My Windows Media Player is played, but it does not appear on the screen... it looks like its current running in the desktop background? Displays tasks on the bar but the screen? I can right click on the far right of my office and the WMP menu appears, but no picture will appear.

    Hi Rosieand7,

It looks like the Windows media player is in Mini Player mode.

Mini Player mode allows you to minimize the player to the Windows task bar, while having access to playback controls and the ability to view visualizations and information about the currently playing item.

In the mini Player, click anywhere in the drive that is not used as a button or volume control. The Player returns to the way it was before.

  • Windows media player music disappears reappears does not recognize files

Can someone help me?  I have a problem with the recognition of music files (MP3, WMA, etc.) in Windows Media Player 12 (version 12.0.7601.17514).  I'm on Windows 7, 64-bit, on my computer tower to my main hard drive. I store my media (mainly), MS Office, PDF, and other various files on disc 2 of the secondary, internal size TB.  I have an external USB hard drive enclosure I can insert my player with internal 2 TB.  This allows me to take my multimedia files with me on vacation at home.  I can use this external box to read the media on other people's computers files, when I go on vacation.  When I put the internal drive in the external case in media players, the files appear, but do not work.  Their Player Windows Media displays a red "X" next to a lot of music album files and, when these red "Xs" appear, they appear in a cluster through the album of music together.  On my home computer, these Reds 'Xs' do not appear!  Another thing, some of the albums mysteriously disappear and reappear weeks later.  However, some of the files, when I play, his corrupt and static as in some places.  Sometimes the music files will play at Midway until it cuts and a red 'X' appears.  What happens here?

  • Help! Is there a link for Windows Media Center download on Windows XP?

    URGENT! ***************HELP!!!!! ******************URGENT!!!!!!!!!!! Help! ******************URGENT***********************************!!!!!!!

I JUST GOT A SECOND HAND DESKTOP COMPUTER. UNFORTUNETLY ITS RUNNING WINDOWS XP!

MY QUESTION IS THIS: WHY DIDN'T IT INCLUDES WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER, CENTER OF BUT NOT PLAYER?

ALSO: WHY ISN'T THERE A DOWNLOAD FOR THIS FOR WINDOWS XP?

SOMEONE HAS A LINK ANY TYPE OF LINK TO GO TO THAT CAN I DOWNLOAD WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER?

SOMEONE DID IT THE WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER ON A CD THAT THEY WOULD BE WILLING TO SEND ME A COPY? I WANT TO

TO RUN NETFLIX ON THIS COMPUTER, BUT CAN'T WITHOUT WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER, NOT TRUE?

CAN I RUN NETFLIX WITHOUT WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER? I HAVE THIS HUGE FLAT SCREEN THAT COMES WITH THAT OLD PIECE OF JUNK, SO I COULD WATCH MOVIES, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF I NEED MEDIA CENTER?

TURN ON ALL IS ALL THE COMPUTER GEEKS I LOVE YA ALL BECAUSE YOUR SO SMART SO TELL ME QUICKLY WHAT OH WHAT OH WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO?

!!!!! URGENT! ***************HELP!!!!! ******************URGENT!!!!!!!!!!! Help! ******************URGENT***********************************!!!!!!!

First of all, there is not - and has never been - anywhere to download a legal copy of any version of Windows XP...

Second, Windows XP Media Center Edition was available as a pre-installed OEM operating system (for example, Dell, HP, Gateway, etc.).  If you wanted a computer with MCE, you should have bought one with MCE.  In the unlikely case where your second-hand computer comes from an OEM and it came originally with MCE (look at the sticker on the box), it is possible, at a distance, the same manufacturer can provide the installation media necessary for a price.

If the video card in the computer is able to drive the "big flat screen", then you have nothing else (assuming that the computer meets other material).  See http://www.ehow.com/info_8204776_needed-netflix-streaming-work.html and http://www.ehow.com/how_7561774_stream-netflix.html

When I go to my music using windows Explorer, it shows a folder named unknown artists with 7 subfolders.

When I bring the windows media player, it displays only an album with an unknown artist.

When I open one of these subfolders, writing the name of the artist, but all the tracks have been listed as track 1, track 2, track... in the library, that I went to this artist's album. He entered all the information correctly. When I clicked open the location of the file that shows the location of the albums as one of the subfolders under unknow artist and all tracks as track 1...

so, how did we can list everything correctly in the library but point to incorrect information?

    Hello

What are the file format of the files shown in the subfolders of the library?

    Follow these methods.

    b. for Windows Vista: click Start, click run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player , and then click OK.

    d. restart Windows Media Player.

    Step 2

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

Also note before performing the steps above, I suggest to save the songs and try the steps above.

    Method 2:

If the steps above do not resolve the problem, you can try to disable Windows Media player and then enable the feature that is as good as the uninstall and put it back. Follow the steps below to do the same.

To enable or disable the Window Media Player, follow these steps:

  • How to remove windows media player does not exist unknown album

Recently, after a new cd and my downloads directory staff moving in my personal music directory, Windows Media Player shows a nonexistent unknown album, that I can't remove.  How can I get rid of him?  There is no actual data or location.  I tried to remove all records of use of WMP, but the unknown album no-while is still there.  I have even uninstalled/reinstalled WMP from Windows 7 functionality, but the unknown album no-while is still there.  In addition, it causes WMP to constantly try to identify, using a lot of my bandwidth of internet connection.  Is this a Bug in WMP?  Or would it be a new computer virus (for me)?

    Jerry,

    Please, this brand as Ansered!

    Run "MicrosoftFixit.WinMediaPlayer.FISC.134269373628288824.1.1.Run.exe" solved the problem.

  • Windows Media Player does not display of MicroSD songs album art

Summer love the Surface Pro offer functions since I got the 9 February, but lately, I've been a few software/hardware problems here and there. One of these issues is with Windows 8 itself. Go to a 500 GB SSHD in my old laptop with a 128 GB SSD in the Surface Pro forced me to move no delicate libraries or all the files on a 64 GB MicroSD card; No delicate part of these things is my music/iTunes library.

After that, I then open Windows Media Player and noticed that it lacked all the artworks of my music organized itunes album in library view. Thinking it was just Windows Media Player still missing support for .m4a files (even if the file Explorer supports them clearly), I tried to add the album art, and it made no difference. Then it crossed my mind that maybe its Windows Media Player that does not support display cover from a disk full out of the primary. So I have moved the library to its default location, open Windows Media Player and it shows ALL of my music organized itunes album artwork.
Move back to the new MicroSD is back to square 1; Windows Media Player is not display Album art. All geek/hacker knows a fix for this? I am confident in the modification of ANY part of the file system on my computer, including the registry. Thanks in advance.

This looks like a problem of indexing. Windows just indexes not removable media by default particularly well. http://digitalmediaphile.com/index.php/2012/11/02/how-to-use-Windows-8-RT-apps-libraries-and-removable-media/ might help.

    Hello

You might have items in your library in Windows Media Player that are missing or incorrect information to the media, such as the titles of the songs, track numbers, artist names, album, or genre. Incorrect information can be added when you ripped the tracks from the CD or because you used another program to rip your CDs.
