How to uninstall and re-install Windows Media Player 12?

Help!

I had a windows 7 Packard Bell Pc load pretty much since when Windows 7 is released.

Media Player was always full of problems (mainly loading websites Web and any old logo in the directory of the image).

Now, he won't play same videos web based and said media player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled - sends you to the MS site but not to download.

I pay for BT HE advise and they had no way to remove and reinstall Media player 12.

I tried to download Media player 11 but it happens like no download for this operating system!

As I said... help!

Hello Dollar1973,

To develop on the post of Andrew, I would uninstall, and then reinstall Windows Media Player.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Windows Media Player:
Step 1.
Uninstalling Windows Media Player:
1. go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows willing or not.
2. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
3. search for multimedia and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.
4 restart the computer

Step 2.
Reinstall Windows Media Player:
1. go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows willing or not.
2. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
3. find the multimedia functions and place a check mark in front of the Windows Media Player.
4 restart the computer.

If you encounter problems with Windows Media Player, try using the troubleshooter to see if this fixes

the problem.

Open the troubleshooter of settings of Windows Media Player by clicking the theStart button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, typetroubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Click all, and then click the Windows Media Player settings.

I hope this helps.

    Hi patriciabrown,

Windows Media Format Runtime 11 is for people who want to use the latest Windows Media Player codecs without installing Windows Media Player 11.

Windows Media Format runtime is required for WMA (Windows Media Audio) and WMV (Windows Media Video). It is also recommended that you keep Windows player 11 and window media player 11 runtime.

You cannot install the Windows media player 12 on Windows XP because there is no standalone package out yet, and this is only available in the Windows 7 operating system.

    b. Once you have run the hotfix, restart the computer.
    c. install Windows Media Player 11 and check the result.
