The point of the option to be clicked is located in the left panel of the window!

  • Outlook must MSDOE.dll file of Outlook Express which has been uninstalled years - will not pump to send.

I'm having this problem with Outlook that I can send this e-mail out but cannot receive anything in - not useful.  Various attempts have prompted me to a message that MSOE.dll is not installed.  What I googled on this topic, Outlook uses different files that are related to Outlook Express and is likely the cause.  The MSOE.dll file is at the heart of everything it seems.

I use Windows Vista SP2 and Outlook 2010 through Office Professional 2010, version 14.0.5128.5000.

Email error message I get reads "task ' * address email is removed from the privacy *-receiving ' reported an error (0 x 80040154): ' unknown error 0 x 80040154" "I googled around and found this is related to the MSOE.dll file."  Some Web sites offers things like trying to record using "regsvr32 msoe.dll" but that did not work.

I use Thunderbird for my mail for years, but for various reasons, wanted to switch to Outlook.  I had uninstalled Outlook Express years ago because I do not have additional software installed on my laptop.   I copied the Outlook Express files in the Program Files folder from another computer, but obviously the .dll files are not registered etc, and I don't know how to get Outlook Express works, and then Outlook can be used to send email.

Any ideas?  Should what registry settings I do to get it working?  Thanks in advance...

Tried the 'Safe Mode' and I did not.  I then tried, something I should have tried earlier, to "fix" everything.  Popped in the DVD, and when it was done the work now send very well.   Resource very well... Thank you!!

  • With the help of old Windows CD to install the optional component deleted Outlook Express and I need to get it back!

We have received a Windows XP laptop from a friend and use Outlook Express for e-mail. We had a number of other things such as pilots with the laptop but not the Windows CD.  Then we wanted to reduce the size of a jpg image and I wanted to use MS Photo Editor to do what I then read on the Microsoft site that I could get by installing from any Windows CD.  Therefore, I used an old Windows XP CD from another PC, choose to install an optional component and chose as accessories to the next screen, ensure that all other options were struck down, assuming that so they would simply not be installed.  One of them was Outlook Express and Internet Explorer.  Instead of THIS the wizard DELETED Outlook Express and Internet Explorer.  When I tried to get him back by checking these options, asked me for the 2nd day of the original installation CD - which of course, I did not!  I have managed to re - download IE8 from Microsoft Download site, but of course do that for Outlook Express - and we don't have Office on this computer: (.)  Help!  (a) is it possible to reverse this process to remove/uninstall Outlook Express? (b) we now lost all our emails? (c) I already tried to go back to a previous good configuration, but that has not worked.

Thank you in advance for advice, answers or help.

First, make sure that OE has actually disappeared.  Go to start | Run and paste this and see if OE starts:

    "c:\program files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe".

Including the quotes and see if OE starts.  Very often "withdrawal" OE removes just the shortcut to it.

If this does not work, you can try reinstalling XP SP3 (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/learn-how-to-install-windows-xp-service-pack-3-sp3), but you should probably uninstall IE8 first and then reinstall it later.

You can also go to the c:\windows\inf directory and locate the msoe5.inf file and right-click on it and choose Install and see if that fixes things.

    See if that works.

  • Unable to display all unread messages in Outlook Express after running "compating" and also update Symantec AV.

Original title: how to repair Outlook Express.

Until recently, when I open Oulook Express, I'd get a screen telling me how many emails that are UNREAD.  I would then click the UNREAD and I'd get a panel showing all the emails in the order in which they came from my ISP.  Now, however, when I open OUTLOOK EXPRESS, I get immediately the last email rec'vd and the only way I can see others, is to remove the one that is open.  I am running XP-Professional and anti-virus from Symantec.  This change seemed to arise as a result of a routine compaction and update my Symantec anti-virus.  I tried to 'uninstall' OUTLOOK EXPRESS by unchecking in 'Add/Remove Windows components' and then 'install' again by checking the box, but he always reacts the same way.  Is it possible that OUTLOOK EXPRESS has somehow been corrupted?  For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

OE uncheck in Add/Remove removes only the access and nothing else. Compaction is a necessary process and unless you have actually lost messages, I doubt it was that. It is more likely Symantec which is least friendly OE AV program there. All that said, follow these steps.

1: view | Current view. Make sure Show all Messages is the only option that is checked.

2: Try in a new identity. You may have a damaged identity especially if it's the default main identity. File | Identities | Add the new identity. Create a new one and try it. If all goes well, you can import your messages and address book from the old identity and delete it.

Note: Do not use the main word in the name of the new identity.
  • How can I download outlook express 6 for xp computer

I've never used Outlook Express 6 on the xp computer. I uninstalled this email I used. So, I wanted to start using outlook express 6 on my XP computer.

But I can't send or receive e-mails. I called my Internet provider nine times and they have checked and rechecked the settings. The last time I got the Dell Solution Station technician, use direct control with the computer, a phone in 3-way with my internet provider.

Question:... If Dell to uninstall outlook express, Microsoft would send me a web link so I can re - reinstall Outlook Express 6?

    Thank you

  • Outlook Express 6 is the e-mail client 'default' in Works 8.5, can remove this icon and or replaced by Outlook 2003 or the 'other' no matter what version of outlook?

    Hi all

I have an old Dell Dimension 2400 desktop running Windows XP Pro. It has Microsoft Works 8.5, which contains a reference to Outlook Express 6 icon, so that it can be launched from inside Works 8.5.

I use NO Outlook Express 6, because I have Outlook 2003 AND Outlook 2007, can I use on it instead, if I want to - which I am not at the moment.

Anyone in this community know if it is possible to remove the icon from Outlook Express 6 to Works 8.5.

(and possibly 'replace' the icon with one for Outlook 2003 so that THIS 2003 version opens instead?)

There is no icon in Add/Remove programs for Outlook Express, or y at - it one in the "all programs" list. Is it possible to uninstall Outlook Express Windows XP completely somehow so that it does not Works 8.5 launch when a user clicks on its ' icon?

This version of Outlook Express does not work anyway (I tried to set up accounts in there, but they do not work even with the correct details) so it's wasting space on this little hard drive.

I want to be able to implement this old pc - that works fine as long as I accept his ' limits (Intel Celeron 2.4 Ghz single core cpu, 2 GB of Ram, 80 GB HDD)-for the nephews and my 11 years old 7yr to use it safely for the duties of the school, (I have a copy of the Encyclopedia Britannica 2006) , basic base 'games for kids' Web site, when they come to visit. My nephews have not much experience pc anyway and have no interest in the emails.

There is no other applications on it (which were not ' provided with Window XP Pro") for the moment, outside Works 8.5 and Windows Live nephews will have access to.

Norton Internet Security 2012, Norton Utilities, Norton go back 4.2 and control Parental Norton will be also created on this pc with Admin access only.

Otherwise, anyone here know of any 'other' app is similar to 8.5 Works that have the same characteristics of the task/project based - but without email - that I could use instead, which would continue to operate on an old XP pc?

I would greatly appreciate any ideas or advice from someone who wants to give it.

    Thank you!

    Bob

I can probably only partially help because I've never used Outlook or works.

Outlook Express is a part of XP, so it cannot be deleted, and probably, it takes less space than Norton.

Control Panel | Add/Remove programs. Add/Remove Windows components. Find Outlook Express and uncheck the box.

Control Panel | Add/Remove programs. Set Program Access and Defaults. Custom + down arrow | Select the option for Outlook 2003.

Start with that and see where you are.

  • Can I remove Outlook Express without losing my ability to email?

Outlook Express opens sometimes when I try to send copies of documents/pictures I scanned. I am operating windows XP with yahoo as my email address and Mozilla Firefox as internet.

    Hello!

On Windows XP, you can uninstall Outlook Express by going to

Go to control panel > add/remove program
In the left pane, click Add/Remove Windows components
    Uncheck in OutLook Express,
Click next and follow the instructions.,.

This will remove Outlook Express from your computer.  If you use your web browser to access your e-mail, then it will not affect your ability to send.

  • I want to download Windows Mail because it is a more updated from Outlook Express version, my computer has Outlook Express preinstalled on it when I bought it, but I've never used

I want to download Windows Mail as it is a more updated from Outlook Express version, my computer has Outlook Express preinstalled on it when I bought it but I have never used, it would be better to uninstall Outlook Express before you install Windows Mail or do I need to keep Outlook Express on my computer where Windows Mail needs to use some of the files I don't want these two e-mail on my computer programs as they would take so much space on my computer.

    original title: Windows Mail Download
Sure. You can download and install WLMail 2009 on your XP machine. I have no idea why you prefer on Outlook Express, but each to their own.

Outlook Express broke down.  With Windows XP SP3 can get detailed instructions on how to uninstall and reinstall Outlook with original disc?

OE gives an error message standard it is not correctly installed.  Its a remnant message from OE4 and is false.  You probably corruption with folders.dbx and you should remove it.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#7 then, after departures OE you must back up your messages and given the corruption, go to file | Identities and setup a new identity for you give a fresh message store and then you can use file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.
