Unlink a POP3 account from a hotmail account

I'm trying to untie/cancel my hotmail account POP3 e-mail account.

Can someone advise me on how to do this please?

    I have several acouts hotmail.  I want to start using Outlook Express (or Eudora or other) as my email on my PC client but want full access to my emails on remote PCs via Explorer.  Outlook Express will download all the messages in my Inbox in?  Will he disappear from my hotmail account?  Or is he just leave my only hotmail accounts?

    You can access your Hotmail mailbox by using a POP account in Outlook Express and, Yes, unless you configure the account to leave messages on the server, it will remove them from the Inbox when it downloads, as well as all appropriate POP clients.  Simply set up the account in order to leave them on the server.  It will be on the Advanced tab of the account properties.  See this: http://windowslivehelp.com/solution.aspx?solutionid=99d4b13d-13db-40d8-9cdf-172002d4194c

    Also, remember that access to a POP mailbox has no notion of folders.  Only what is in the Inbox will be visible to any client POP, whatever you use.

    How to fix WLM 2011 to remove emails from my hotmail server account once they have been synchronized with the WML client. ? I've seen several references in forums to an option that is located on the Advanced tab in the menu Options/Email accounts/properties, but I don't have an option in the Advanced tab in this menu. Is there another way to do it. ? I tried to do this manually, but when I manually delete a message in my Hotmail account it also deletes the message on the client when it synchronizes. I would like to have my messages stored on my customer only and not on the server. Is there a way to do this. ?

    These files are probably within your e-mail program on your computer (for example, Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird or another program).

    You can turn off the messages to appear in the search results, but anyone could still just open your e-mail program and snooping.  The only way to be really sure is to use a password on your computer and let other people use a guest account (or make their own account).

    The problem is specific to the Hotmail account in a web browser in particular? Yes, on firefox

    Given that the problem is specific to the on Firefox Hotmail account, I'll ask post you your request in Firefox Support Forum to get the best solution for the issue that you are facing.

  • Thunderbird is removal of e-mails from both imap and pop3 accounts, without asking me to do this

    I went to get in my "sent" box to check on an e-mail, but found that they had almost all been deleted. I have imap and pop3 accounts, but this has happened in both. Also happening in the Inbox. I am aware that I asked never to delete e-mails.

    Thank you so much - I have now created a "local folder" (it did not exist previously) and I put in this folder all emails I need to keep. Thank you very much for your advice absolutely great. B June

  • Emails from storage for the POP3 account folders 2012 WLM to Outlook 2013 POP3 only creates empty folders in the wrong email account

    NOTE: We have already been asked to come on this forum by Office 365/Outlook 2013 support, so don't tell people not that go back us!

    1. we are under W7 64-bit SP1, run WLM 2012 32-bit and 32-bit Outlook 2013 both installed on this system.

    2. we have a POP3 account set as DEFAULT account in WLM 2012 with old messages in different folders to storage.

    3. we have a POP3 account, which is defined as the DEFAULT account in Outlook 2013.  (But we also have an outlook.com account.)

    4. we try to migrate messages in the WLM 2012 storage folder named 'A book' in Outlook 2013.

    5. we followed the instructions in various other forums support and information pages of Microsoft as follows...

    6. with WLM 2012 and 2013 Outlook both running in WLM 2012 we:

    a. Select "File" (really just a down-arrow in the upper left corner)

    b. select «Export emails»

    c. then select "E-mail."

    d. Select "Microsoft Exchange", and then say 'OK' in the popup window that says that this move Outlook email, etc.

    e. then we click on option button "selected files".

    f. then we click on 'A book', which is a subfolder or storage of our WLM 2012 POP3 account folders.

    g so we say 'OK' and 'Finish '.

    7. for our tests, there are only 3 message in 'A record '.  After we get the message that the export was finished, there is no error message, so he seems to think that everything worked OK.

    8. However, the net result is that a folder named "Folder A" has been created in our outlook.com account (incorrect account; the account POP3 and NOT the default account) AND the folder is empty, containing no message at all.

    We also tried a different folder in WLM 2012 which has been directly added to the POP3 account, instead of lying in "Storage folders" of WLM, but the result was the same.

    There are thousands of e-mails concerned here.  We NEED to somehow get this export/import of working for us before we can migrate Office 365 WLM 2012 / 2013 Outlook.

    Remove the outlook.com e-mail account, and then confirm that MS Outlook works correctly with his pop e-mail account.

    Then in WLM run the export again process.

    Exported messages should appear in the MS Outlook Inbox

  • I've set up an IMAP account on a POP3 account merged yesterday and now 95% of records and emails are gone when I opened the program, where's the data?

    Earlier, I set up Thunderbird to use my IMAP account. I wanted to convert a POP3 account, so I've added it to the list of accounts in Thunderbird. I copied all the folders on the IMAP account on the POP3 account and continued implementation of the POP3 account with certain filtering rules. Once I have seen that the e-mails were being downloaded, and things were working properly, I removed the mails from my Google IMAP account. This morning when I open Thunderbird, there is only one small file set upward in my POP3 account and nothing else. Filtering rules that I put in place are in place, but the emails and folders disappeared. I need help in recovering emails!

    Okay, I think I got it today.

    Of Thunderbird, create a new folder "Richclean" under the account "[email protected]".

    Right-click on the account - new folder

    EC that it creates in the file system under mailmail.richclean - 1.?

    It takes all incoming e-mails from three other POP3 accounts in the Inbox of the account 'main POP3 '! How can I set up each account three e-mail to have their own box of reception, Outbox, sent items, Junk E-mail and other records as requires it?     Well, you will need to find another program or even to use message rules to divert the emails from different accounts to different folders.  I don't know any other program that will do that with Windows Mail, then maybe you need to look for other e-mail programs.  I don't quite know which have the feature of Outlook Express identities, but I'm not an expert on other e-mail programs.

    When I open the photos app, files and web work as expected, but my email is locked in imap.

    I got hurt initially, when setting up the app and it is possible that I can have selected imap by mistake.

    I uninstalled and re installed nothing helps.

    The iOS version supports iMAP and POP3. Then Android only supports IMAP.
