  I have recently updated our default domain password policy.  After that I updated the threshold of locking to 7 I ran the following command in PowerShell:

  This shows that the policy has been updated to reflect the change I made.  However, when I run the following:

  The threshold of locking does not show change.

  Can anyone confirm if the Net Accounts command has been depreciated?

  I posted this new thread, because I received no answer in my previous.

  Well well... a few things:

  1 - the ORA_DBA group very much part of the Administator group.
  2 - your oracle home seems to be highlighted in the right folder. Just enter ORACLE_HOME (uppercase)
  Set ORACLE_HOME=d:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1
  3. because your listener is listening on localhost, you MUST try to connect to the database from the database server itself! (not remotely)
  4. you can also change your sqlnet.ora with:
  SQLNET. AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = ( NONE , NTS)

  Then try again:
  CMD > sqlplus virtue sysdba

  Apparently, you have activated 2-factor authentication for your Google account. You will need to create a new password for specific application to Thunderbird.
