Uninstalled 'Microsoft Digital Image' by mistake, how can I reinstall it?

I need to reinstall "Microsoft Digital Image" in my Windows XP SP3. Apparently my DVD players do not work without it. My Microsoft Digital Image software has been uninstalled by mistake. Certainly, anyone know how without reinstalling Windows?

Hello

It may be interesting to try to do a system restore to one hour before the beginning of the question.

This happens with the library or Publisher?

Have you installed or updated everything that may be in conflict?

  • HP Photosmart and Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 will not start/run correctly

I meet what I think, it's a security problem or software problem and I need help.

I have Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 on my computer and a week ago, when I clicked on the icon to start the program, a message popped up box:

    Run as

    Current user (nameofcomputer\nameofowner)

box with a check mark next to this statement: protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity

This option can prevent computer viruses from harming your computer or personal data, but selecting it might

cause the program to function properly.

My first thought was that the program had been corrupted by a virus or something, so I ran SpyZooka both Windows OneCare but they found nothing, and after that, I uninstalled Digital Image because I have the software and could re - install. I did all this and the program does not open and displays the above message. Then, he suddenly decided to let me do an edition on a picture but when I click on "save under" the entire program window has disappeared. That's what it is. I can get the program to open, but if I click on options such as you upload a photo or save an image, or if I click on 'Help' and try to look at the user manual, etc., the program immediately shuts down / disappears.

Today, I decided to use HP Photosmart for the first time (since I installed the printer last week), edit a few photos. The first time I clicked on the icon, the program window appeared and I would like to look at the features and watch the video tour. I got to download the updates I needed and when I tried to open HP Photosmart subsequently, the above message appears and the program would not open/run.

Help! What I did wrong to cause, it's a setting on my laptop? I don't know and all setting that I have authorized which would cause the message to appear with a check mark next to "protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity.

  • Microsoft Digital Image Suite anniversary edition Editor has encountered an error.

Original title: XP SP3/Digital Image Suite Anniversary Edition question

I use MS Digital Image Suite Anniversary Edition (DISAE) on a Windows XP SP3 computer.  I get this error when I try to open DISAE:

"Microsoft Digital Image Suite anniversary edition Publisher has encountered an error and needs to close."  The error report was not available.  Reinstallation of Microsoft Digital Image Suite anniversary edition Publisher can reactivate the error report feature. »

I tried to change settings in the start menu > right click on my computer > properties > advanced > Error Reporting > disable, enable (checked everything) does not.
I tried to reinstall DISAE nothing works.  I tried to uninstall, reinstall, AND REINSTALL AGAIN without success.
Has anyone ever got this message of particular error and, if so, what have you done about it; so that the DISAE open reliably EVERY TIME?  Thank you.

Hi Ganesh, thanks for trying.  I tried a different approach.  I used a program uninstaller - Revo Uninstaller - completely uninstall MS DISAE, including all registry entries associated with it could find.  Then I reinstalled DISAE.  This seems to have fixed the problem, so maybe it was a registry entry that program uninstaller left behind.

I still don't know why the EULA appears in Japanese characters... but if the program works, I guess it doesn't matter.
Thank you very much for trying to help me solve the problem, and I'm sorry it took so long to reply to your reply.
  • Microsoft Digital Imaging Anniversary Edition-could not remove photos from the digital image library

    Microsoft Digital Imaging Anniversary Edition

I have problems with digital imaging.  Never been wrong before, so I'm puzzled!  Recently added pix from CD to digital photo Image file picked up but did not display the photos on the page of digital image library - they come just under the icon standard w/o a view of the pix.  I tried to delete these files where the pix would not come to the top of the digital image.  Digital image would not remove them.  I deleted the pix of the computer files.  Digital image still would not remove the files in the library. I went into the Control Panel, I removed & reinstalled the Digital Image, but all files keep coming back.  Digital Imaging tells me I have 4000 photos stored there!  If I do, where are they?  I can't find them!   Is there something else I can do?

I use Windows XP.  I've seen Info for Vista, but I need it for XP.

The MS Digital Image Library maintains a proprietary database
named Pictures.pd3 who is not deleted when the program is
    uninstalled/reinstalled.

If you rename Pictures.pd3 to Pictures.OLD... the next time you
Open the library, it will be because it was the first opening.

Windows XP... the Pictures.pd3 database file is located at:

    C:\Documents and Settings\.
    Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\
    POD\Pictures.Pd3

If you can't find the file, open a file and
Reach... Tools / Folder Options / View tab on...
Tick... Display the hidden files and folders / apply / OK.

I'm trying to uninstall Verizon's VZ Access Manager.  I get "invalid UNINSTALL Uninstall Wise. LOG file.  How can I get this off for Verizon can help me to get the new drivers installed?

    Hello retabox, welcome.

It would seem that the installer is corrupted. I recommend trying to use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to force - to remove the application. Try this:
    2. click on the download link in the middle of the page
    3. save the file to your desktop or just click Run the installation of the application
    4. once the application is installed, open the utility. The utility must be located in the menu START under (START > programs > Windows Installer...)
    5. in the utility, find the application you want to uninstall, and then click the button 'delete' below
    6. once removed, restart the computer and see if you can reinstall the application
Let us know if it works,
    Thank you!

  • Microsoft Digital Image Suite

I am successfully using Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10 with Vista. I used this for many years and do not want to give it up, but maybe need to buy the new computer. Is there a there editing program that compares in quality and ease of use that works with windows 7? I tried a PSE and very hard to do all the things that are a snap with picture Pro.  Help!

Some users of Windows 7 seem to have success installing and
running Microsoft Photo Suite Edition and other are not. Best bet would be
be to give it a try.

The latest version of 'Digital Image Suite 2006 Anniversary Edition'
would probably be the best chance.

In my opinion... There is no digital image editing software equal
for Microsoft Picture It! / Digital Image line of products.

If you want to experiment with other programs... What follows
review site can offer some possibilities... (I think that they all offer
    trial versions):
