Unknown device after the upgrade to windows 8
I don't know if it's a Windows problem or a problem of HP. HP says windows. But in any case, I have a HP Pavillion M7 nine 1015dx notebook pc and I just upgraded to windows 7 to Windows 8 do a clean install. After you have installed all the appropriate drivers update my site of PC makers, I have an "unknown device" in Device Manager that I can't find a driver for. I tried several different avenues to get a driver for this thing that I don't know what it is. The hardware Id are:
ACPI\VEN_HPQ & DEV_6001
ACPI\HPQ6001
* HPQ6001
I contacted HP support and they say it's a Windows problem. Also I have when I activate secure boot and try to start I get a BSOD immediately. I'm not sure but I think that these two problems are related. Any help is very appreciated.
Thank you

Volume controls on the keyboard after the upgrade to Windows 8
I have a Touchsmart 520-1070 with the mouse and keyboard without wire factory. After the upgrade to WIndows 8, the volume controls no longer work. I tried the Recovery Manager to reinstall the keyboard drivers, but there is no driver keyboard under hardware drivers.
In the following device manager are listed under keyboards:
HID keyboard device
Keyboard 109 MCIR Microsoft eHome
Keyboard MCIR Microsoft eHome
Microsoft eHome key remove control Keayboard
PS/2 standard keyboard
Any report that they are installed and are working correctly and that the drivers are up to date.
Has anyone else seen or solved this problem with a Touchsmart computer?
The instructions below were provided by HP support. This has restored the function on the keyboard volume controls. The referenced below drivers are drivers IDT high definition Audio Device. I am not sure that it was necessary to reinstall the audio drivers. It can only had to remove the USB dongle and back to restore the functionality of the button. Note: the USB dongle is located behind the VESA Panel to the back of the PC. No tools are required and the dongle can be removed and replaced without shutting down the PC. VESA panel removal requires a bit of a steady hand, pulling the lip which is close to the connections on the rear panel.
Instructions received from HP:
Please go to the following link and check the "return of the system", article #7 is the USB dongle:

After you have reinstalled the receiver, please download and install the following driver:

HP Photosmart C6280: cannot print on C6280 wireless after the upgrade to Windows 10

Hi @Ron9871,
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!
I see that you are unable to get your printer HP Photosmart C6280 wireless printing. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.
I would like to try the steps in this guide, "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 10).
If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.
- Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note: the IPV4 IP.
- Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
- Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
- Select Manual IP.
- Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
- Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
- Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
- Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
- Click on apply.
Please restart the router, the printer and the computer in this sequence.
If you're still having problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)
- Use the File Checker system to repair missing or corrupted system files. It's always a good idea to back up your data before proceeding.
- File system check (SFC) analysis and repair system files & DISM to fix things that are not SFC.
You can try to change your WSD printer port by a Standard TCP/IP port.
To do this, you will need your current IP address printers. The Network Setup page shows the parameters of network for the product. To print this page; Press the button of network () on the control panel of the product.

Laptop Compaq CQ58: LAN Ethernet does not work after the upgrade to windows 8.1
After the upgrade of Windows 8 to 8.1, my Ethernet LAN is no longer in effect. Wireless LAN connectivity is OK. I run the HP Support Assistant and downloaded the drivers for 8.1. Hovever, I don't see a listed 8.1 for the LAN Ethernet driver.
It seems that you encounter the same problem, I did when I ran the free preview of the W10. I had this error on the card reader. I have no idea how to solve this problem.
Is there is no ethernet controller needing drivers in Device Manager, then it is probably the realtek lan adapter that has the number 12 of the code, or it is part of the motherboard that controls the ethernet adapter.
If you need Atheros bluetooth driver, then this is probably the one you need.
http://h20565.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?swItemId=ob_127984_1
Unfortunately, I won't be able to help you with question 12 code or ethernet.
IMO, they are insoluble.

This problem started immediately after the upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) to Windows Vista Ultimate (32 bit). Again, I want to remind that I never had this problem before installing Windows 7.
-After a reboot, I am presented with the impossible to connect the network indicator (yellow triangle with!) in the task bar. (It was how I was welcomed after the installation of Windows 7 is said by the way).
-The only way I found to regain connectivity is to uninstall and reinstall the network via the device manager card, date at which the computer always successfully connects and remains connected until the next reboot.

HDR and Panorama fail after the upgrade to Windows 10
After the upgrade to Windows 10, trying to merge pictures gives the message "unknown error occurred". After the first attempt, I've updated my driver graphic card, and HDR worked. But the next time, the error message reappears, and this has been consistent - if the graphics card is engaged or disabled! My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 750 M.
The problem turned out to be unrelated to Windows 10. For reasons I can't understand, it is limited to one set of photos taken on a single morning. So, no problems with Windows 10.

FN keys do not work after the upgrade to Windows 10
Why the FN keyboard does not work after upgrade to Windows 10?
FN keys are controlled by utilities and special tools of Toshiba. Usually after the upgrade to Windows 10, the parts of the pre-installed Toshiba software must be upgraded to version compatible and support Windows 10...
You have not provided information on the laptop model so I can't say with certainty if your unit is 10 Windows supported or not...

Problem with a keyboard key of T440 after the upgrade to Windows 10
Hello world
I have a Brazilian keyboard layout (ABNT2) on my T440 and I am facing a problem after the upgrade to Windows 10. The new version of Windows recognizes this key:
As long as the "CTRL on the right" (commom on other layouts).
Everyone was faced with a similar problem or have any clues as to what might solve this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Felipe
Solved.
Do more research, I fount out is an old bug with Lenovo's Thinkpad laptops with this Brazilian keyboard.
If you are facing the same problem, use this registry tweak and the problem is solved:

(the file name indicates "win7" but it also works for Windows 10)

After the upgrade to windows 7, Warcraft3, Battlefield Viet Nam cannot run in 4:3 screen but 16:9... my East of 1366 X 768, so the games are run with black screen on the left and right sides... What can I do? He has run well in Vista =]
1366 x 768 is the strangest resolution that I've ever heard of. Your video card drivers helped "keep the proportions" and decided to not to stretch imagine because I assume that you can't choose this exact resolution in the game. If your monitor has an overdrive video or image format option, you can enable or disable that or if you have a NVidia card, you can change the picture format option in the properties of the video card.
If you have an ATI card, then you're stuck with a proportional image: P

My laptop camera image on the upside after the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
I have a laptop Asus G50Vt - X 1, which is a 64-bit computer. It had Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit installed on it and the unit worked properly with him. I ran the update of Windows 7 Advisory on this matter and he said I could upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit. After the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit the images from the camera are all upside. I contacted Asus about the problem and they sent me the drivers updated, but the images are still upside down. Pourrait Windows 7 cause this problem as I know that it worked fine under Vista?
I also noticed that my dvd/cd player and external hard drives don't stop the execution after that I have quit an application. When this happens, I can't eject the cd or remove the drive from the computer.
