Windows Fresh 8 upgrade from fresh Windows 7

    Hello

I've been using Boot Camp for several months, running Windows 7 on my Mac. I need extend partition, so I decided to uninstall the Windows 7 partition (using Boot Camp on a Mac), then reinstall Windows 7 on a freshly prepared partition. Who had finished I immediately upgraded to Windows 8.

I installed the Boot Camp of support software, and as far as I can tell all my drivers are up to date.

However, every time I restart or shut down the computer, I get a BSOD with Kernel_security_check_failure. I tried to study it using WinDbg, but all this can point to what is NTKRNLMP.exe which shows that it is caused by something else, and it is not clear what.

I tried to go through this process twice, so I'm on my second fresh install in Windows 8 now.

There is no other problems at all on Mac or Windows, it is not never failed except when it restarts.

I ran a memtest with no problems found.

I have about this problem over the past months, I have been using Windows 7

The only time I saw it crash not was when it was connected to an external monitor which leads me to believe it's a problem with the display driver. I tried all the drivers from the Boot Camp, Windows update software and update the Intel utility display and none of them solve the problem.

Any help or this point troubleshooting tips would be MUCH appreciated and I would be interested to hear if someone has the same problems.

    Thank you!

Can you zip the minidump in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder files and (provide link) available via Windows Live SkyDrive or similar site?

The following link has information about the use of Windows Live SkyDrive:

    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02dB-4665-993a-08d865088d65

If you have problems to compress the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the desktop

In addition, you do not necessarily have compress the minidump files, you can download one at a time.

  • Unable to restart or shut down Windows when a USB modem is connected to the computer

When I plug a USB modem, either 3 G or dial-up, my computer will restart or shut down. It complements the normal stop the procedure, but instead of actually put back in power, the screen becomes black and stay like that. After a manual stop, Windows reports that he is recovered from a serious error. I have had this problem since I first installed Windows Vista about half a year ago. When there are no modems connected to the computer, it restarts and stops normally. In addition, printers and USB flash drives appear not to cause to happen.

No idea how I could solve this problem? Thank you.

Works fine now. Another bug of Microsoft.

  • Satellite P850 / 02C "Shut down" causes the reset and commissioning in an abnormal state

My laptop P850/02c meets Shut down by resetting and return upward in an abnormal state.
Abnormal state is that wifi is connecting is no longer an error message comes up - which I assume never happens to Microsoft.

The machine is running 64-bit Windows 8 with the latest Windows updates and is two weeks with this problem that may occur on the first day.

After advice from the dealer, I now tried shift while selecting Shut down - it works, the laptop shuts down as it should.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem so that the laptop responds correctly to Shut down?

    See you soon

    > After advice from the dealer, I now tried shift while selecting Shut down - it works, the laptop shuts down as it should.

This procedure completely stops the laptop

The point is that Win 8 past in hybrid mode, choose the option stop in the charm bar
To completely turn off, you must press SHIFT + X and have to choose Shut Down.

    Here are more details:

  • When the Active Server is shut down normally, the passive server does not start the service

    Hi friends,

I have a question for the vCenter heartbeat,

When the Active Server is shut down normally, the passive server does not start the service.

    Is this normal?

    Thank you.

He starts the services on the passive server because the correct judgment still leaves the server active as being the "main".

Stop all services of it properly. And after it comes back online replication starts as before, so that no service must be started on both servers. (in this case that you will have questions)

Please note that on a server computer, you have 2 possibilities to "stopping down": the BONE and the option of status and control of the server Vcenter Heartbeat

  • While trying to close Windows Live Mail, I get the error message "there are messages in your Outbox - would you send? When I click on Yes, then I get the 0x8CCC0003 error message.

Original title: Windows Live Mail error

I use Windows Live Mail and have never experienced a problem. Tonight I was e.mailing good people - just normal text.

Then, because I forgot to add images, I tried to send an e-mail to the same person and added about nine pictures not as an attachment, but the actual part where I'm typing the message. I've NEVER had this problem before, but now I still see the message in my Outbox but I am unable to send it.  When I click on my e.mail and close all the windows that are ready to shut down the PC, I get the message windows "there are messages in your Outbox - would you send? When I click on Yes, then I get the 0x8CCC0003 error message.  No idea WHY this could be happening all of a sudden unannounced.. ??

Any help would be appreciated to greately thank you!

It is likely that the message in the Outbox is damaged.  Too bad.  You will need to remove it.

Next time when you send email and want to ATTACH photos, do not use the WLM feature for the photos, but the paper clip icon to ATTACH photos.  This email will be visible to the receiving end with attachments that can easily be saved.

Also, check with your email provider to see if there are limits on the size of an email.  You can be greater than a limit.

  • I'm trying to access a wireless network with the password provided for me. I get the following error message

I'm trying to access a wireless network with the password provided for me. I get the following error message: "the network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 characters ascii or hexadecimal 10 or 26. "what does this error message mean and how do I address so that I can access the wireless network?

I use XP Professional with service pack 3. I get this error message every other time I try to log in to a protected wireless network security. I used to not get this message; but, now, it may be impossible, sometimes to call all wireless providers when I might only need for a short period or after hours service opening.

In addition, it is my computer that requires the network password to be different, not the provider of wireless. A password is given to me who works for other users, but my computer won't let me use it.

    Hello:

I can't help you with this specific issue, but if you can get it is resolved and you can read the product key 25 character Microsoft Windows on the bottom of your PC, do your own installation of W7 media to reinstall W7.

    Here's how:

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. Link and instructions below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.
