Unusable Cineware of the slow, spinning wheel between everything I do. Connection/TCP problem?

Hi, I have problems with Cineware in AE CC 2014. If I create a new cinema 4 d of the file in a model, the whole program becomes unusably slow, a cursor of reel for 5 to 20 seconds-ish, whenever I have move the playback cursor or / select nothing in said computer, even things unrelated to the spinning Cineware layer. It's never worked normally on this machine, I only used it on my previous but used it without problems on other machines to work successfully. I don't get the error messages and everything works well.

I did a lot of research on the AE forums and found some people with the same kind of problem, but very few with any solution at all, and this small number does not work for me. It seems from what I read it is probably a problem with the TCP communication between two apps/connection wait times, but nothing that I tried so far has helped.

My specs:

  • last updated OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 with quicktime 10.4
  • iMac, retina 5 k, 32 GB of memory
  • After Effects CC 2014.2 (just installed 2015, briefly tried and had the same problem)
  • Cinema 4 d 16.038 Lite as installed with AE and fully implemented to date.

As I suspect it is a TCP problem, change the TCP port ports in options of Cineware seems to be the obvious thing to do, but I'm not sure this ones different to use: I scanned for ports with network utility, that I can see the open hole only has 5 numbers and cineware options allow only a number registered 4-digit! When I tested it before I tried some pretty random 4-digit (purge all cache/memory and restart AE in the meantime) does not.

Did not understand how I could go about opening/transfer a port and am not sure if it is still possible to do in OS X rather than the settings on my router to connect to the outside world...?

I tried other things:

  • Turn off wifi (as shown here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1877012) did not help
  • .. .or a permissions preference setting (as in ml http://blogs.adobe.com/aftereffects/2014/06/permissions-mac-os-start-adobe-applications.ht( )
  • permissions repaired in disk utility
  • Have tried to screw up the AE preferences and make a C4D file without altering any prefs, same problem persists.
  • Of OS X's firewall is off already so there is nothing to allow, (and I tried to turn on, but does not block anything) and I have no 3rd party security/firewall software.
  • I don't have QuickTime 3rd party to try to disable or components of the video hardware to disconnect.
  • Can't remember if I tried to log in as root when I tried to correct that earlier, will now make and update this shortly
  • Change the TCP port in the Cineware options (as described above)

Let me know of ideas, any info would be much appreciated. It would be amazing to actually be able to use Cineware at all!

Thank you!

Just to let you know, it seems that the latest version of the software update Yosemite has corrected all that was the cause! So happy, but still don't know what was the problem exactly.

On this other thread someone has reported that they have solved the same problem earlier by doing a clean install of Yosemite: CreativeCOW

I turned on my computer at least 2 hours per day. When you go to FaceBook, I wouldn't click on links to articles and videos. the longer I stay on the site the slower my computer runs. How can I solve this problem?

You have not provided a lot of information.

    What is your antivirus?

If you haven't done so already, run SAS and MBAM:

    For the SAS portable scanner:

    http://www.SUPERAntiSpyware.com/portablescanner.html

Also download, update and run the version FREE of MBAM (not the version pro or trial!):

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

You can remove them later if you wish, but the full run scans with them and your antivirus after update all 3.

  • When I opened the trash I spinning wheel of death

    MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inch, mid-2014). 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7. 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. Yosemite 10.10.5.

Thanks in advance for any help. I'm reviewing my files ransacked before emptying since everyone trashes things as they see fit. In the past I was able to drag all the files I want to keep it out of the trash in a folder 'save' on the desktop then empty what's left in the trash.

Now when I click on the trash icon file opens, I can see the list of files, but then the spinning wheel is displayed immediately. The computer doesn't gel (I use any other program) but Finder freezes and I can't Force Quit/relaunch. (Trash is then closed). I can reopen it Trash, but the same thing happens again.

All options in addition to a program or terminal to empty force command the trash until I can't view it?

    Thank you, all the...

    May be a corrupt .plist.

Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist.  Move the .plist on your desktop.

Relaunch the Finder by restarting the computer and test. If it works fine, delete the plist for the office.

If the same, return the .plist to where you have it since, by crushing the latest.

Thanks to leonie for certain information contained in this.

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • Beach ball of death as well as by the slow performance of spinning glaciers

    Hi people,

I have been enduring the beach ball of death from a spinning some time now in the calculation of my daily life and I just can't take longer, as long as it happens little matter what I do on the Mac, and performance are slowed by the glaciers.

    It happens all the time.

I ran several ladies of virus, including clams and none of them came with something.

The problem came slowly over a long period of time. Now, however, the beach ball takes over whenever I'm on Mac to the point that I have to force quit, and then restart just to get anything done, and even then, it is not long until the ball is back and performance slows down again.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Please post a report of EtreCheckof your system. We then look for obvious problems. Please click on the link, download the application and run the report. Once you have the report, please copy and paste into your response to this post.

If you would like more information on what is EtreCheck, just click on the link and you will find a description of the application.

It is very possible that your problem much worse by installing antivirus on your computer applications. AV apps for Mac are useless, there is no virus for OS X. Most tend to create more problems than they solve so look for developers instructions to uninstall (s) installed and uninstall them.  Run the EtreCheck report after it has been uninstalled. OS X needs no antivirus, cleanup or ANY third party maintenance apps. If left alone and simply updated OS X will run well for most users for years!

  • spinning wheel on the status bar on iphone

I wrote a question for a while to get the spinning wheel next to the symbol wifi in the status bar on my iPhone 6.  I checked the background app refresh to see if it was looking to update my applications in the background and that has been turned off.  I don't know what else could be the impeller constantly appear on my status bar if this feature is disabled.  If anyone has any ideas or suggestions or suggestions as to what it could be because I'm sure that this affect my battery life, so therefore, any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

    Hi Tommy,

I had a look at your previous post about the spinning wheel next to your Wi - Fi symbol on your iPhone. Good job on the research of open applications and other sources that can cause this problem. I've been in situations where something has been empty my independence as well. So, since it seems to be draining your, I'll have you try a few more troubleshooting ranging from easiest to hardest.

I'm almost certain that you tried to reboot your iPhone. If you do not, it is the easiest step and gets overlooked often. If you have tried all the steps I provided here, feel free to ignore them.

For the safety of your data, whenever you reset a device, it is always a good idea to have a new backup of your data

The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Your iPhone is certainly connected to your Wi - Fi connection, but it seems necessary to refresh the connection or it tries to maintain the connection. Can help reset your network settings. This will not affect previously connected settings Wi - Fi networks and passwords, Bluetooth accessories recently used, VPN, and APN.

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connects to a Wi - Fi network

Even if other devices are connected and working as it should, your network may need a reboot as well. Step 5 in the previous article covers this. Either disable Wi - Fi on your phone (settings > Wifi) or turn your phone off altogether. This is not mentioned in the article, but I recommend to unplug the modem and the router, leave them turned off for 5 minutes, restart the modem and wait to switch completely to the top, then the router. If you have an all-in-one, then for 5 minutes. Once your network is back, connect the phone only and see if you still have the spinning wheel.

If the previous steps have not helped, the last step is to restore your iPhone to factory settings. If you saved it before you begin troubleshooting, you're fine. If you do not, the next step will delete your entire iPhone. Without a backup, there will be data loss.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

Before restoring your back upwards, see if you still get the spinning wheel next to your Wi - Fi symbol. If it still turns, you should have your rated iPhone. You can use the following link to locate an Apple retail store or Apple authorized service provider.

    Find locations

If there isn't one near you, you can contact Apple Support for the rest of your service options.

    Get help

If the wheel is not present after restoring to factory settings, you can restore your back upward at that time here.

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

If the impeller is returned, the question is in your back. You can restore your iPhone to factory settings again and sync your iPhone with iTunes and download apps and also look for the spinning wheel back. If/when it does, you have reduced the question.

    Hope you enjoy your day!
