Try to install an upgrade, and I get an error code 80070652.  When I tried to solve the problem, I couldn't get an answer to what was the code.  More importantly, how can I solve this problem?

What is said for the most part.  I am running Vista Home Premium x 64 on a machine rather top of range (Q9550 processor, 16 GB DDR2-800 RAM, fast hard drives 1.5 TB each, etc.) -specs factory, not overclocking, or something like that.  When I try to install the updates, Windows meets an 'unknown error' (Code 6B 7).  It usually happens when he tried to update .NET - and that's why I can't use Windows Live Messenger or all the other Windows Live programs, in addition to a lot of third party programs.

I am really lost and don't know what to do.  I asked before and told to uninstall and reinstall all the old versions of the .NET, but also warned that the process was dangerous and could cause trouble.

  • Cannot install 2 important updates - unknown error: Code 80070026 and Code 26

For months now, I have tried to run updates for Vista Windows, but I get these two error codes. I thought I might have a virus that my antivirus regularly had not taken, I went to http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm and performed a full scan. There are several issues, but they have been resolved. However, I can not always install updates and I get the same error codes. Any help?

    Hi Sylvirblu,

Thank you for visiting Windows Vista Microsoft answers forum.

Please let us know about the updates are available for download and the failure with the error code 80070026.

I will suggest that you turn off the Antivirus software that is running on the computer and put the computer in a clean boot environment and then try to run the Windows updates, as in this case seems to be a conflict of third party software.

To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps:

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If your problem is resolved, follow the procedure to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796
In addition, refer to the section on how to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode

Please let us know if it helps.

    Thank you and best regards,
    David

  • Laptop hardware failure, no bios, on Presario CQ61 unknown error code

    Hello

I have a presario CQ61-417SA, a little more than two years. Work is to put and received persistent of the flashing lights on the locking caps and num lock keys only. The lights flash continuously and therefore does not seem to correspond with any one of the error codes provided by the HP support pages.

    I tried:

Check the fans for excessive heat (seems normal)

Remove the RAM and swap ram slot positions

Replace the RAM with new ram

Remove and re insert a hard disk to see if any changes

Attempted to reboot the system BIOS using the windows + B key as is described in the hp support no chance

Remove the WIFI to achieve was not causing problems

Replace the battery of the BIOS with a working version

Checked the laptop computer charger with a multi meter, is perfect

Tried with and without the battery to ensure this causing problems wasent

However I still not got lucky. Im a little annoyed about how the laptop isn't really that old and that the guarantee is over, so there is not much I can do without having to pay a lot of money.

I took a few laptops out and so im happy to do things myself, and would appreciate any guidance or advice you may have.

    Thanks for your time

    Ben

Sorry for not updating. I found the problem.

The heat sink had never touched the gpu and there seems to be one problem with other laptops hp and compaq (and other laptop manufacturers). Thermal paste had not yet touched the gpu, it looked fresh as if it had been the same day. I suppose therefore that solder joints had melted from the heat.

The way I fixed it is probably not recommended by HP (I don't think anyone should really do, its dangerous, and you should really buy a new motherboard). I took all of the motherboard all stickers, battery, whatever it is removable. Then put in the oven at 200 ° c for 8 min let weld refuses or get a proffessional do it with a real soldering tool. You then put a piece of copper between the radiator and the gpu to make it work. (I have this and its broke again) so the time to get a new laptop.

I think this question shows terrible production and control of this piece of hardware that have produced as his obvious fault that they should do something to fix in new laptops and the HP and compensate its customers with laptops like mine repair parts that now have to buy a new because of the guarantee short and overpriced.

  • unknown error code: B8302332

What does the B8302332 error code? The printer is Photosmart C8180 All-in-one. I often find this code on the screen of the printer in the morning when I go to turn it on. Close a normal night before using the power button on front. Power cord for printer is connected. Error seems to be correlated with the time. No heat in the room during the night. Error occurs during colder temperatures. See not in summer.

    Steven

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for the quick response! It's a shame, it's to die because you certainly seem to like the printer, but I hope as long as it's not too cold it will continue to work for you

I just wanted to ask, if she agrees with you, to help others who may have a similar problem, would you be able to score the second post in our thread here as an acceptable Solution? That way if others have the same error codes that they will be able to view the same information that I provide to you!

Once again thanks for your time, have a great day Steven!
