrator account according to your needs.
If you don't take these precautions, then you can do this:
    1. Use your repair Windows CD to start the machine in Repair Mode.
    2. Use system restore to set Windows to a point before you did what you did.
