Laptop: warranty exceeded

My laptop was bought for me as a 2016 Christmas present by my wife. now, I found that the warranty expired in 2015.

I asked HP upgrade of security and provided a scanned copy (jpg) from the command line.

They keep saying that it doesn't have an invoice number and I can send a pdf version.

I have no access to the pdf format, on the line order does not have a number of invoice to this topic.

I don't know what to do, can anyone give me any suggestions or advice on what I can do.

    Toshiba Australia has a service where you will take the product, clean everything, test all parts for reliability... perhaps optional upgrades of the components of this kind of thing? I like that I use and rather than spending $ 2,000 on a new laptop in a year or so... would rather spend a few hundred it maintenance and upgrade of all components, if this is possible on an older model.

    I refer to things like upgrade RAM from 2 GB to 4, maybe replace touchpad... replaceing drive only one bigger, faster... individual tests of USB ports... even replace some plastic case components that become scratched...

    I have no idea, that Toshiba offers this kind of service, if not, are you aware of any independent companies doing?

    Original installation Toshiba recovery using these discs and laptop image will be valid and active operating system.

    I just want to share my (very) bad experience with the customer service HP regarding the sending of your laptop for repair:

    I could not solve this problem, so I contacted HP to see if the procedure of sendting for repair.

    I was told that it should take about 15-20 (!) days - take the phone and fix it. Then they gave me the address of the nearest HP (Israel) laboratories, then I went to there by myself - 3 hours! - so he will repair more quickly.

    Today, I contacted them again and they even didn't take a peek again.

    HP has disabled my business because of these bad updates (retail sales. (NOT BETA)! It is not a problem, I did.

    I recorded all the calls, and I'll upload them as soon as you can see how ridiculous customer service the HP is. Oh, and they told me they give me a call back on certain issues. I don't have any call HP again.

    My laptop of HP labs. They told me that they have to replace the motherboard together. Does make sense to anyone?

    In addition, they have added and said that my motherboard type is not in stock - and it should take about 10 days to arrive...

    Is it not possible to do a hard reset for the re-flash of the firmware OR bios chip?

    I just bought a new Inspiron 15 700 series in January and in just 2 months it broke down 2 times. I am a student of the University & without my laptop I miss out on a lot of things. I bought dell because that my last laptop was perfect for 4 years & was held without any problem but this laptop is my worst purchase ever.

    I even called customer service, they kept me waiting for 30 minutes, I do not unplug the phone, the person even took my number and then suddenly disconnected call & he never called back. There was no resolution of the issue, I even he asked the number for the Department and the complaint which it did not. The guy on the call was harsh, I told him that the charger is working & he said, how do you know? I was on a call with the Dell customer 1 hour service & there is no solution. I wasn't expecting this from Dell.

    I am very disappointed by the Dell customer service, its quality is deteriorating. I don't have a laptop of these 3 days, I missed an important presentation because of this. A new laptop to fall twice in 2 months & Dell doesn't care. I would never buy a Dell laptop because of this experience, I would never have let someone in my family buy a Dell & I will post reviews of their service to the customer & product on amazon.

    Extremely disappointed with Dell Service & product.

    No, the upgrade of the RAM does not negate the warranty of your laptop. The RAM you install will have its own warranty and is not covered by HP.

    If you have to send the laptop in for repair, they will require the original installed RAM.

    I'm hoping for a little clarity if a laptop warranty is invalidated if the hard drive is replaced for another title of model/difference. The company that I work buys models Tecra and Portege for these last years, if we decide to buy more large hard disks and get our IT Department install them will be that gap in the agreement of guarantee with Toshiba?

    I talked to Toshiba and they were a little gray in their response. They said that, if you didn't damage the laptop, it should be fine, but if you send it as an unrelated question, with what they can carry out repairs on the laptop if the hard drive does not match the orgional one provided...

    Can somone if this is the case? It seems ridiculous that you would not be able to replace the drive even if bought from an official and used dealer in a corporate environment.

    As much as I know RAM and HDD upgrade do not negate the warranty. For many models of laptops, you can find instruction how to do this. It is described in the document of the user s manual or you can find short videos on Toshiba documents (knowledge base).

    Even on this forum in the USER SELF REPLACEMENT section you will find instructions how to replace the hard drives.

    What you can also do is to contact the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider and check what they say on this subject.

    As far as I know after registration of the guarantee, you should get a label which you can paste on to the back of your laptop. I'm sure that the partner wants to see this label.

    Anyway, you can try to contact Toshiba UK and maybe they can confirm that you have a valid international guarantee. Otherwise you can also try to contact Toshiba Europe in Germany. I'm pretty sure they can give you proper notice also how you can solve this situation.

  • Satellite P100-423 - warranty about to run out

    I have a satellite p100-423 which a failure of the LCD screen.

    I've registered this with toshiba and was offered an extension on my warranty to three years.

    These three years are on Sunday. I tried to use the online system that simply reports that my one year warranty has expired.
    I called help lines and a response service said to call Monday.

    Then
    1 - How can I do a warranty applies within three years?
    2. I can't find the evidence of the extension (but maybe it's because my machine is broken), I had hope Toshiba would have a record of it. If Toshiba say through their online system that my warranty has expired after one year, how do I claim on the three years a. ?

    Have you already contacted an authorized service provider? The ASP can normally repair laptop warranty also check the warranty time.

    It is difficult to say at this time what will happen but I'm sure that if you speak with the ASP they will help you as much as possible, and if your laptop is under warranty, the repair should be free.

    I bought my cell E5 - 571G online last November 2014 in an online store, I also registered on the Acer site. Then this year on October 2015 I returned my laptop to the store. However, they said that according to guarantee my laptop Acer already expired October 2015, how could that happened, since I bought my laptop on November 2014? According to the website of Acer warranty is 1 year from the date of purchase.

    The online store even gave me a link to the system information to check my warranty. When I checked my laptop serial number, the date of the end of my warranty is October 25, 2015.
