Impossible to unlock BlackBerry pressing on and hold the 'A' on his keyboard.

    Unlocking a device after 6 months of subscription SFR is free... as long as you have a contract with them. During the first 6 months, it costs up to 65EUR. After the contract has ended, it is always possible, if your phone number has not been recycled for another client SFR. The procedure is quite simple: you must provide information about the contract: customer reference number, phone number, identity. If you do not, then it is very difficult (and this is true for all carriers in France, not only SFR).

    If I were you I would always try to collect all the information and find someone who speaks french to make the call.

    SFR has a community of support forum is here:

    I think that some of the contributors there can speak English, they can help you find the postal address where to send mail if you really need to write things down to the service the customer to answer.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help to unlock my BlackBerry 9810

    I have a BlackBerry Torch 9810 of AT & T. The phone keeps asking me the PUK code. Please help me find the PUK code for my torch 9810. I can't access anything, not even the menu for my BlackBerry 9810!

    Need help to remove the PUK code!

    I am totally fed up with AT & T as they rob me of my money. I need network unlock my phone contract AT & T I need code unlock and the PUK code. If I don't get the unlockcodes I'll have to throw my BlackBerry Torch 9810 for nothing!

    When the error message "ENTER PUK CODE" appears on the screen of the device:

    1. Connect to myAT & T.
    2. Select Wireless in the myAT & T tab at the top of the page.
    3. Select my phone/device.

    4. click on unlock the SIM card.

    5 follow the instructions on the page pop up.

    Unlock the SIM card

    1. Enter the eight-digit on the phone PUK code, then press OK/Yes.

    Note: Some users of Motorola phones must enter * 05 * if "enter PUK code" is not already displayed. After entering * 05 *, enter the eight digit PUK code and press OK.

    2. Select a new PIN code, then press OK/Yes.

    3 re - enter the PIN code, then press OK/Yes.

    4. If the codes have been entered correctly, the phone is ready for use.

    Now get rid of AT & T...

    It is also possible by using an unlock code. For BlackBerry is the unlock code is also known as the MEP2 code. First you try to call the AT & T customer service. Give them the IMEI number of your BlackBerry Torch 9810. They will provide you the unlock code (MEP2) for your BlackBerry Torch 9810. But this does not always work.

    Most of the carriers will give you the unlock code for your BB. Some have policies that vary from having an active account in good standing (good payment history) to have been a customer for 90 days or more. You can buy the unlock code from various suppliers. Unlock codes are unique to each BlackBerry. They cannot be used with a BB to another. Do not purchase your unlock code from a friend who has an and said that the code was for his BB. Unlock codes can last from 4 hours to 10 days to get it. A few BlackBerrys simply cannot be unlocked for various reasons: the IMEI number is not found in the RIM base, or the aircraft was a pre-release, not-to-be-sold device.

    The best way to unlock your Blackberry device is buy release from a trusted provider. Search the internet for unlocking mobile phone Web sites. You will encounter a thousand websites that can do this. Choose which ever you like. Do not price comparisons and unlocking instructions. Check again the number of model-network to which your phone is locked and the IMEI number before ordering. If you have made mistakes in these details these people will never give you refund! One last thing, before ordering ask them about the conditions for a full refund in the case of an error code! Think and make a wise decision. I personally bought the code for my Blackberry 8900 curve unlock genie.com. This is because they have good reviews on most of the cell phone forums.

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

    It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

    If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

    But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • Use the BlackBerry button in my application

    I use the BlackBerry JDE 4.5.0.7 version to build the application.

    I use the model BlackBerry 8300 Simulator for the test.

    I would like to be able to trap the action of the user click on the BlackBerry button to display my own menu then that in my application.  Can someone tell me how can I do this?

    I create my menu using the code below:

    Menu = New Menu();
    menu. Add (patientSearchItem);
    menu. Add (testPersistItem);
    menu. Add (testPersistVectorItem);
    menu. Add (appointmentInfoItem);
    menu. Add (patientInfoItem);
    menu. Add (patientSendItem);

    menu. Add (closeItem);
    menu. Show();

    Thanks for any help you can give.

    What class screen do you use for this?

    If you are subclassing screen, then simply substitute:

    protected void makeMenu(Menu menu,
                            int instance)

    If you are subclassing of another class of the screen, then you will also need to intercept the key Characters.CONTROL_MENU by substituting keyControl:

      // override of onMenu()    protected void onMenu()    {        Menu menu = new Menu();        makeMenu( menu, 0 );        menu.show();    }

      protected boolean keyControl(char character, int status, int time)    {

            switch (character){

                // menu key pressed            case Characters.CONTROL_MENU:                onMenu();                break;

                default:                return false;        }        return true;    }

  • BlackBerry Curve 9330 Smartphone, cannot answer calls

    I just got my new Curve 9330 yesterday and I received a few calls and I can respond. I hit the Green send button or meet the blackberry button and try to select. Nothing works. Hi and welcome to the Forums!

    Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

  • BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphones will not recognize the new SIM card

    I recently got a Bold 9900 as a gift. In my view, that the phone has been used on the Orange network.

    I tried replacing the original Orange SIM card with my SIMcard "pay-as-you-go" three, when I turn on the phone I get the message "SIM not recognized" and a dialog box asking me to enter a code to unlock the SIM card.

    Because this means that the phone is locked on Orange network. If so, how can I get the unlock code for the new SIM card?

    Best regards

    SS

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    You have in fact potentially two issues to deal with... When BBs are made, they are "locked" to their original media and cannot be used on any other carrier up to this MEP is unlocked. Reference:

    But the error you say does not quite what I'd expect from an MEP lock... but please check after the above and see if your BB is indeed MEP locked... If so, then Yes you need to unlock it until you can use it on any other carrier.

    Or - some SIM cards are delivered with a code of their own necessary to unlock and use. But the supplier of the SIM card which should also give unlock code you with this (if that's what applies to your situation).

    So, I suggest you check to see if your device is still locked MEP... If so, get a code (you may have to pay) and unlock it. Then try the SIM card again. If it still fails then your SIM card provider.

    In addition, please check with your mobile service provider preferred 100% certain that your BB model is 100% compatible with their network for all services.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone: keys Glitching several

    Hello

    Just got a phone Curve 8310 used (which is updated to the latest version of OS - 4.5.0.55) and after using it only for two days, I'm starting to meet small, but annoying glitches.

    The first is (was) really no reason, several hit started acting as they should not: BlackBerry button, T, Y and a few others did not do what they are supposed to do--they acted as capital Y and after that as Yi combination of letters, which was resolved just out of battery for a few minutes and then put it back in.

    The second is still there and it seems to be here to stay - every time when I write letters W, E, R, U, O, P, it saves correctly, but just after that automatically performs a pop-up that offers you to send or close the message. Every time I press the back button-, it does not have a return, but rather written "Hl" message, lol.

    This happens as a composer of Message (SMS), both in the software WhatsApp (or anywhere else where I can write).

    So, I was wondering - what could cause these terrible key overflows? I mean, I did something specific with it - yesterday wrote a few SMS, some WhatsApp messages and there is no such problems. Any experiences with the settings or software.

    Would it be cold outside (now forrest.) For about 5-6 hours per day to about-5, temperature of-15 C) or who should not cause these problems? What can I do to get rid of these problems?

    Sorry for the bad English - if something is not clear, I will try to explain better

    Edit: after some time looking for the forums, I found this forum thread where some users have found that it could be the reaction of condensation in the phone. If this could be true - is there a way to prevent the phone from getting wet or pick up condensation inside?

    As I suspected, the problem was with the condensate in the phone. Put and battery removed my phone on hot heater for about 15-20 minutes to dry out and now everything works fine.

    Just letting you know that (at least Curve 8310) is not really like the winters of the Baltic and North - same - 10 c outside could possibly spoil things. So, be careful!

  • Locked blackBerry Curve 8520 Smartphones and can't find the mute button to unlock

    Hello.  I have a BB Curve 8520.  I was looking for just the page options and then I think I clicked on the speed dial option.  The keyguard option has 'a' and I clicked it and it locked the keyboard.  I didn't realize there was a lock for my keyboard (and had been in charge of looking for one).  However, I can't get it unlocked.  When I press the menu button, it appears that the keyboard is locked.  Press the button Mute to unlock. »

    However, I don't know where is the Mute button, nor can I get it to unlock.

    My theme is precision zen (I think) if that makes a difference.

    Does anyone know how can I unlock my keyboard?  And then how to lock successfully in the future?  I guess I don't understand the aspect of the phone speed dial.

    Thanks for any help!

    Never mind.  I used the tutorial to find the button mute.

  • BlackBerry Curve 9300 error 507 & troubled smartphones reconnecting JVM

    Two days ago my BB Curve 9300 began showing a no logo battery after I had charged the battery overnight. When I turn on the phone, I get a white screen with Error 507 Reload Software.

    I installed the desktop software and the latest OS on my pc, connected the phone to the pc.

    However, when I try to install the new OS, it shows the application loader can not reconnect to the JVM.

    I already tried to do without the battery and then put the battery in when it tries to connect to the JAVA virtual machine, but it does not work...

    It's a bit irritating when I'm on the home screen or in an application and press the menu button (of which one with the Blackberry logo), I get a series of application on the screen icons and not list of menu that I want to. After hitting the button ' End/Power Off' a few times and then press the menu button again, I'll get the menu list 7 out of 10 times.

    What the chain icons hope to accomplish and how to prevent them from appearing in the future?

    Close or exit the Menu... always. Otherwise let the app to decide what to do... many will stay resident and consume resources even if you do not use them at this time.

  • Why my Curve 9300 blackBerry Smartphones keep freeze

    Why my BB Curve 9300 keep freezing?

    It freezes all the time because you're out of the application memory.

    I recommend you to install BlackBerry Desktop Software and do a full backup of the device. Then do a security Wipe. You can do the wipe by going into Options and type security wipe in the search bar. Do not include the media card, but include 3rd party applications. You can install those later via BBWorld.

    When it's done, you can only restore the databases that you really need like e-mail, calendar, contacts, etc.

    When you are all done to ensure that the media are registered in the media card. I recommend getting a much larger map in order to have room for photos and videos. You do not want the data stored on the device memory.

    Welcome to the community

    The phone must have a Blackberry data Plan to activate all the services of data on it. Please contact your carrier and tell them on this subject.
