Undesirable Anti-aliasing after export to PDF!

Dear community,

First of all, let me tell you, I'm relatively new to indesign.

It's really driving me crazy: my boss gave me the task of renewing our business cards (no new provision, just different names and addresses). So I got the indesign file my predecessor did and changed the names and contact details. The indesign file contains three sides back to three different people, each with their own QR code.

I made three new QR codes, removed the 'old' and brought the new po those (codes were initially PNG, I put them in Photoshop and exported in the form of PSD because I heard, I should use PSD files in ID instead of PNG or JPEG).

When exporting to PDF, two of these QR codes are works fine, the third has the following problem: on the edges of the code, light gray thin lines appear, to my untrained eye, these look just as anti-aliasing. These only appear in the exported PDF file, not in Indesign itself and that in one of the three QR-codes, even if I created and imported them all the same way.

I probably should mention, I did 50% transparent codes. I already did a lot of research about this issue and has said that it is a bug that has been fixed in ID CC 2014, so I updated my ID for this version, imported the corrupt PSD, still the same problem.

What I did wrong with this PSD file in particular? Could there be a button or something, when I have the psd selected in the iD, which activates / deactivates AA on and off that particular file?

I've added two pictures. 1 is one of those who do not all problems, the second is one that has some anti-aliasing, unwanted (or whatever it is). I just did the screenshots in Acrobat, because this forum won't let me download the PDF files. As I said, they both come from the same ID, exported file the same way.

Thanks in advance for your kind help.

The problem was caused by downsampling. The resolution is higher and you down tasted with the wrong method, also, you used grayscale or CMYK or RGB image, in this case a 1 bit image would be the choice. But the best is to use the feature ID QR.

On the left is my InDesign file, on the right is my created PDF file by choosing export > Adobe PDF (Print) > Adobe PDF presets: print quality with bleeding.

It is two paragraphs in a text box. Why is the part of the first paragraph moves? It looks like a movement of the massive base was put on.

Just try something else. I tried with different fonts, move the copy. I retyped it in a new text box, move the copy. If I do not use the dash character (the dagger), the copy don't move here (HEY, A CLUE!) So why don't the Indent here character cause the copy to move throughout this paragraph and not in the other 30 + instances of this file?

To do this job to the printer, I copied the areas affected in a new layer and hide this layer, then in the first layer, I have only converted text in vectorised text boxes and sent them a new PDF.

    Any idea would be appreciated.

    BINGO!

This page is another area of text on it which is causing the problem. Two text boxes overlap. When I move the OTHER text box to the top layer this problem disappeared!

Thanks Peter and Eugene for me to walk through it.

  • The sample buttons display with blue background after export to PDF. Why?

So much for InDesign to make my life easier by creating forms...
I dragged and filed a 'checkbox' sample on my workspace. The second area is wider, because I want the 'clickable area' is greater than just the button. There is no pigment not set here the color of the ticks/crosses. All seems well until I have export to PDF (usual interactive options) and it's kinda ugly background behind the buttons!

I checked other 'States' and none of them had color in them either... so where is this ugly blue color coming from?
See the diagram below to see what I've done... Thanks in advance for any help - it's driving me crazy!

It is part of Acrobat to highlight areas to fill out a form. It can be disconnected in Acrobat, look in the help file for these functions to do with forms and areas to fill.

Unfortunately, everyone will have their own settings in Acrobat, I don't think you can do this defect, it will be little matter how people have their set Acrobat in place for discovers of interactive PDF documents.

  • Printing problem after export to PDF

When printing directly from InDesign, all right.

When exporting to PDF and print then get the question below. These lines of text are supposed to be the exact same color. On the first picture as you can see that he blue print, on the second it printed a light shade of gray.

Here's the interesting part. If I "print" to PDF via the print menu and then proceed to printing as PDF all right.

It is not specific, as has happened before, it also happens in several places on the document page.

Using CS5.5 on Windows 7 64 bit, all programs are up to date.

    Any suggestions?

Looks like the driver is having a problem with ligatures. Your doc don't seem too good, but try the wide of ligatures in ID and export a new PDF and see if this one will print.

    > Then, I rebuilt my system font cache. Still no luck. (Deleted FNTCACHE. (DAT)

Not a good thing. You should only remove Adobefnt.? LST files and only when the? is in double figures.

  • Problem of hyperlink after export to PDF

I came across this problem with a link out of a lot last week and never understood how to fix it. Now, I have a document with a single link, and the link does not work properly. The link is clickable, but brings me to a 404 error page, although the link works fine in Word and Outlook. This is a members only site so nobody here he can go, but I've included the link below:

    https://Netforum.avectra.com/eweb/DynamicPage.aspx?site=MAPI & WebCode = EventDetail & evt_key = 1 10cd 302-3f15-4017-b4d1 - 3930 has 4356218

I wonder if the change to CS6 changed how hyperlinks are converted, or maybe if I unconsciously changed something in my settings? I can't imagine it's the latter since I use a "Preset" and if I had changed something, it would have "(modified)", but I'm also in a loss. Once the document is converted to PDF, the link becomes:

    https://Netforum.avectra.com/eweb/DynamicPage.aspx%3FSite%3DMAPI%26WebCode%3DEventDetail%2 6evt_key % 3D110cd302-3f15-4017-b4d1 - 3930 has 4356218

What can I do to fix this?

It is a known problem. See:

  • Why anti-aliasing Illustrator CC exported files in Photoshop, even when turned off anti-aliasing?

    Hi all

I just changed to CC of CS5. My Illustration workflow involves export from Illustrator to Photoshop. I disable anti-aliasing in the export options in Photoshop to make net angles. For example,.25 black line exports ch as a wide black line of a pixel.

When exporting CC of Illustrator, I select 'none' to the anti-aliasing when exporting, but art is anti-aliasing in Photoshop. For example, exports of line noire.25 to PS as a line blurred grayscale.

Have I missed something or that I can't export a line of true crenellated Illustrator to Photoshop more?

    Thanks for any help!

This problem has been FIXED in the version of Illustrator CC 2014.

    Now I can use it!

  • After I exported a PDF (written in Hebrew) in a Word document, the Word document is written in mirror writing, how can I solve this problem?

After I exported a PDF (written in Hebrew) in a Word document, the Word document is written in mirror writing, how can I solve this problem?

This is a known bug in Acrobat. The conversion of PDF to Office documents was never designed to deal properly with the languages from right to left like Hebrew, Arabic and Farsi. There is no work around at this point.

  • CC of the Illustrator's anti-aliasing to white (?) on the edge of the exported TIFF

Example of how to reproduce the problem is quite simple:
On project empty to create rectangle in any color (let's make it green).
Export to TIFF with any anti-aliasing option turned on.
Exported TIFF gets extreme right and bottom line lighter pixel, because it would be anti-aliasing on the edge with something white.

How can I get rid of this and make these same two lines at the top and to the left (no lighter color). I need to sample for tile seamless and the only way to be, I found for a moment is 'manual' correction of these two lines in any bitmap image editor.

Same problem is with JPG and PSD export. Export WMF gets white line at the bottom (not lighter green, but white). Export BMP rectangle gives solid green without lighter lines, because I want it to be.
As I do a tile seamless for printing on fabrics, I need to format PSD or TIFF with ICC profile. Of course my tile is not as simple as the clear green rectangle, but it's easier to reproduce the problem I found.

Try another resolution, as a multiple of 72; 288 ppi.

    300 / 72 = 4, 166666666666666666

Is not a round number, causing anti-aliasing.

  • Video game after export Epub or pdf

    Really need help here!

I did a project ebook with Indesign CS6 and plans to put some interactive videos that can be played in the ebook. However, after that I followed all the instructions online to place the video content in indesign and export as pdf interactive or the Epub format, the video, I placed cannot be read and even show on Epub file.

Could someone help me solve this kind of situation? Is there any setting I have to do and I have only not for the export of interactive video content?

    Thank you

    Here are my 2cents...

I take your exported epub and try to load it on an iPad and see if you can see the video here.

I read in the forums that ADE will not play videos right now because it's not epub compatible 3.0.

    Good luck.

  • Export PDF without "show after export?

    Hello

I guess I use Batch convert from Peter Kahrel- script for InD export as PDF presets. (Im unable to check, because im behind a firewall) and I do not have my ipad autour.

As I couldn't save the 'Show after Export PDF' in my "Preset" (his gray out), a large amount of PDF opens in acrobat when exporting.

    How can I avoid this?

Im not really to understand the syntax of JS, but I guess I should add a parameter to this line:

    doc.exportFile (ExportFormat.pdfType, file, false, selectedPdfPreset);

    Can someone help me?

  • Illustrator for the Export PNG - without Anti-Aliasing/Bi-cubic interpolation

There is something missing when you export PNG images in illustrator (file > export) so when the images that have been resized in illustrator get exported, get no not a subsampling anti alising/correct treatment.

It is a scaling in illlustrator to 88% of the images. The first Image is a PNG export , while the second image is saved through Save for Web... the difference between the qualities of anti-aliasing is obvious:

    save.png

It is important to note that export a JPEG file and choosing 'Art optimized' in the anti aliasing tab gives deirable results but such an option does not exist when exporting png.

  • "Look at a PDF after export" is gray!

I use Adobe Design Premium CS5 (specifically Adobe InDesign).  When establishing a new PDF preset, I have selected for compatibility Acrobat 8/9.  The problem I have is that the 'View PDF after exporting' selection is grayed out.  What can I do to get usable?

I'm not sure that you can set as part of a "Preset". I found although he comb when you select on a real export with a preset.

  • More specific anti-aliasing prevents multiple images rendering at the same time after awhile

    Hi all.

I am experiencing inconsistent memory, behaviour management when rendering my AE project that prevents me from making several images at the same time when some elements of film use accurate antialiasing.

I have a processor 8-core i7 MacBook Pro with 8 GB of RAM and I am using AE CS5.5. I visited a project with several Illustrator layers imported to keep things nice and crispy. Here is a 3D with one camera, DOF, composition and they are continuously rasterized. On some of the vector assets I have to set the antialiasing for "More precise" in the dialog box interpret footage to address some problems with image quality. Here's what I noticed when rendering:

    1. when anti-aliasing on all assets of Illustrator is set on "Faster" return it without issues composition.

    2. I change the setting of antialiasing on some assets of the Illustrator to "More specific" to improve the quality of the image. Made of several images at the same time is off. Composition makes for a while, but eventually I get an error: "after effects error: unable to allocate enough memory for file antialias (50:5).

    3. to work around the error I load AE to empty the memory cache all 5 images or less via the Secret menu in the preferences. This prevents the error from happening and I can see the RAM being deallocated when from time to time as expected. This allows me to return the quality I need, but it is slower.

    4. in order to expedite things I light made simultaneous multiple images. I use the conservative settings: AE is to use only two hearts with 3 GB of RAM by heart (the maximum allowed). The rendering is accelerated. However, I see that the system "in use" RAM continues to increase at each image made up until the computer runs out, how AE automatically turns off made simultaneous multiple images and begins to display one image at a time. This does not happen whe all vector assets are defined to use fast antialiasing one I can make indefinitely with simultaneous multiple images rendering, but I don't get this way the desired quality. Please note that there is enough RAM for the carrots for multiple images rendering, but it seems as if having made a frame, the system is not free or reuse the memory when assets use specific anti-aliasing and will use another piece until there is no more.

Also, I'm outputing to a sequence of images.

Please help me to find a workaround for this problem. Thank you!

This is probably a software design limitation (or bug) in the underlying code of Illustrator and there is no work around for this. You might dutifully report it here, but it's as good as it gets, and even when you do, you shouldn't be pregnant it be fixed anytime soon. In 12 years of use AE, that kind of thing never worked 100% right...

  • Print from InDesign prints fine, but print after that exporting to PDF prints black as gray, low Image quality

    Hi all

I have a printing problem going on with a document that I am currently trying to print.  When you export to PDF (high quality print or press quality setting, as well as to any possible color output) and then print, black my document go to the gray and the images look washed out.  This does not happen if I print directly from InDesign on my printer.  I tried to change the merger of transparent space, change the color profiles document and corresponding to export options to the options used when you print directly from ID, all without success. the document is always printed wrong when exporting to PDF first.  Any ideas why this might happen when exporting or printing to PDF, but not when you print directly from ID?  Thanks in advance for any help!

I see.  Is there a way to ID artificially add CMY export in the same way as it does when sending to print?

Is the destination of the document a composite digital printer or an offset press? If it is composite set your black preference for export fills and convert to RGB on export:

In Acrobat, the two blacks will be 0. 0 | 0 RGB and will display the same

  • anti-aliasing using the 9233

    Hi Jeff,

The first thing that you should start with is a guide to the delta sigma converter:

It is the ADC that is used on the 9233. The delta sigma converter has a built-in inherent anti-aliasing filter. If you look at the dynamic features section of 9233 operating manual it will show you some of the features of this filter. The filter is a digital and the bandwidth and the stopband are calculated according to the sampling rate, you specify the 9233. If you give a sampling frequency of 50 kHz,-3 dB attenuation point bandwidth will be 50 k * 0.45 = 22.5 kHz. If all the components below 22.5 kHz will be kept completely and everything above that will be alleviated. This ensures that you will get no aliasing.

If you apply a 20 kHz filter after that you'll still good data because the threshold for the anti-aliasing filter is greater than the maximum sampling frequency (50 kHz).

Please let me know if this clarifies this question a little better.
