Unknown error, Photoshop unusable

Hey everybody,

I've been using Photoshop for a long time, with never a major problem or screw to the top of the system, but today I met a wall that photoshop back unusable.

In trying to create, open, or edit an existing document, I am faced with this (attached image)

If I try to open a file, it immediately scrambles the contents of the page in one incredibly beautiful, yet certainly the unwanted fragments spectrum colored and does not have the tools to operate in any way.

Please help me solve this problem!

Not turning off"use graphics processor" in the Performance preference and restarting Photoshop have a bearing on the issue.

Are Photoshop and OS fully updated?

What did you do for troubleshooting so far?

Restoration of preferences after checking all the presets custom like stocks, models, brushes etc. have been saved can be a good starting point:

I could be wrong, but it seems you need to do an animated gif.

If you publish it on the internet, you can dramatically reduce the pixel dimensions.

The image of your screenshot is 4032 x 3024 pixel and 55 megabytes.

I've never done a gif animated myself, but I know that save for Web is not designed to process large files.

So try to reduce the dimensions in pixels of your file to something sensible, as 800 pixels wide, and then try again.

If this help, try to delete the record of web preferences - you will find the location on this page: functions of Photoshop CS6, names, places preference file (must do with the Finder and with closed Photosop)

  • Premiere Pro CC 2015 export: unknown error when using many large jpegs

    Hello

This is something that I remember reading about in older versions of first, but in the 2015 version, this always seems to happen. It is therefore more than a report bug to a question, because I have a workaround for it. If this isn't the right place to present this kind of info, please let me know.

Scenario: I create a video project and import a large number of large JPEG images taken by a digital camera (12-20 Megapixel, 50 + photos).

To help each other in the sequence and then try to export the video as file causes an unknown error during export times randomly, sometimes at the beginning, sometimes in the Middle, no mater which exit do format, bitrate, settings, etc.

How I solved the problem: I resized pictures on about 4 million pixels - and viola - everything travels very well.

I also noticed, that when the project contains only a few large images, it can work also still very good export, but if there are more than a few, the error starts occurring.

Don't know which version of CC 2015 I used, I can check later.

I hope this feedback is helpful for you guys

Edit: the machined used is a quad core Xeon, 16 GB of RAM, nVidia GTX750, SSD + 2x1To Raid0

It was never recommended to use ginormous stills in first. A batch resize in Photoshop or IrFanView for instance would take a few seconds and certainly ease the burden on your software and your hardware.

    Thank you

  • Lightroom CC 2015.5 - Photomerge "unknown error occurred".

In preface, I know there were a few topics on this subject posted here in the past. I still find them useful advice.

    Thus, on the issue...

    My specs:

    Intel i7 3770 k

    Card mother Sabertooth Z77

    Corsair 32 GB DDR3 RAM

    NVIDIA Geforce GTX 670 FTW

    Windows 10 - 64 bit

    Lightroom CC 2015.5

Until a week ago, Lightroom functioned quite normally. Then I suddenly started to get the "unknown error occurred" in Windows HDR and Photomerge, no matter the photos I chose, whether it's different types of files, resolutions and even photos that have worked successfully in the past. Should I try to click on another parameter beyond just close the window, Lightroom crashes.

To my knowledge, there have not been updated Lightroom between when I remember the last working of functions and now. These photos also all successfully merging in Camera Raw and Photoshop, and I got no error in any other software I use commonly... so I'm not inclined to think that it's a hardware problem.

I tried turning the function 'Use Graphics Processor', clear my caches and most of the other things I could think of short of relocation (which, given my catastrophic internet speed, I discovered only as a last resort).

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Roll to LR 6.4/2015.4 using Installer and the patch from here: Install Photoshop Lightroom

    Uninstall LR.

Download and run the installer of 6.0.

Download and run the patch 6.4/2015.4.

  • An unknown error has occurred to project manager

So I tried to understand this point for quite a while now and I get this message. "An unknown error has occurred during the operation of project manager. Please save your project and try the operation again. »

I have a feature film and I'm trying to consolidate a reader to send for coloring ( life-size contains16TB of film without consolidation project that is why I am trying to use the project manager). Initially, I tried to use the project manager on my master chronology that did not work so I was broke up segment by segment and still may not know which clip or file causing the error. I can get some deadlines at work while others give the error message every time. I can also see the differences between files that are contained in the various deadlines.

-Mix of R3D and ProRes 4444 and ProRes (HQ)

-Try to use it on a single sequence

-Recover files and copy to the new location

    -Exclude unused items

-Include Audio Conform files (also failed when it was unchecked)

I'm 200% positive that my drive to target location has enough available space. The only thing I could possibly think is that on some images, I used the function "film" and has assumed a different framerate.

  • An unknown error occurred trying to save as .ai .psd

I have Photoshop and Illustrator, the two CS5. My graphics guy saved a first page of a catalog that we do as a .psd. And then he gave for me to work on, but I don't like using photoshop for this sort of thing, because it comes to a catalog, and play with layers takes too long.

So I opened this document in illustrator and tried to save it as an .ai file. And he said: an unknown error has occurred. Open in Illustrator very well, I was able to move all images autour and text and others. But I get an unknown error. So, what gives?

Try to save under and uncheck PDF compatible.

Save faster and and a smaller file. This will eliminate a lot of the complexity and allow I hope that your file to be saved.

Follow these steps to see if the problem is with your USB cable, a USB port or computer. Try again after each step:

    1. Use the USB cable supplied with your device. If you do not, try a different cable USB Apple.
    2. Switch to a different USB port on your computer. Do not connect on your keyboard.

  • problem with update of apps - ann unknown error occurred 11503

Almost daily when I try to update my IOS apps in iTunes I get error - ' could purchase < app > an unknown error has occurred. There was an error in the iTunes store' with error 11503. This is the case most of the time but not all the time. If I try again later, I am sometimes able to update applications. I check the status of the iTunes store and it shows no problem. I log out and back in iTunes (last verse.) and it does not help. The solution is to make the app on the device (iPhone, with the latest IOS) updates. There's other light this or you will suggest fix?

I know with iOS9 that apple went to a more direct service provider device app store. The main difference was you could are no longer synchronized apps from a device to iTunes, but you could still make it on the other hand, as well as download on iTunes. With "thinning" each device has received a version customized for a specific application for the model of the device but if you downloaded iTunes no thinning version was as long as it works on any iOS hardware. It is in itself would not explain your experience, but I wonder if it is somehow connected and perhaps it is not a version not cleared up (wild guess)?

  • "Sync has encountered an error during synchronization: unknown error." Synchronize automatically retrying this action. »

    Hello

I want to switch to Chrome, Firefox, but I have a problem with the synchronization feature.
It always displays the following error message: ' Sync has encountered an error during synchronization: unknown error. " Synchronize automatically retrying this action. »

I already tried this work around, but it did not work: remove my account from syncing, completely reset my Firefox profile, import my favorites of Chrome (using an HTML file), set up a new sync account (using the same e-mail address then that previously deleted).
But I still get the error message.

I saw in other threads that could be a problem with the story, so I also tried to delete, but it doesn't work anymore.
