unexpected pop up

A few days back I clicked on the icon to open Firefox and a popup appears that says something like: "it's embarrassing, but Firefox has trouble opening. You want to try to solve the problem or start a new session? »
I clicked on start a new session, but since it has bothered me that I can have fallen for a scam or bug infestation. It's the truth?
NB. I ran an anti virus scan then and nothing turned up badly.

This means that Firefox has dropped more than once or it didn't close properly.

Try using ' Firefox/file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave ";) Linux: "file > exit ') to close Firefox if you're doing that by clicking on the X close in the title bar.

  • Unexpected Windows 7 Pro Message on encryption of files, asking Me to back up the encryption key and password

Have a desktop HP 590 t 2 - months old, Win 7 Pro 64-bit running.  Two days ago, I received an unexpected pop-up Windows message, saying something like "Files EFS in Windows."  When I click on it, I get 3 options:

1 certificate of encryption and the emergency key and create the password
    2 ask me later
    3. do nothing... If you don't back up your key and the password, you will not be able to access the files.

What is strange, is that I did nothing (that I know) which would cause no files to encrypt.  I don't know yet what it is, other than what I read in the help Windows.  I called HP Tech Support, they advised me to choose "REMIND ME LATER", that's what I selected.

After that I turned the computer off yesterday morning, then turned it back last night, I had the same command prompt.  But he appeared at the start, then went off on his own.  I did have to choose anything.

Since it is a new computer, I was installing software, but legitimate all software, such as Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Dreamweaver, etc..

    Here are my questions:

1 - is Windows, or could some software I have installed, start encrypting files ON it's OWN?  I thought files could only be encrypted if I expressly and explicitly started encryption of files.

    2. is there a say if all the files on my computer are encrypted?

3 is it normal that Windows prompts you on file encryption, after so many weeks or months of use?

    4. is there a way to get Windows to stop for prompting me on this subject?

I read another post where someone said the same thing.  'Out of the blue", they got the same message, I did it.  There was no response to this post.  Appreciate any advice on what it means.  Thank you

Thanks for the tips.  I think I may know what it is.  It could be the edition of SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer, I had installed recently.  Apparently, it encrypts certain files as part of its operation.  I read where it makes the encryption/decryption of files in real time.  I hope it's something 'internal' for SQL Server and will not affect anything else on my PC.  I use SQL Server 2000 on Windows XP for 10 years and has never seen this message.  Was only my PC Win7 64 bit for 2 months, so am always install software.

If the OS Win7 can be noticed this and simply prompting me for a key.  I don't know if I should get just a key/password or not, just to be safe.

But the message popped up when I used an option in a program to copy files to an external flash drive.  I checked, and none of the files on the flash drive, or in the folder root of the program on the desktop are encrypted.  So the time the message appeared might be a coincidence, as the copy of files from the flash drive.

So far, everything works OK and have only seen the message once more, when I restarted Friday, then the message disappeared on its own.  Have not restarted since then but little time.

If he continues to appear, will try your suggestion.  Thank you very much

  • STOP: c000021a {fatal system error} during shutdown

I have Windows XP SP3 running on an old laptop Asus L2000 who remains perfectly functional.

Whenever I stopped him, this BSOD stop: c000021a {fatal system error} and something on the logon process terminated unexpectedly pop and the laptop just stays on like that until I hit the button to power only, then it will turn off. In the contrary case, the laptop runs normally.
I looked everywhere but nothing is done, nobody gives never a direct response to how which and where to fix the problem.
This problem started after a process of full consolidation (anti-virus, registry and the batch recovery) after an escape of the virus. Now the system is clean.
Is there a particular way or procedure to get rid of this problem?

  • Received a call of 'Microsoft Partner' £100 to fix the virus csrss.exe eager...

I received a call from Aishaz Tech informing me, I got the "csrss.exe"virus and that they could solve the problem for me for £100, which is the cost of the "Microsoft Tools" necessary to solve the problem.  They said that I not able to repair myself, nor anyone else would have had none of these tools and they are a Microsoft partner.  I run MS Windows 7 Home Preimium.  I didn't even notice that I had a problem.  There is only one version of crss.exe in the running task manager (although I can't open the file location) and I have had no other problems such as unexpected POPs Windows that other people with this virus are complaining about.

How can I know that this is not just a scam to get 100 pounds of me?
How can I know that I even the virus?
How do they know I have the virus and where they got my phone number from?
Is it also true that not even reformat the HARD drive and reinstall all the software from scratch can solve the problem?

They asked me to use "Teamviewer" free software to enable them to take on my screen, showing me the 'evidence' that I got the virus csrss.exe by:
    (1) running msconfig and showing me that much Microsoft services in the Service tab have the status 'arrested '.  They said all Microsoft services in the Service tab are essential and must always be running - is this true?
    (2) they ran regedit and viewd under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SAFETY record, for which the data column says (value not set) and told me that it meant my anti-virus did not work (I use AVG Free, who says he runs and certainly seems to be analyzes all incoming e-mails).  Nobody knows what the data column should be in it?
    (3) they then looked at what is called prefetch, showed me loads of entries with numbers and no names of recognizable program or file which said, contained the virus.
4 BACK), they ran a tree, sending loads of country names and other information too fast to read the screen, followed a sentence saying your antivirus software is out of date or does not work and an urgent need to be updated.  But I keep my AVG anti-virus updated software automatically.
I don't know what to do and I am really worried about what they could do with my computer while they were back online.  Someone at - it good suggestions please?

    Hi JevenStulie,

    1. are you able to boot into normal mode after receiving these error messages?

You can try these steps and see if it helps.

    Step 1:

You can check if the problem occurs in safe mode with network.

Start your computer in safe mode

    Startup options (including safe mode)

    Step 2:

If you do not experience the problem in safe mode with network, then you can read the following article to download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and analysis complete on your computer.

  • 693 error and POP record 11700 in the sidebar?

I recently reinstalled win 7 OS on my computer and my emails were slow to send lately, I noticed that he sends two copies in the sent folder? Also a folder named POP appeared on the side panel since Ive done the re - install? I removed it but it came back and load the files or something? Ive been watching, she went up to 11700 and stopped. I deleted the Thunderbird and re-installed, but he has not made a difference? Ive been tried without success to find this report, I found for send you, it says something about error 693? He said something about chrome can not do something or other, but I do not use just Firefox with the google chrome thingo. I hope you get what I mean here, and you have enough to go. ?

You used to have a POP mail account is my proposal, and now he's created an an out IMAP. I guess also that it is anHotmail/MSN/Outlook.com account.

Hotmail moved mail deleted by as Thunderbird e-mail clients using the pop Protocol in a deleted folder called pop. It also saves a copy of every mail you send in the sent folder. Thunderbird, does as well. So you get two copies.

That would have contained the POP record was a copy of the e-mails that were previously download 11 700.

Right-click on the account in the folders list, and then select settings.
Under copies and records clear places a copy of the po and leave the Hotmail to manage all this.

What you have now is fully synchronized with the server. So if you delete something in Thunderbird it will remove on the Hotmail server. Even if you delete something on the server, you will see that it is also deleted in Thunderbird. If you use IMAP on a phone or other device. Changes it will synchronize to all other devices. Very practical, but can have unexpected results if you do not get the character synchronized of the beast.

Maybe it's a message generated by the web page when it receives unexpected comments. Just guessing.

If this is unexpected, and that you are not on a site that trust, click Cancel. "He also mentioned if you see a British flag...

  • HP 9000dn size unexpected tray for tray 4

OK let it try again.  I have two HP printers 9000dn lets call the Imprimante1 and imprimante2 (both have a tray 4 attached).  I have an error on imprimante2 (unexpected size tray) 41.3 associated with tray 4 and tried the following resolutions to know available fixing.  I try so here whether anyone can explain or give me an idea of what is wrong with it.

    (1) swapped Imprimante1 with imprimante2 so that TRAY 4 is now used by Imprimante1 and error still appear after a print job.

    (2) traded on RG5-6235-000CN to Imprimante1, imprimante2 still shows up, but on Printer1 I placed it in her and it prints fine.

    (3) replaced all the rolls

    (4) replace all paper size detection (RG5-6207-R)

    (5) Ran the sensor, autonomous, engine tests and cleared very well.

Checked 6) I don't know how many times the type size and tray tray and are properly set on letter and plain in both Control Panel and on tray 4 screen.

    (7) imprimante2 default factory reset and set all settings back to normal operation and error appears.

    (8) printed several odd jobs and the error did not show pages (100-200), but when I run a print job 400 + the error will appear in the 100 pages or later version, which seems that the error appears randomly.

    (9) when I cancel the current print job when the error pops up and the second job starts, it prints fine, but because print jobs must be in order I didn't wait for the error appears again before canceling it.

I am at a loss, and I think I might start just to Exchange parts of the tray tray 4 imprimante2 Imprimante1 4, but I'd rather not if I can help it.  Also think it may be a cable or something.

obyIT, what do you mean by "we're going to try again? I discovered some information for you, this link (http://goo.gl/Km5yB) describes a method to resolve this error message.

Alternatively, there is little more information available on this page too (http://goo.gl/EtCWR).

Regarding connections, what type of cable you are using? What is a USB or Ethernet connection?

  • Windows must now restart because the print spooler service terminated unexpectedly

I have a PC running on Windows Vista professional that I had for about a year with two printers that have also been all this time, a HP LaserJet 1000 and an Epson SX105.

This morning, amid a series of PDFs (separate files) printing on LaserJet printers, I suddenly had the following pop-up message:

"Spooler SubSystem App stopped working and was closed".

On the Control Panel, I found that my two printers have apparently disappeared.  My first reaction was just close and restart the computer, often kind of seeds.

To restart, I tried to print again, but I was told that I had to install a printer.  Trying to install a printer, I learned that I could not because of a problem with the spooler.  I looked online to find a solution and one that suits (without touching the registry) seemed to be to check the operation of via Control Panel's print spooler, and then restart.  Oh dear.  What a mistake!  I did this and found that the printers have reappeared, but then about 30 seconds later, I got the following pop-up message:

"Windows must now restart because the print spooler service terminated unexpectedly.

Each time it restarts the message comes back after less than a minute and restarts on another 30 seconds later, so I have a chance to try a system restore (I installed the last service pack Vista a couple of days), or something else... it's just in a loop of perpetual reboot, I can't stop restarting Windows.

How the hell do I?  (I send this message using my Vista laptop and pray the same problem occur here, too, so I don't have to print anything).

Use this method to clear the spooler and then uninstall and reinstall your printer (check with the manufacturer for)
