Unknow administrator created, whereby I lost my administrative privileges

Original title: Unknow administrator created,.

I have an account administrator created without my knowledge in the computer, thanks to which I lost my administrative privileges. When I log in in safe mode, I see the administrative account and my account. But when I log into normal account I can't and it takes me directly on the desktop. In normal mode, I can not see the information system and cannot see the control panel. An error message appears and says "please contact your system administrator. But when I log in safe mode and the account administrator I can see table control and information system. I want to get my loss of administrative privileges. Please do what is necessary...

First of all, make sure that you really have lost your administrator privileges.

Open a command prompt window:

Start-> Run-> "cmd".

then enter the command:

net localgroup administrators

This will give you a list of all users with administrator privileges.  If you open a session name is on the list, then you do not have administrative privileges and your problem is probably a corrupt user profile.  If it is not on the list, you can put it back on by opening a session as administrator (in SafeMode as before), bring up the command prompt window, then type in the command:

net localgroup administrators username / add

where you replace "username" with your own username to login.  This will add you back as an administrator.

If your problem was a damaged user profile, try the following:

Rarely need to log on as an administrator and have to go back to the computer just to press a button before it continued its long initialization has been frustrating. Want to remove the log on option user I did it via the Control Panel [don't know how, now!] so now I can turn it on and let it start in his own good time without further interaction from me, which is great.

    Here you go:

    1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
    3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
    4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
    5. Select 'Repair' when prompted.
    6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    7. Configure Windows to a point before you made the change.
    8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

  • Error "you don't have administrative privileges.

I write on behalf of a client. Could not load the software on his computer because it receives the error message. Already tried going to user accounts to correct without result. Help, please.

    Thank you.

Don't read too much into this error.  When a program installs, please put the files in certain directories and add entries in the system registry.  If for some reason, she finds that he can not create a file or registry entry it often over-simplistically assume that it is because you are not an administrator user and hot flashes to the top of this error.  Reality and administrator may be denied the privilege to directories and records like any other user.  This can occur due to malware or a too aggressive security program or a corrupted file system.  If I was in your position, I would first like to run a "chkdsk /f" and if that did not help, run the freeware "Process Monitor" and are trying to determine which directory or registry did not allow changes that are needed.  Not for the hearts-of-heart, this program can easily provide the information overload.

The quick check to see if you have administrator privileges is to right-click on 'start '.  If "Open All Users" is one of the options that are displayed in the window, then you have administrator privileges.

  • Vista administrator privileges is FUBAR, can help you with suggestions.

OK, so here is the story.

I have a homemade PC for my teenagers. It became slow and bogged down
down (they really loaded it with garbage)... then I copied off
important documents and did a clean install with Windows Vista Edition basic family.

I created my daughter as the only user (by default).

After that all updates and things were running, they decided
that they both wanted to separate accounts, no problem.

So I made a user for my son, so I thought I better protect this PC a
little and made myself a user account as well.

I then used my administrator account by default girls to change user
parameters and give me administrator privileges.

I then changed its settings to remove administrator privileges.

Restart and voila, all together, no?

    Evil.

The system only allows me to perform administrator functions
When you are connected to my user account, I have no idea why.

The worst thing is that it also does not allow my daughters user account
    to have an Administrator privelages.

Basically, he couldn't give me admin privelages and yet correctly
    removed his admin privelages.

Therefore, I can't change anything to the computer, cannot be installed
programs, cannot change all settings, can not update users...

He won't let me do anything, even if I right click Run as
Administrator (request a password that does not work using either
    my girls or mine)

I can not install any programs, as it still does administrator password
the box pop up asking for a password has no field to enter a.

I returned and removed the passwords of all users.

Same problem, it is always ask password when you try to install
any software or change system settings.

It won't let me even go back to a restore point, because it requires a password.

I tried to access the command prompt and enter what is hidden
    files of the administrator.

    Guess what?

It's true, that it won't let me activate it by one of the user logons
as said you must have administrator privileges and none of
    make them.

OK fine, I give up, somehow, I screwed here, to take the pain
and re-install and go through the hours of reupdating...

Not so fast, now I found another problem.

When the computer reboots, the computer sees the keyboard (USB) up to the
    Windows is running.

Without recognizing the keyboard, I can't interrupt the boot sequence
to tell it to boot from the CD/DVD drive.

I am able to enter the BIOS to tell him to just boot from the
the CD/DVD drive, but it still gives me the option of Vista and the timer starts

and can not be interrupted as it recognizes not all keyboard commands.

I found an old USB adapter to PC I had and tried to connect the
keyboard to that instead of a USB key.

It doesn't always recognize the keyboard during the initial startup sequence.

I tried 3 keyboards in all USB slots, same story, is not
recognize the keyboard, so I can't interrupt the boot upward to install
    of the disc.

If I let him continue it starts very well Windows Vista and all the
    devices work fine.

It won't just not let me do the administrative tasks at all.

    Talk about uptight.

I can not install anything, I can't change anything, and now I can't
    even reinstalling Vista.

Tell me please that someone has a suggestion that is not too
    technically difficult.

I need your help if you guessed it!

Well nothing of such things seems to work, but I got the chance of a solution that I forgot.

I went back into the BIOS and found that USB keyboard and USB mouse have been disabled, for this is why the keyboard would not work during the boot manager.

I went and endabled them and then the keyboard would work to let me interrupt the boot upward.

    Now, here's something.

When I booted in safe mode it put the 'hidden' on the desktop administrator account.

I have connected to this administrator account and immediately changed each administrator user account.

Restarted in normal mode and my problem was solved!

Thanks for the help, hope this answer helps others.

  • Logged on as administrator but install wizzard States that I don't have administrative privileges?

    Hi all

I'm not too technical with computers, but I know enough to get. I am trying to install a printer driver on my PC when an error appears stating "this software cannot be installed using the command" run under... " »... Log out and log in using an account with administrator privileges.

I only had a user account that I had all the necessary privileges. I was always able to install programs in the past. However, when he has this problem, I used the command cmd and created a new user from the administrator, logged in as this and tried to reinstall the driver. I had the same error message. Help, please?

    Hi Jordanderve,

    1. What is the brand and model of the printer?

Try these steps and check the result.

Step 1: Force the driver to install as administrator
    a. right click on the printer driver installation file, and then click Properties.
    b. click on the Compatibility tab.
    c. under "Privilege level" place a check on "run this program as an administrator".
    d. click ok to apply the changes.
    e. open the configuration file and install it.

See How to use the control account (UAC) in Windows Vista

Check if the printer is compatible with Windows Vista. Some users have solved this problem by running the driver in Windows XP compatibility mode.

Step 2: Case of failure of step 1, then try to run the driver in compatibility mode
    a. see make older programs run in this version of Windows
    b. check if the problem persists.

  • CANNOT PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE PRIVILEGE TO THE ACCOUNT

    HI GUYS

I REINSTALLLED MY WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM WITH THE HELP OF MY RECOVERY DISK. WINDOWS CREATES A DEFAULT ACCOUNT WITH ADMINISTRATIVE PRIVILEGES. BUT WHENVER I DOWNLOAD SOMETHING ON MY PC, I SAID THAT YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PRIVELDGES TO PERFORM THIS ACTION. EVEN WINDOWS IS UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE, IT CITIES EVEN REASON.

PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS ISSUE.

Go to start / Control Panel / user accounts and check that it is said administrator under the account name that you use.  If this is not the case, he is not an administrator account.  See if itwill allow you to click on manage other accounts (but can refuse you because you are not an administrator).  If you can find any account that said administrator under the name.  This is the account that you need to connect to make the necessary changes.

If you have no other Admniistrator accounts on your system, enable the Hidden Administrator Account (HAA) using http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?&lang=en&cr=US&guid=&sloc=en-us&dg=microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords&p=1&tid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055&mid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055.  If you forgot the password or all the passwords you use usually do not work, try anything as long as it's probably what you (or seller) did during the installation.  Use this account to replace the other administrator account and also to create a second account administrator in case of emergency.  Once that is done, don't forget to disable the HAA to save it in case it is necessary once again and for safety reasons (since people often try to hack into systems using this account).  Do NOT use the HAA as your administrator account because if you lose the only administrator on the system account or it is damaged again, then you're watered.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • B2375dfw administrator privileges

I have a Dell B2375dfw all-in-one mono printer. The printer requires me to connect to do several things on the printer itself. This is a printer at home - I wish I could remove the connection.

I created a connection with custom menus and other things, but this new connection does not have administrator privileges (on the printer - not a connection of the window). Is it possible to assign administrator privileges to a user account?

I hope you stick with it. I am very satisfied with the printer. It's only two problems are poor documentation and a bunch of features are restricted to the administrator account. As you have discovered there is no way to know how to configure the administrator account.

I found a random Bulletin Board through Google that explains this. Sorry I can't give credit to the original source.

  • Windows 7 Admin account does not have administrator privileges?

    Hey guys,.

I'm having a very strange problem here. Everything I do on my computer needs now administrative privileges, otherwise it will not work properly. I'm unable to open iTunes without them because it says that it cannot access the program folder, but if I open it with privileges, it works perfectly. Whenever I try to pin a program to the taskbar, clicking on the "Pin to taskbar" button does nothing. Again right click on the shortcut and select Pin to Taskbar does not work. I can't download any type of files on Google Chrome; nothing happens when I try to record anything.  Chrome is also impossible to record all new cookies as well, and I am also unable to watch Netflix instant Streaming due to a Silverlight issue. Flash work, however.  Whenever I try to delete all files, or move files, in my "Documents" folder, he said: "you have to give administrator privileges... blah blah blah." It worked perfectly when I got the computer, but it seemed just not to work a few weeks ago.

I have no idea of reversing what is happening on any any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi ImBakinBacon,

    1. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    Method 1:

This can occur if the administrator account is corrupted.

You can try to create a new administrator account and check.

    Create a user account

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

    Method 2:

If you are unable to create user account, thenyou, try to disable user account control and check if it helps:

    Step 1:

Disable UAC (User Account Control) and check the result

See how can I change the behavior of user account control by using the slider? :

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/how-do-I-change-the-behavior-of-user-account-control-by-using-the-slider

Note: You must restart your computer when you enable or disable UAC. Change levels of notification does not require that you restart your computer.

    Step 2:

You can also try setting the default Administrator account and check if the problem occurs.

    a. click the Start button, then click all programs followed by accessories

    b. in the menu accessories, click right on the command line option and select'Run as Administrator "."

    c. If you have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, you will be asked for permission before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    d. in the command prompt window, type the command net user administrator / Active: Yes and press ENTER.

    e. close the elevated command prompt.

    f. log (in the Start Menu) and you will see your new administrator integrated next to your current account.

    g. click the photo icon display built-in Administrator account and connect to it.

    Step 3:

If you are not facing any issue, then try to create a new user account and verify.

    Check out the link:

    Fix a corrupted user profile:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

If the problem is resolved, then try to disable the default Administrator of the following account:

NET user administrator / active: No.

Also turn on user account control.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • I have administrator privileges, but when I run CHKDSK it says access denied due to insufficient privileges.

I have administrator privileges, but when I run CHKDSK it says access denied due to insufficient privileges. You have to invoke this utility in elevated mode.

    How can I fix it?

    Hello

    1. what prompted to run chkdsk on your computer?

To work with this problem, refer to these methods.

    Method 1:

I suggest that you disable the antivirus software temporarily and try to run chkdsk on your computer.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

    Warning:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2:

You can check disk errors using the command-line of the system recovery options in Windows 7.

What are the system recovery options in Windows 7?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7

To open the System Recovery Options, see the section: to open the menu system on your computer Recovery Options

Important: when running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

    Check if it helps.

  • I am administrator still needs administrative privileges to a game? Didn't happen until 2 weeks ago.

I'm the only account on my system using Win7 Home Premium and up to 2 weeks ago, I had no problem playing a game that I have enjoyed for years. Now, all of a sudden I can not open the game because I don't have administrator privileges, my account is an administrator account.

I also have additional connection, one administrator called accounts and a computer ASP.NET account. None of them were created by me and even a full Win7 reinstall has not solved the problem. I can't remove the administrator account.

Some say that an update of Windows is responsible for other accounts are corrupt.

I want to know why I was stripped of administrator privileges that I appreciated until 2 weeks ago, I'm not the only one this happens too. Why administrator is now an account when connecting?

With Windows, since 1995, but I'm more upset by this development.

    SUCCESS!

I formatted the partition on my system using the installation of Win 7 disk, using the Advanced setting.
I completely reinstalled my Windows 7 Home Premium.
I have disabled the automatic updates of Windows.
I installed my security software and then activated the Internet connection.
I then installed all the drivers disc.
    I manually installed Directx.
I installed browsers and home pages.
I always kept off automatic Windows updates.
I installed again all programs games that me were previously rejected due to no administrator privileges.

Everything works, I don't have any warning of administrator privilege. There is no administrator account on connect.

I can run my system with full administrator privileges and play the games I want to play.

This lack of privilege to administrator and an administrator account sudden appearance are down to a Microsoft Windows Update, me was told by a specialist with 40 years of experience and more.
All I've done is done manually.
