  I am trying to create a mechanism of robust communication between a cRIO and a desktop application HMI. I tried to use the network stream I could avoid a lot of pitfalls in the management of a TCP connection.   I know I'm coming to the end of the conversation, but maybe some of this information will still be useful.  While network streams were designed to manage multiple connection/disconnection cycles with the underlying TCP/IP connection on the network seamlessly, they were not intended to perfectly manage and survive many lives or running instances application with endpoints.  All this is still possible, it will take more work on the part of the implementer.  An important thing to remember when using network flow, is that once you've managed to connect the two end points, the destruction of one of the endpoints (via normal stop or an accident) will require the destruction of the other end.  This means that you cannot simply reuse on RT target endpoint to communicate with several sessions of HMI.  Instead, you will have to destroy endpoint on the target of RT and create another endpoint (probably with the same name) for the next session.

  To do this, I recommend a state machine that is basically:

  1. Create an endpoint - you can do either with an infinite time-out or a continuous loop with a timeout if you need meet orders of demolition/judgment of the user.
  2. Continuous read/write in the flow in a loop.  If at any time you receive a fatal error of read/write, leave the loop.
  3. Destroy the end point and return to the State first, where you can wait for the next connection.

  I would avoid going down the road of trapping of the specific error codes and writing conditional logic for each of them.  Network stream API was designed such that for most / all cases, you should should not do this.  If you have a healthy stream that can still move the data, you will not be getting errors from the read or write call (apart from a few things matter as if we were trying to read from an endpoint unique writing of corner).  If you get an error in reading or writing, it usually means your workflow is dead and you need to create a new one if you want to continue to communicate with the remote application.

  If you follow the above, I think that you are 90-95% of the way.  As the article you link above mentions, there are additional considerations to take into account if you need to tolerate the application crashes / accidents of remote endpoint.  In these scenearios, you basically have one of the three results of the application that always uses the end point which don't collide:

  1. Demand will start to return errors:  In some scenarios, we can detect the remote application is crashed, abnormally terminated, or whatever.  In these cases, the read/write will return an error and the same pattern described above should work.
  2. The flow will introduce a disconnected state and stay offline:  This would generally happen with a fall in demand.  In these cases, we cannot tell if the connectivity loss is due to a problem with the application or poor network conditions / remote computer.  If you need to detect and recover from this scenario, you can do as a section of the link recommend you and write a timer that resets the stream network if the flow remains disconnected for a period of time.  This could be incorporated in step 2 of the above state machine quite easily.
  3. The flow will continue to make a State connected, even if the remote application is no longer functional:  This should rarely occur and would occur only when the application on the remote computer hung or an impasse, but the network computer stack is still in operational condition.  In this case, we cannot differentiate between a suspended application and the other simply has all the data to send.  If you need to detect and recover from this condition, the best thing to do is probably to create a second timer that resets the stream if it's too long you've changed successfully read/written all the data.

  I must emphasize scenarios 2 and 3 can be greatly simplified if you care to detecting the crash & block until another application attempts to connect to the application that is still ongoing.  For example, restarting the application has crashed/hung will recreate an end point and try to re-establish the connection of flow.  At this point, the application which is still running will go account he communicated with endpoint remote must have crashed and raises an error.  At this point, the same state machine mentioned above should be sufficient to re-establish the connection.  I think that this part could be more difficult in LV 2010 since the first attempt to apply newly restarted it also throw an error when you try to reconnect to the remote application.  This will occur until the endpoint in the live application was also destroyed which means that you would have to execute a loop on creating calling until she succeeded.  In 2011, we changed the behavior so the call to create the newly restarted application would cause the remote application to start return errors, but now we are still trying to establish the connection on the newly restarted application for up to the timeout limit.  If you use a state similar to the above machine, you should be able to reconnect without having to write a loop around the call to Create in the newly restarted application.

  We have a MD3000i that has been in operation for some time. It is configured with SAS 15 x 750 GB disks, and recently we experienced some failures of drives, including 1 on the 2 discs of relief in the chassis.

  Initially, this chassis has been configured with:

  -RAID 6 array (called RAID6-1) with 5 discs - slots 0,1,2,3,4

  -Table RAID10 (called RAID 10-1) with 4 discs - slots 7,8,9,10

  -Table RAID10 (RAID10-2 named) with 4 discs - slots 11,12,13,14

  -2 discs labeled as spare - slots 5.6 disks

  A few weeks ago, we had a drive failure in RAID 6 Bay. What is interesting is that neither the automatically replaced hot spare disks the drive failed in the RAID 6 array. As a precaution, migrate us all the data out of the matrix RAID 6, deleted the virtual disk and re-created as a RAID 10 array.

  This left us with a configuration of:

  -Table RAID10 (called RAID 10-1) with 4 discs - slots 7,8,9,10

  -Table RAID10 (RAID10-2 named) with 4 discs - slots 11,12,13,14

  -Table RAID10 (RAID10-3 named) with 4 discs - slots 1,2,3,4

  Today, I started to receive warnings about a 10-2 failed RAID array. In this case the hot spare in the slot 5 came as failed and the 2nd disc of alternatives to slot 6 become active to rebuild the 10 failed RAID array.

  During the process of rebuilding RAID 10-2 I started to receive warnings about the unreadable sectors. A report shows 38 unreadable sectors that have both a failure of logic and physical type. Here's where I'm a bit confused...

  The report of unreadable sectors is indicating that unreadable sectors come from a virtual disk that is on the RAID array 10-2. It is the table that rebuilt today. Readers of this table are now - slots 11,12,13,6 (with 6 being the hot spare)

  So I have a few questions:

  1. the report of the sectors is unreadable reports numbers of slots that start at 1 instead of 0. This would make the spare drive which comes in the use of the reader with unreadable sectors

  2. the storage profile report does not show a mirror to crack 0.13 this disc has been implemented mirror on the disk in the slot of 0.14 shouldn't 13 and 6 be mirrored between them now?

  To be on the safe side, we are migrate all data out of the RAID array 10-2 of the recently created RAID 10-3 matrix. We are also thinking to remove the RAID array 10-2 and making a RAID 1 array, so that we can use the remaining disks under chassis hot spare parts (pending the delivery of replacement of drives we already ordered).

  After reviewing the support bundle the problem you are dealing with is a puncture of the VD. The minimum thing, I would recommend to resolve this would be to back up data and remove the Group of disks. Replace all failed drives. When it says disc 7 the failed drive is actually HARD 6 disc. Then recreate the VD with the new drives. You will need to then enter and update the firmware on controllers and firmware on the drives.

  Now that I fully would you recommend to do is backup all the data of the entire table and reconfigure with a wide range of RAID. Then just break up with virtual disks rather than each has its own RAID level. You will see better performance when you have multiple disks in the disk, rather than having to group that he divided the way it is currently in place.

I've been working out of my project of Mobile Flex using the SDK of heroes and everything seemed fine. It debugged very well, installing BAR was very good and above all, it has been accepted by RIM. The discussions I linked to had a response from an official developer of running off of the latest version of the SDK (0.9.3), but my project says that the SDK is not compatible with mobile projects.

  Haha what do you mean you're not too bright. you really made the right decision here. in the first step of creating a project, you can choose the Flex SDK hero. You cannot choose the BB SDK because it works only as a reference library.

  My W530 just started displaying the error detection, however, Windows can still see the device, as well as the BIOS

  This is a known bug. for anyone having problems (should probably post in the section windows 10), the problem is caused by the States of power enabling sata driver on the hard drive that does not support the bios.

  The Samsung player- It was the second drive I tried. It has been detected by the bios but diagnosis gave me the '303' fast error. When you install windows via USB, it asked me to drivers before proceeding. When installing from a cd, I could get to the point where I see the drive listed. I would get errors when I would try to partition or format. Not even partition the drive via the command prompt by using diskpart worked. It returns an error indicating an incorrect setting or something like that (Note I could partition the drive here but not format NTFS).  I could manually partition on another system completely. Formatting/partitioning via another system has allowed me to completely enter the installation up to the point where it says "installation of features" then it gives me an error saying that it was impossible to define the local system - or something like that. In addition to that I also tried to install windows on the other system that was working fine but would not transfer to the laptop. I also tried the previos on the ssd drive cloning, but when booting the computer gave me a disc read error.

  My personal desktop (OCZ Vertex 4 128 GB) drive- it has worked. Diagnosis of computer picked up fine and did not point out the mistakes. The only thing is that I tried to install windows on it because I already had a facility there.

  My thoughts– my best guess is that there is a kind of incompatibility with the drives firmware and the BIOS of the computer. The Bios (Insyde h20 F.21) is very limiting in a first time, too easy to use, and not much to do here, second he has not seen an update since 2011.   I found this fix on another site.  We're supposed to plug the IR cable to the TV box at the back of the first port on the remote sensor Windows Media (the ' antenna' of the Windows Media Center remote control) and then to put the tip of the probe of the IR cable to the cable TV box distance near the sensor on the cable box (it can be seen by a light in the glass) and then complete the configuration of the channels in Windows Media.  The problem is, it does not work unless there is also something connected to Port 2 of the medial distance sensor Windows as well (a head set will do).  With the sensor box IR cable company cable plugged into the first port in the back of the remote Windows Media sensor and headphones plugged into Port 2 of the remote sensor, Windows Media, and the end of the probe of the sensor cable box IR cable near the cable box remote sensor box, Window Media channel setup "found" the cable of the IR sensor and allow me to complete the installation.  I could not bind the Windows Media remote sensor with the remote for the cable box, but said that I managed.  I use the remote cable box to change channels and have box IR cable connected on the decoder cable TV and put the cable box IR receiver cable on top of my desk.

  Basically the fix is change the paper size setting in the Menu auto copy letter. This by pressing the copy, then #6, select letter (which is #2), and which will bring you to the Menu copy. Scroll through all the selections from 10 until you go to the bottom that is set by default again and select this option.

  I tried to make several copies, and it has worked every time now... no error message in view! However, if you try to make copies on paper other than the standard 8.5 x 11, you can select that with each individual work because by default no longer detection "auto."
