AFAIK safe mode option is available if you open the advanced boot options, and you can do it if you use F8 at startup. Have you already tried?

Turn on your laptop and press F8 several times.
To be honest I put t have experience with this search.us.com but if you'll be able to start laptop in safe mode try roll back the OS a few days back to see if the problem persists.

I'm tired to remove the software "TuneUp Utilities" of my PC with Vista system by all methods. but he has failed. Its logo is still showing in the lower right area.  The 4 files total 'DseShFxt - x 86 .dll, SDShelEx - Win32.dll, TuneUpUtilitiesApp32.exe, and TuneUpUtilitiesService32.exe"cannot delete from\\:C\Program TuneUp Utilities 2012.

Please please tell me how to remove them.

The way to get rid of any application is to use the applet to the Panel, programs and features.  Never try just remove the folder Program Files because you will remove a fraction of demand and parts remain in places like the registry, folder Windows, drivers, and other places.  This can cause unspeakable pain, in order to avoid by all means do.

If you cannot uninstall it from the applet programs and features, you can at least prevent it from start by running MSCONFIG.  To click Start and type MSCONFIG in the search box.  Then click on MSCONFIG. EXE in the list of programs to run it.  Then click on the Startup tab.  Look for an entry that starts this program and uncheck the box.  Click OK and restart.

I hope this helps.  Good luck.

  • Installation/uninstall failure

My old installation of Vmware Player was working fine, UNTIL I chose to allow the upgrade to the latest version today.

He downloaded the installation file and begun the process by saying that he had to remove the old version first.  Finally, I got an error message that does not have the MSI file.  No log file has been created.

I tried to uninstall it using Add/Remove programs in Windows, and it also ended by saying that he didn't have the MSI file.  Again, here have been no created log.

I am now left with no working copy of Vmware Player and no idea of how clean the old to get a new installation to complete...

  • 488.2 NOR install any failure due to an incomplete uninstall

I'm trying to uninstall OR 488.2 version 1.74 to replace it with version 3.0.2. After the uninstall is complete, but before I restarted, the computer crashed.

Now 488.2 1.74 still appears in the Add/Remove Software dialog box NOR, but I can't remove it because of the error to Windows Installer 1612. (I reinstalled Windows Installer 4.5 successfully twice, but it did not help).

I tried to fix the old version, but it asks that the drivers of devices OR May 2004. I downloaded several versions of around this date on the NOR, including a marked v1.7, but none seems to be good (they are not "a place of valid distribution" for necessary repair files).

I was able to successfully install and uninstall 488.2 version 2.24 from the Web site of NOR, but it did not help.

A complete search of the system does no file referring to v1.74. In addition, no version of 488.2 appears in MAX. These facts lead me to believe that the old version is, in fact, not installed on the machine more. However, the installation for v3.0.2 DVD and Add/Remove Software dialog box OR still think it's there.

They are looking for a DLL or another specific file indicate the presence of an earlier version? Where would these files be installed? I am running XP SP3, Labview 2011 SP1, MAX 5.1.

Alternatively, can someone please provide me with a MSI jet?

Here's what worked for me (removed v1.74 legacy 488.2 and installed the new 488.2 driver, v.3.0.2). It took all day and I hope I remembered the correct order:

    (1) disable all services NOT in msconfig, and then restart

    (2) delete the folder C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments

    (3) follow the MSI blowing up the instructions on this page, thanks to step 8, and then restart: http://forums.ni.com/ni/attachments/ni/170/193600/1/MSI%20Blast%20instructions.txt

    (4) download windows "install and uninstall" utility program:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall

    (5) to run the utility, specifying that you have a problem to uninstall a program. All programs OR that I just deleted were still visible. Select the one that has already failed to uninstall, in my case 488.2 v1.74. (The utility removed this program without error).

    (6) reinstall Labview from the DVD, then re-enable all services OR in msconfig, and then restart

    (7) install the new instrument drivers. More surprising still, some of the drivers that I just deleted yet found to exist! Fortunately, 488.2 was not among them and the new version installed properly.

    Here's what worked for me:

-Messing with the registry badly damaged the boot sector on my D: drive (this is partly my fault, because I recorded my backup of the registry on drive D :)

-About 10 different programs freeware/trial version of any hair could not repair sector

-A registry repair tool found problems with the registry and impossible to repair. He's always corrupt.

-The internet is full of horrible programs that wreak havoc on your system if you spend a lot of time to read about them in the forums in the world

-It took all day to understand

In my opinion, National Instruments should really get their act together and publish a uninstall tool that actually works. Or better yet, release compiled versions of instrument for Mac OS X drivers.

    Hello

    ·         You receive error messages?

    ·         This happens with all the updates?

    ·         What are the updates, those who are causing these question?

    Method 1:

  • Constant, failure to update, tried for several hours technical support help, recommended full could not uninstall and reinstall, install now freezes at 74%

No, I'm really lost and I don't know what else to do and I'm not anxious to be on technical support for several hours again.

My problem was originally that the hotfix update released last November failed to install. I ask on the forum for help, I got some good suggestions but nothing worked. Since Photoshop still worked I've just postponed the issue.

Several months later, I decided to try everything I can to get the update to work. Created another Admin removed tried Photoshop by reinstalling. Still no. Tried several different things that do not work.

I finally got with technical support, I allow access to my computer. They spent several hours uninstalling and reinstalling and not as I did. They did get more advances but after almost 4 hours, I was tired of looking at Photoshop do not settle.

They said they have done all the troubleshooting that they could, and that the best option was to simply uninstall all Adobe and then reinstall it.

I did tonight. Following the instructions here are using the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems

Now I'm stuck with freezing to 74% on installation of Photoshop. Further research led me to this Adobe CC 2015 Direct Download Links: Creative Cloud 2015 Release | ProDesignTools

Unfortunately, at the start of the installation, it cannot connect to the internet. I know that my connection is working because I can watch sites Web, but stops install on it. I try connecting later button and he asks a serial Code. I have CC so I is not a serial Code and may not try to generate a.

If Photoshop used to work but not to update. Now it doesn't work at all.

I'm desperate, I need help to solve this problem. Suggestions, ideas about why this is happening and what I can do to work around it? My number is 0187559333

Finally managed to do work. I also tried the update and it worked also. It's been a long day.

On the downloaded installation, there is an option to install a trial version or install a licensed version. The property stored fault due to the weird internet connection being found and the absence of an activation code. But the installation of the trial worked. Has exceeded the dreaded 74% and kept things.

The end of installation, I opened creative cloud and looked at the applications tab. The update appeared later. I clicked top and too installed completely.

Now I just hope the trial realizes that I have a legitimate CC account and that it does not lock me in the coming days.

  • Some site to load then receive errors like this: (function() {var _UDS_CONST_LOCALE = "en";) Uninstalled and reinstalled firefox. No help.

Some sites work very well. I have Firefox on my work PC and laptop. I can open incandescence.com on them, but on this desk, it loads a page with what follows, 1000's of lines like the following:

Maybe a content filtering went wrong. Could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

  • I uninstalled Firefox and now you want to reinstall, but my computer says that it is already 100% downloaded.

I couldn't use Firefox because it wouldn't load websites (it would just load for several minutes before giving up). I have reset and the problem persisted. As a last resort, I uninstalled Firefox to see if then put it back would solve the problem. Try reinstalling Firefox, after clicking on "Run", my computer says that Firefox is 100% downloaded, despite the fact that it has been uninstalled and is no longer on my computer. As a result, it is now impossible for me to launch Firefox. Any help?

On the main download page, you get a small "stub" for Firefox installer that needs to connect to additional files. Firewalls or other components can sometimes this fails (even if 100% doesn't look like a failure...).

  • I uninstalled and reinstalled and Firefox for windows 7 does not open. There is no error message - it just does not, even in safe mode. What should I do?

My computer is set to the automatic update in Windows 7 Home Premium and Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. I am also running Norton 360. There was a major update for the office on 10-12-14, which seems to be at the start of my problems. This month, whenever my updates caused a restart, Mozilla has failed to open. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and it lasted only a day or two before it crashes again. This last time it is still not open. All instructions to solve problems appear to be based on the idea that the program is open and just questions. I can't even open it in Mode without failure.

I tried to reinstall, and it says it will launch automatically when the installation is complete, but it does not work. As Norton scan every download before it works, I am not sure if this is the problem since I never get the window that indicates the setup step by step for Firefox.

    What should I do?

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. A clean reinstall is not the same as a regular resettlement performed using built-in installer. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu

      Click the close button

      ).

    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

WARNING: Do not use an uninstaller to third parties as part of this process. This could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. They can be retrieved easily unless they have been backed up on an external device! See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.

Please report to say if this helped you!

    Thank you.
