Installation/uninstall failure
My old installation of Vmware Player was working fine, UNTIL I chose to allow the upgrade to the latest version today.
He downloaded the installation file and begun the process by saying that he had to remove the old version first. Finally, I got an error message that does not have the MSI file. No log file has been created.
I tried to uninstall it using Add/Remove programs in Windows, and it also ended by saying that he didn't have the MSI file. Again, here have been no created log.
I am now left with no working copy of Vmware Player and no idea of how clean the old to get a new installation to complete...
Welcome to the community,
There could be several cause the cause, for example the AV, firewalls, processes such as fixcamera.exe...
I suggest that you take a look at http://faq.sanbarrow.com/index.php?action=artikel&cat=3&id=114&artlang=en for clues on what to look for. If this is not enough, maybe http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1308 can.

Due to a major accident due to the power failure during the installation of the driver updates, I had to re install a good large number of programs, one being intelitype pro.
Made the normal elimination with add and remove, but kept having the program stopped asking for the disc, even if it was in the player and had been directed to it many times. The program kept appearing and disappearing in the Add/Remove window. It was not found in the programs. Finally turned to fix. I found patches corrupted in the registry and these as well as other repaired registry issues. He also said that it had removed the software. In re boot and attempt to re installation, I found myself back at the beginning, except that this time, that the file is that neither in the programs, nor add it delete window. What I'm doing.
(The accident seems to have illiminated one of my portable usb drive. It does not show in the Device Manager. Just, it's sitting there and a strident sound; "but that is another problem).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Bob.
Hi Bob,
1. are you able to install/uninstall other programs successfully?

4. where exactly you install the driver? Is it USB or through online?

Acrobat installer - unexpected failure - DC Pro Trial
My essay has downloaded fine, but I get an error when you try to install it. He stopped and asked me to close the player, which was open, so I did, then click Retry. When I open the installer, it checks the download, the blue bar goes 50% overall, it starts the installation and then said, "install Acrobat has met an unexpected failure. Please try again. If it continues to fail, contact Adobe technical support. "I tried to update the drive, restart my mac, nothing is done. The same problem.
I suspected.
I'm really sorry, Acrobat Pro DC requires either Mac OS 10.9.x or 10.10. versions. Please check the link for more details below:

CC of the installation, uninstall CS6?
Just installed my first CC app (Dreamweaver), went well. I'm a convert CS6 Design Premium. Compliments to the designers, launched Dreamweaver CC and all my sites were there, no need to re - enter all info. I have a question, can be a simple, but don't want to move forward without asking. Now that I made the jump to the CC, I should unstall CS6 completely? I'm holding out to make one application at a time to ensure that everything is fine, but who uses a lot of space to do it this way (not bad for space, BTW). They (Adobe) may have done some mods already because this installation seems to be smoother.
Thanks for any input.
Tom
Hi Tom,
You can uninstall CS6 if you do not want to use the version and to save disk space.
However, you would not face problems if you have both versions installed together.
Kind regards

Help necessary after CS4 CS3 installation uninstall problem
Hello
I recently upgraded my computer from Vista to Win7, so I spent a lot of time to update applications. I realized my CS2 wouldn't work and I was told that I had to at least get CS3. I bought the CS3 and installed on my two new Win7 machines without problem. I then discovered that CS3 is no longer supported by Adobe, so I need to get CS4 or CS5. I installed CS4 trail and decided for now back to CS3. I had not uninstalled CS3, but was disabled, not knowing if CS4 would no longer write it or if the two can co-exist. uninstalled CS4 via the Control Panel, CS3 re-activated and all was well on both machines. Then, on my machine main update of Adobe wanted to update a few modules, InDesign and Acrobat Pro. Things went very well with the update until he asked me my CS4 disc? I have it mood the second time and fed Alternatively the CS3 and CS4 disc... he let me not put both if I swapped the drives until I was no longer able to lift my arm and when everything is done, the installation failed.
He left me with no functional InDesign. To make things worse, activation could not connect to Adobe for some reason any. I was able to use the phone process to activate products, but now I wanted to try installing CS3, but it wouldn't let me disable due to network issue, and there is no option to disable, internet phone or she to jump.
I called Adobe and asked for help. I talked about the problem of turning off for them. They said to go and Uninstall CS3 and we arrange activation after the re - install. Knowing that he might take a long time, he said he'd call me back... never did. I tried to help and were unable to get help.
What I have now is a CS3 uninstalled that I can't install at all, so I am in worse shape before, when only InDesign did not work.
I have DW3 on the same computer and it is very well and has been very well throughout the process.
I need a way to exorcise the PC of all memory of CS3 or CS4 so I can really start from scratch. Is there a such a "wipe bomb Adobe" I might fall on my registry to really get rid of his insistence on the CS4 install disk need?
I am convinced that CS4 did not uninstall cleanly, leaving files or settings that still refer to CS4, in conflict with any attempt to update or reinstall the product correctly. I hope that this happened to someone else and has found a solution, far from rebuild the whole PC.
Thank you!
Lew
Adobe Photoshop cleanup script is would have been good for just this sort of thing:

He said CS5, but it works on older versions as well (note the text at the beginning of the description).

NB520: Start Windows 7 - How to start safe mode startup and uninstall failure
Hello
I can't use it on my Windows 7 boot (Notebook NB520), the system uninstall the program to uninstall search.us.com - a virus/malware.I searched the forums for help and tried to launch the program malwarebytes anti-malware, who reported the virus files and depending on the program, has removed the. However, I am still unable to uninstall search.us.com.
I found another tool ComboFix but this forces me to run Windows 7 start in "safe mode".
I have 2 questions:
How to I invoke safe mode to start my laptop computer?
Someone successfully remove or uninstall search.us.com?Thanks in advance.
Concerning
XueAFAIK safe mode option is available if you open the advanced boot options, and you can do it if you use F8 at startup. Have you already tried?
Turn on your laptop and press F8 several times.
To be honest I put t have experience with this search.us.com but if you'll be able to start laptop in safe mode try roll back the OS a few days back to see if the problem persists.
It helped me solve a similar problem. Also check http://www.im-infected.com/hijacker/search-us-com-start-search-us-com.html
Maybe it will help you.Good luck.

"TuneUp Utilities" uninstall failure
I'm tired to remove the software "TuneUp Utilities" of my PC with Vista system by all methods. but he has failed. Its logo is still showing in the lower right area. The 4 files total 'DseShFxt - x 86 .dll, SDShelEx - Win32.dll, TuneUpUtilitiesApp32.exe, and TuneUpUtilitiesService32.exe"cannot delete from\\:C\Program TuneUp Utilities 2012.
Please please tell me how to remove them. The way to get rid of any application is to use the applet to the Panel, programs and features. Never try just remove the folder Program Files because you will remove a fraction of demand and parts remain in places like the registry, folder Windows, drivers, and other places. This can cause unspeakable pain, in order to avoid by all means do.
If you cannot uninstall it from the applet programs and features, you can at least prevent it from start by running MSCONFIG. To click Start and type MSCONFIG in the search box. Then click on MSCONFIG. EXE in the list of programs to run it. Then click on the Startup tab. Look for an entry that starts this program and uncheck the box. Click OK and restart.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Installation / uninstall Version HR X 5
Hello... I just had to uninstall my version of RoboHelp X 5, 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 then have version 7.0.1 installed on my PC by IT to test the UAT, and then you uninstall it 7.0.1 so I could reload the X 5 version. I reinstalled the version X5.0 from a disk. I also ordered 7.0.1 (must have driven him to my PC via my COMPUTER group, which can take up to 10 days to complete). In the meantime, I have a deadline RoboHelp project next week. Does not encrypt just? FYI, I'm on XP and using Office 2003.
Some questions have been raised by what I hope the list can help me with:
* I have no version 5.0.1 and 5.0.2. Anyone has any idea how I would get their? The "Check for Updates" in the help tells me that the Macromedia server is down... and that no longer works. I seem to remember that there are major problems in the execution of X 5 without them. Am I remembering correctly?
* What is the best way to uninstall the version of X 5 before get the 7.0.1 version? I hope that 7.0.1 will uninstall? If not, is it possible to use Add/Remove programs? I saw a uninstall program on the disk. I did uninstall the first time, and it took 4-5 days to make after I asked it so I hope for a faster method.
* Does anyone know where I can get the tutorial to version 7? They are not included in the download again.
TIA a lot.
Alden
Hi Alden.
Click here for patch access the 5.0.2. Just run it once you have installed RHX5 on the drive you have. The patch solves many queries so you better install it.
Uninstall RH is concerned, option of Control Panel normally just by using your add/remove programs does the trick. However, in some cases not all components are removed. You can click here for an article about how to do that there is no evidence left.
The extent of RH7 tutorials are concerned, hop on to Peter Grainge site for a multitude of information.

I'm having the same problem as others, i.e. a previous update failed during installation (power failure) and now Vista SP2 install it, complain about 80070490. Running sfc/scannow says I have 6 CBS MUM missing kb905866. Recommendation found Googling this problem from microsoft is to repair vista, requiring downloads of the entire suite of updates which will take ages! Can't I just uninstall the KB or remove the registry entries for it or something to force it to be reinstalled?
Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for Windows Vista, but only for Service Pack 2 (SP2). This support, initially planned to end on November 26, 2009, has been postponed until February 26, 2010, so move on!
Availability of support chat or messaging differs depending on your location. Some questions may require that more support for which he is advanced a charge.

Remove Vista update files after installation
Hello
I'm new to Vista. I have Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I have all the updates that are installed for a while now and the system works properly. I want to remove the installation & uninstall files. In XP, files were located in the Windows folder and blue color for easy identification. I think I found the folder in Vista, it is, is the right folder C:\Windows\Servicing\Packages? Is it safe to delete all files in this folder the same as in XP. I know that I won't be able to uninstall the updates later. Thanks for the help.
Malcolm
Malcolm, we can not defend deleting the files found in the Windows directory unless they are part of a process of solving problems, is there a reason to delete the content of your package store? If you are running low on space, you must use the cleanup utility disk (found in the start menu-> all programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> disk cleanup). Rami
