Unknown program on the taskbar

I have an unknown program in my taskbar programs titled "Frog Update Checker files".  Some sites say it's good, another said it should be deleted because it is malware.  What should I do?

I would like to delete it. It is a program "kind of" play, but it attracts malware. After that you remove, download the free version of this tool. First check the updates and then run a full scan.

Ive been try instructions on how programs PIN over the taskbar, but I can't.  I clicked on the start menu and right click on the program I have to pin, but no 'Code Pin to the taskbar' option. I also tried to drag the program on the taskbar, but it did not work. What will I do?

Sorry, but that's the wrong answer. Absolutely NO program (executable file) would PIN to the taskbar. I found out why and would like to present this as the correct answer to anyone having this problem. This is because I removed the arrows on the icons on the desktop, thanks to a program called "Wise Fixer." If you choose to provide these arrows on the icons you can then pin any program to the taskbar again. Go figure.

  • Cannot pin a program from the taskbar

So my spazzed computer out for a reason, and now I can't delete a program in the task bar. Not that I don't want it there, but when I right click on it it will not pop up with a menu that gives me a choice to her PIN on the bar of. There is no open in an entirely separate icon. Observe. The program is Google Chrome:

(Sorry, it's a little small - you'll have to zoom in)
Then it starts to get a little boring and I would appreciate it if anyone had a solution in fixing it.
    Thanks again.

    Hello

You can solve the problem, but it will remove all of your icons also pinned.  Here's a script that will make the necessary files and registry changes for you.

    1. Copy all the text in bold below and paste it into Notepad (there are 4 lines)
    2. When you save the file, choose the "All Files" type and give it a name ending in .bat (example: Taskbar.bat Reset)
    3. Double-click your new command file to run commands, and then restart your computer.

    DEL/f/s/q/a "%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar\."

    REG DELETE HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband /F

    Taskkill /f /im explorer.exe

    Start explorer.exe

  • Why we can no longer open a program over the taskbar

original title: the feature of the taskbar

Why a very useful feature has been removed?  Auto-hide is very probably the most annoying feature ever;  I prefer to be able to allow windows to open the taskbar and if I need press the Windows keyboard direct, we have been able to do for almost 10 years.

It's like being able to drag the elements around the area of all programs on the start menu.  You can do it, but they just re - get an alphabetical sort themselves even if you put ' Menu all programs sort by name "OFF - why he lost us this feature and what is the point preferably to be here at all if it's going to sort without worrying?

    ManChicken,

The change is by design, however, if this is something you want restored, please submit your proposal to Windows 7 comments.

  • Taskbar only unlock, cannot pin programs to the taskbar and the Start Menu to the top is dysfunctional

Can't unlock my taskbar. I tried to unlock, but it won't work, and I am the admin. I have Windows 7 Home Premium. In addition, my Start menu is empty and it will not update to display these latest/most used programs. Furthermore, I can't pin programs in my taskbar. I think that these problems are related, but I have no idea how to fix them. Help, please!

    Hello

My first thought is a piece of malware or viruses to work. Have you tried any antimalware / antivirus applications? Otherwise, I use and recommend these:

    Malwarebytes' anti-malware: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html.

    SuperAntiSpyware: http://download.cnet.com/SuperAntiSpyware-Free-Edition/3000-8022_4-10523889.html.

    Avast antivirus: http://download.cnet.com/Avast-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10019223.html .

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

  • Logo of unknown Adobe in the taskbar of Win8?

When starting on a new laptop of Win8, there is an Adobe logo in the taskbar that leads nowhere.

When I fly, it's a gray square with no preview, then when I right click opens the menu showing "Adobe" under the HP launch area. This laptop has only 11 elements of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere elements 11 and installed Adobe Shockwave Player 11.6, but none of those who are active in the Task Manager. Closing using red - x in the upper right corner (does not appear in the picture as an attachment) does just that, and nothing seems affected.

How can I determine what Adobe product it is (and I can, so it is not like that)?

Thanks in advance and sorry I did not know which forum to post this sub

    adobe question mark.jpg

    looks like adobe application manager.

check your installed programs (Control Panel > programs > uninstall programs) to see which adobe products are installed.

You can also see what happens if you click on/right click the adobe icon under edit launch of hp.

  • Not able to keep open programs on the taskbar.

Original title: Windows I can't click my program on my task bar which is open, it will not appear

I recently reset my computer Factory

I have to click a program that is not open in my taskbar for the program to appear on my screen without minimize as it would save time instead to support a bunch of minimize buttons because I need a lot of programs open.

Until I'm able to have a program such as photoshop and be on Google Chrome, then by simply pressing the photoshop icon he'd jump up on top of my screen that allows me to work a rhythm quicker and more efficient.

    Help, please

    Fweak

    Thank you

    Hello Fweak,

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community forum.

According to the description of the problem after performing factory reset you are not able to open the application by clicking on the icon of these applications. Maybe there's a chance that, after the factory reset these application get removed from your computer.

I suggest you to check whether or not this application is shown in programs and features. If she's not here, so if please install this application once more and then create the shortcut of this application. Then, you will be able to open the application by clicking the shortcut key.

    Step 1

Check the application in the control panel.

    • Press on the key Windows + R.
    • Type appwiz.cpl in the run box.
    • Now, find the applications that you could not open.

    Step 2

Install the application if it is not installed and display in the Panel.

    Step 3

Try to create a shortcut for the application after installation. See the steps in the article mentioned below to create a shortcut.

How to create a shortcut on the desktop

Hope that the information provided is useful. Let us know if you have questions. We will be happy to help you.
