  • Can I uninstall Windows Media Player 12 and reinstall in Windows 7 Professional

I found a fix you guys thank you earlier, but the corrupted files are still there as someone amended to follow something. Files that has not changed with the fix it guy are applications wmpshare 100 KB; wmpconfig 100KB; Wmplayer 161KO. There is no shortcut, but I go to the menu and click on it and takes me to the location of the files that is now different instead of the type pathname %.  Installers has complete control of the confidence of all this I can not change the permissions either. Cannot even remove these files and the interesting things are WMP is not listed in the menu of programs to alter repair uninstall so it cannot be uninstalled anyway. I disable it in functionality, but that it disabled just when I enabled it today, it was the same until the fix. And now I don't remember which arises or what I was doing, but he said a new version of WMP is installed on your computer, you cannot use an old facility to repair your... I forgot, but I took a snip of it:

This is what arises, I guess that when I clicked on the application of wmpconfig so I'm stuck in this media Bermuda triangle which is sync all my readers as devices to program flash cannot go down of their. And my HotSpot Android 4 g phone that I use as access point for internet. WMP which is synchronized to the library. All my flash drives now phone are synchronized in that library and it cannot play music. It grabs all my videos, photos and don't have the music. It's crazy.

So now I answer to my own question (s) it is impossible to uninstall

When I said there is a newer version already installed but I can't. Also up-to-date Flash Player service is stopped and does not let me start I guess because WMP is jacked or pirated, ha.  What can I do? I don't want to do a RESTORE of the SYSTEM cuz it's back in July 6, 2014.  Well I hope someone knows how to handle this cuz it affects a lot of other little things that are not so little for me.

    1. who is the edition of Windows that is installed on the computer?
    2. when exactly you get the error message?

There is no option to remove the Windows Media Player in Windows XP. First of all, we recommend to search for Media Player on XP.

Note: Windows XP Home Edition N and Windows XP Professional N editions do not have Windows Media Player. If you use one of these editions, you must download and install Windows Media Player.
See the Description of Windows XP Home Edition N and Windows XP Professional N

To download and install Windows Media Player, try the following steps:
    a. visit http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/windows-media-player
    b. download Windows for your Windows Media Player and install it.

Note: You will be prompted to validate your windows before you download the program. Support for Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2) ended on July 13, 2010.

  • Windows Media Player accidentally uninstalled windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

I accidentally uninstalled Windows Media Player from my Windows 7 Professional 64 bit software.  I had a chat with Microsoft's response line and they would help only if I purchased a support package for $99 or $149.  No thanks.  But they sent me a suggestion to look in Windows features to see if it has been disabled.  This isn't my problem.  The program is gone now - uninstalled, deleted registry entries.   I wonder if I get get that he downloaded from Microsoft no additional (or nominal cost) or elsewhere.  The extent of the "elsewhere" is concerned I googled until, until my fingers fell. No one seems to offer authentic. any help out there?

Last night I was able to watch movies and listen to music on my Media Player. Today, I can not open it... No matter how I try to open it, I get a message indicating the failure of execution of the server. I don't know what happened or what I'm supposed to do! Pleeeeease help!

    Hello

    1. what version of Windows operating system is installed on your computer?

    2. What is the error message or an exact error code?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps. It applies to Windows 7.

    Method 1:

Run the troubleshooting Windows Media Player settings tool and check if it helps.

Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player settings:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-settings-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

Re-register regsvr32.exe jscript.dll and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to re - register the .dll file:

    a. click Start, type cmd.exe in the search box and right-click on cmd.exe and click run as administrator.

    b. type the command: regsvr32.exe jscript.dll and press enter.

    c. open Windows Media Player and check whether the problem is resolved.

    Method 3:

Try to uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player and see if it helps.

    Step 1:

    Uninstalling Windows Media Player:

    a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.

    b. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".

    c. find multimedia and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.

    d. restart the computer

    Step 2:

    Reinstall Windows Media Player:

    a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.

    b. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".

    c. find the multimedia functions and place a check mark in front of the Windows Media Player.

  • Windows media Player library said that he corrupted how to fix this?

How can I fix my Media Player as it says I can't play some files as it is corrupt, I'm not very computer im still learning.i tried the troobleshooter but it is not solved the problem.

    Hello

    1. what operating system do you use?

Method1: I suggest you run the troubleshooter to library and check if that helps.

Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter

Method2: It would be possible that the files in the directory that stores Media Player may contain corrupted data. Go to the following directory and delete all the files in the folder. Test if the problem recurs.

    %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player

Note: Please save the contents of the directory first.

Method 3: Reinstall Windows Media Player

As a last resort, try to uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player.

This version fixes most of the problems of corruption of Windows Media Player.

Note that uninstalling Windows Media Player 12 also disables Windows Media Center because WMC uses WMP12 to its operation.

See the steps in the article.

Turn on or off Windows features
