UNKNOWN ICON of blackBerry Smartphones

I just got a new icon pop up last night.  To better describe it, it looks like a roll of film 110.  There are 2 circles apart with a line connecting it to the bottom.  I thought that maybe it's a voice message or something, but that's not all.

Any ideas?  T-Mobile does not and is not in the manual.

Or you can try to leave you a voice message, and then remove it to clear the icon. But I would try the battery first pull

Hello and welcome to the community!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  • Unknown icon of blackBerry Smartphones? Help!

I have a Pearl 8130. I have a new icon that appears in the upper right of the screen.  It appears only when I am in a call and during each call.  This just started 2 days ago.  I'll try to describe the icon... It is a horizontal rectangle with a white diagonal line from the upper left corner to the lower right.  Half top-right of the rectangle is black, the lower left is royal blue.  I can't find anything on this in the book, online or on CD.  Any ideas?

I called my operator and discovered it was an icon of the equalizer.  If you press the L key during a call, the icon will change direction and if you press the L again, the icon disappears.

  • Unknown icon of blackBerry Smartphones info appears on the display

    Hi all

I got my Curve 8900 for awhile now and love it. Today, if an icon appeared upstairs next to the battery and profiles on the home screen, and it's the number 1 and then a circle with and arrow inside. I guess it's sort of a new download available for something, but I can't find where it is!

    Any suggestions please?

The notice says you have an application that you previously downloaded or purchased in App World > My World, which is ready for an upgrade on your device. Look there for the upgrade.

To clear the notification on the screen, find the alert message in your main folder, read or delete it.

    Hello

I hope one of you whistle may be able to help me.

I have a Blackberry Bold 9780, I use v.6.0.0.294 on o2 to the United Kingdom.

Last month, I noticed problems. I can't tell you what icons disappeared first, but certainly Blackberry App World was among the first to disappear, my phone lock has now gone although I can search it and its actually hidden, it will not display...

App world Blackberry does exist at all on my "BOLD" and even when I downloaded it again, it will not appear.

(not sure if there are other icons missing these are the only 2 that so far, I've noticed)

I rebooted several times, no luck.

I've been in the Blackberry menu and looked for a way to display my lock icon and it won't.

If maisl isn't here as stated above then you must erase your SMS database.

To clear the TEXT completely check following the steps:

    1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
    2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
    3. Double-click on the backup and restore, and then click Advanced.
    4. In the list of device databases, select the appropriate database.  For your problem, select SMS.
    5. Click clear.
    6. In the warning window, click OK.

Don't forget to have if you erase your SMS as mentioned above, then all Messages will be lost and cannot be extracted unless you have a backup.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Hide you? Try to activate "Show all" to see.

Did you move it? Try searching all the folders (for example, Applications, downloads, etc.) to see. Make sure you have "Show all" active there as well.

Have you installed a new theme? Those who can hide things away.

If all those who fail, then I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone

    (3) restart to take batt

  • Unknown message notification icon for blackBerry Smartphones

I tried to delete all my messages and I couldn't find a way to get rid of this notification message icon.  I tried the Bills of lading all my applications, but nothing.  See attached picture.  This is the icon on the right side.  It looks like a phone.

    Thank you.

    Magellan says:

.  Do you think it would help to contact RIM or they say it's a third-party application that is the source of the problem and they would not be able to help me?

It IS a third-party application which is the cause and the third-party application comes from Motek.  He called two in a flashlight or something like that.  You have this application installed on your phone?

    See you soon.

  • Unknown e-mail blackBerry Smartphones icon on 9000 "BOLD"

I have a unusual icon appeared on my screen for the first time, and I don't know how to delete it.  My email icon, which is a transparent envelope, now has a small orange envelope inside.  I don't have email waiting, in fact, I erased the Inbox to be sure.  I saw the doc PDF icons on the BB site, but is not list.  I tried a re-boot.  Help someone?

This "orange envelope inside the envelope" is the new folder icon email pushed to you by your email provider, orange does not mean that you have new messages. Only with a red on asterisk, it means that you have new messages.

  • Icon for blackBerry Smartphones Unknown gold on screen

Since the update I had which I assume is a notification icon on my screen and I have tried everything I can think of what it could be. There seems to be a golden globe (a bit like the web browser icon - which was what I have, if it was linked to) with a number 1 next to it as if it was a message or social network notification. Does anyone know what could be this icon and how possibly get rid of it?

It's probably a browser push notification.  You can access your file main message, press the BB Menu key > folder view, scroll through the Messages of the WAP Push and delete the message from there.

If you have hidden your main Inbox, then you first want to view it.  Go to the home screen, press the BB Menu key and select Show all.

    I hope that helps!

EDIT: Looks like I was beaten to the post.  Same thoughts, then it's probably push browser message.  You can delete it I posted above.

  • Icon for blackBerry Smartphones Strange ianccessible

On my smartphone 8900 about an hour there is a blue message icon appeared next to the new message on the front screen icon.  It has a 1 in a red circle next to it, which makes me assume that it is a message from somewhere, but I can'r, select it and have no idea of how to access it or really what it is?

The blue icon looks a bit like the blackberry logo so maybe it's a message of Balckberry, but if so I have no idea where to go within the unit to opne it?  Doesn't anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you.

This looks like a BlackBerry Messenger notification. You have a message or a contact to add to BlackBerry Messenger.

Find your BlackBerry Messenger application, instant messaging, or the Applications folder is sometimes found in the folder.

You see one that looks like yours, below?
