UNREAD message icon display incorrect account blackBerry smartphones!

At the top of my screen, the unread message icon still more messages than exist. Currently, it is said that I have 1 unread SMS message. When I receive an SMS, it will go up to 2. This will be the case and it will say 20 BBM or 3 emails but I still have to find a solution.

Tips to clear the message unread... try them in the order.

If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:

Try these options:
* Hard Reset BlackBerry now ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or with the BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert the battery)
Messages > saved Messages
Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
* Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
* Clean and reload your OS.
ESET and restart your BlackBerry.

  • Icons to send two blackBerry Smartphones and messages in both

I created my hotmail (live) e-mail account on my turn and I have now an icon of electronic mail with a globe for the hotmail account and the icon for messages that was originally there.  My e-mail messages are appearing in both so I think I need to look in two places to have the new message icon disappear from my screen.  I looked at the options on each, but cannot see where I could make this change.

I think that I've changed the settings successfully to get my calls missed out box messages so I'm pretty excited that is found on another channel!

All advice is appreciated or maybe I just need to live withi it.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

By default, the Messages as the Tote with the BIS independent icons somehow a filter, traction (from message) to them only messages that relate to them... but if you act on an e-mail (read, delete, etc.) in one, the change will be reflected in the other. There is nothing to resolve. Messages will always contain all that it contains today. You can hide or move the Messages icon/app out of the way, but beware - there are more that just the emails that arrive in Messages... it will come a day when you have a new message indicator and only by digging through Messages that you will be able to find this message.

I hope this helps explain how it all works!

    Good luck!

  • Icon of lack of blackBerry Smartphones

Hi, I had an older model "BOLD" (I don't remember the model #) until recently and on this matter, I got the Messages (the small white envelope) icon who showed me all the messages no matter what (calls missed, email, facebook, etc.), and I got a white envelope separate, but with a yellow symbol on it, which was related to my gmail. My new Bold 9900 has the ordinary white envelope, but there not this second icon. I have set up my email on the phone - I receive emails fine. The problem is that the current 'messages' icon is not synchronized with my email properly - the old phone, when I accessed emails on a computer would always delete the message from the phone, and the missing icon showed me WHAT was in my email, not the other stuff randomly. I don't need to see that I a facebook message, since my facebook icon shows me that.

How can I get this second icon - with just email - back?

    Thank you!

Open your Messages icon > press the Menu key > Options > Inbox management

Check or uncheck the e-mail accounts and messages you wish to convey to your main message folder.

  • Icon text Message on the home screen blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all

My Torch 9800 has developed a weird problem with the text on the home screen icon.  When I tap on it, my Office messages open instead?

He used to work fine when I got on the phone.  The only way I can write a text is to select a contact in the contacts list, and then select send a text message to this person.  All works, but is a pain.  I'm sure it is just wrong to finger and a parameter has been changed from somewhere but where.

What determines which opens when you tap on an icon?

    Any help would be great.

    Welcome to the forums, haysys!

Have you tried a hard reset on your device?  With the unit powered on, remove the battery for a few minutes, then replace.  See if you are then able to access the text normally.

  • Icon of mystery of blackBerry Smartphones - two circles connected by an underscore - what is it?

    Hi all

My new 8900 began by displaying a small icon (which looks like two small circles connected by underscore) to the right of my icons of message notification at the top left of my screen area.  Anyone know what this means?

    Thank you!

It is absolutely a voice mail waiting notification. Instead of your corporate voice mail, can you check voicemail on behalf for your cell phone number, if it is different.

There is no separate BlackBerry voicemail location. The BlackBerry does not have voicemail, does your carrier.

  • Question of display time of blackBerry Smartphones

I live on the coast is and recently went to California. I left my time zone set to the Eastern time. When I came to CA, I noticed that my phone displays the time time instead of Pacific time. I went into Options and then time and time to network was peaceful, but it showed that on my main screen. It was the same if I used the BB or Verizon network.

Only, I could get the main display time to be correct if I manually changed the time zone at the time of the Pacific. Is it normal for my phone?

  • Icon of mail to blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello

I have a question. There is an icon on the screen: email icon. It is not connected to any of my email account. I want to remove this icon. I don't know where I have to remove it.

    Thanks for your help!

    Mike

So basically, you want to remove an email account that you added to your device? Don't want to receive e-mail from this account?

If you deleted this email account in the account BIS login box, now on the device, go to Options > advanced > Service books and find the two inscriptions which mention that counts, the two [CICAL] e-mail and entries [CIMIME], delete both.

Then, restart the BlackBerry > with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.
