Unusually slow Lightroom on export interface

I use Lightroom CC 2015.3 with cab 9.3 and when you export, the UI becomes so slow it's unusable. It still works, but we are talking here in the order of seconds between my entry and the response of the application. I have a large selection of RAW photos, I need to treat lightly before exporting to TIFF, so they can be imported into a sequence of images for use in SpeedGrade. As Lightroom does not seem to enjoy my multi core CPU, it takes an exceptionally long time, to the point where I let it run all night. During the day if I want to export this means I can't use Lightroom for something else. The specs of my computer are lower, is an exceptionally powerful workstation for high-end video and photography work.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to improve the results in export of Lightroom or responsiveness while it exports?

  • Intel Xeon E5-2680 v3 @ 2.5Ghz with 12 physical cores
  • 128 GB OF RAM
  • Graphics card Quadro K6000 with 6 GB of RAM
  • Intel SSD PCIe NVMe 1.2 to 750
  • 8.1 Windows 64-bit

Problem solved. I quit Lightroom and I now use Phase One Capture One Pro. It is well designed to take advantage of a multi CPU core and affects the same output that I demanded to Lightroom in 1/10th of the total duration of Lightroom. My CPU usage went from 14 to 18% to 100%.

Hello! I am a family oriented photographer and have a bit of trouble to keep the colors of files exported between lightroom and photoshop consistent. I edited my images on 5 Lightroom and export TIFF files after changing color ProPhoto RGB space. Then, I opened a picture at once and changed the settings of Photoshop CC ProPhoto RGB color (under the workspace). When I was editing on photoshop, I tried to export the image, but the colors seemed different, a bit washed out and blue, from the color of the workspace, I was on. I don't know how to solve this problem. Please notify.

Thank you very much for this! Color sorted

  • Several video tracks slow time of export in first pro?

I work on a dslr shot the video.  The full video is 7 minutes, but when I export the video, it takes an excessively long time.

The first minute is only a simple video track layer and rendering of export moves at a normal pace.

But at 30%, its took about half and hour to increase by 1%!   I think it's because it probably where I have multiple video track stacked each other (b-roll).

Follow the guys always cut the video base on top of which is b-roll to make a single layer video?

Several video tracks slow time of export in first pro?

How can I optimize the speed of rendering of export?

    HP 510 t

    Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 bit

    12 GB of Ram

    I7 2600 CPU @3.4 GHz

    ATI Radeon HD 5570

The only way that more tracks could slow if export is that you can see all of these tracks on the screen, as the picture in the picture.  If you can't see the top layer follow, then simply have the video under which will have no effect at the time of export.

Effects and others can slow things down.

  • Loss of quality in Lightroom on export of raw to JPEG

I know that this question has been asked several times on these forums, as well as other sites, but I have not found an answer with my situation. I spend a lot of time editing .nef (shooting with a Nikon D5300) and when I export to JPEG, I get dishes photos blunt. When I export, I use the sRGB color space and the 100% quality. I'm not resizing or sharpening. I imported even the jpeg format to one side by side inside LR to make sure that what I see is correct, and you can certainly make a difference. I want people just to see what I see inside LR. Any help would be appreciated!

There are three types of sharpening make you in Lightroom:

    (1) sharpening capture that do to the native resolution of the sensor camera, such as specified in the section detail of the develop module, to counterbalance the slight confusion of the anti-aliasing filter and optics imperfect as the interpolation of colors 2 / 3 in each pixel position.

    (2) creative sharpening to specific areas of an image to the native resolution of the sensor.  It would use an adjustment brush with sharpening in loaded areas who need to sharpen as the eyes and the lips and other areas important to give them a little more than a little more importance.

    (3) output sharpening, specified on export, after resizing to the size of the final output.

The detail section develop is only capture sharpening, then you will not see the result of all three, especially not an export resized down, whenever you move a slider to develop in detail, which is what you expect to see with zoom made, but it would be much to slow down to make an export just to show the sharpening be done according to an arbitrary of any form of zoom size is.  Development in the area of Wolf resampling is very fast and somewhat distorted as you found it.  Move to the library is a little more specific, because the preview is calculated to slightly larger that the size of the screen then resized to the size of the view made.

If you notice in the retail area, if you do not have adjustments at 1:1 or 100% zoom, then it is an exclamation point at the top left if you hover over, he suggested to use 1:1.

CPU utilization, disk, and network activity and post your findings.

Seems something is supported of the resources of your system for some reason any.

El Capitan does not in itself and ask your question.

  • Lightroom sudden export questions

I've been working a lot of photos and export photos in batches of about 300-400 at a time on my external hard drive when I am done with them.  This morning all of a sudden, I tried to export 2 photos and for an unknown reason my computer locked up.  I have rebooted, tried the same two pictures again, then restart I tried alone, still frozen.  After another reboot, I tried a different photo from a different lot, and attempted to export to the hard drive of my laptop... same results my laptop froze.  What could be causing this type of problem, or where can I seek to solve the problems?  I'm on a PC Windows 10.  This is the first time that I met such a problem with Lightroom.  Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.

Check the event viewer to see what caused your computer to lock up. Event type in the search box, click Event Viewer, and then expand Windows logs and watch the time that your computer you locked in Applications should find an entry with a red round icon with one! in the middle and error written next to it.

When I save a photo from Lightroom Mobile (Android) to the Gallery, the exported photo does not keep the date the photo was taken. I have all the options in the sharing settings to keep the data on.

  • Lightroom 5 - export "Book Blurb" in pdf format

I created 'Family history' book in Blurb using Lightroom 5 installed on my Mac the photo book has 179 pages a combination of text and photos. I tried to export in pdf format so that I can preview and check the typos and send it to another Member of the family to preview also. etc before filling and order. I managed to export successfully to the front cover, but I can't seem to export the contents of the book. After reading the reviews on various forums I checked that all the photos and the downloads are in jpeg or dng format and not png.  The text is the basis of Myriad Pro - although I used fonts of various colors and sizes. All the advice you can offerwould be appreciated, please.

You should get two PDF files.

One for blankets and a separate pdf for all other pages. Look in your folder.

  • Slow Lightroom

My lightroom became very slow. Now, it takes a few seconds to see an adjustment mode to develop. I have to re install?

If you do a lot of stain on a photo, then Yes, this is a known problem that Lightroom will slow down, and you'll get dramatically improved performance making stain by something like Photoshop.

  • Lightroom 3 exporting only not in the right dimensions

I'm trying to export some of my photos for printing (by a laboratory) as 6x4s at 300 dpi. The problem is that Lightroom 3.4* simply won't do that! No matter what method I use (for example by specifying ' 6 inches x 4 inches', '1800 x 1200 pixels', ' 1800 pixels on the long edge' etc), pictures always come out like 1800 x 1196 rather that I've specified the 1800 x 1200. Y at - it something I am doing wrong, or is this a bug?

    * PS: 3.2 has done as well - I installed the update to see if it has solved this problem, but it didn't

You must first of all of the cultures to the 3:2 aspect ratio.  Export will not change your image format.

  • Different color in lightroom to export.

I noticed for some time now that I had to set the white balance in almost all of my photos while working in LR 3. Then when I print, they were all too cool and blue. Just got back from vacation and I have developed my photos so that went on my laptop with LR3 and noticed that I had no such problem. I know you're going to say it's my monitor. But I then imported the catalog of my laptop and the exported photos that I have developed. When I open lightroom the images were still very hot, almost Brown in hue. When I open the exported JPG file it went well.

The image is a screenshot of the exportation on the left next to the photo in the develop module in LR.

    Capture.JPG

If it was a problem of monitor, then both look the same. Why am I such a hot photo in lightroom? I compared the settings on my laptop and desktop, and they seem to be the same. Someone has an idea of what is happening in my Lightroom Office?

    Thank you

    Chris

Received my Spyder3Express today and just finished calibrate my monitor. All what I can say is, I wish I had done it a long time ago! I don't pretend to know how or why it works, but he did. Here are the comparison with CS3 on the left and LR on the right. I would say that the quality of the picture in LR is now better and truer than CS3. If you look at the photos above the image before calibration was much too hot, almost Brown.

Thanks again to all for the advice. If you wondering if you should try calibration, do. Best $66, I spent a long time!

  • Unusually slow MacBook pro, as well as problems with power.

I'm looking for help on setting my Mac, any help from anyone would be great!

Recently, my MacBook Pro (running El Capitan) at the end of 2013 model started running really slow unawares (before that it was perfect). No hardware or software, changes began to really randomly goes slowly. My mac has always very well maintained, regular clean ups of junk, utility to check disk done often, no useless apps or data.

Other questions, I'll have with power up the mac off is when I press the power button to turn off it starts then a few turns (don't not even to Apple to loading off-screen, shines the screen but then powers), I have to hold the power button for 10 seconds approximately to get power properly, when I close the lid without turning off then open it I went to the login screen instantly but then close the book Mac downs completely.

I ran the Apple Diagnostics, no problem. I also ran repair disk utility, no change. I even did a clean install of the operating system and there was a very minor change, but always far make the level it's at.

    Thank you

A slow Mac may be due to not enough available storage space.

Click on your Apple  menu at the top left of your screen.

In the menu drop down click on about this Mac , and then select the storage tab.

Your Mac is the bare minimum needs 8 GB of storage available just for the operating system not to mention all your personal data.

No notices that DB operations slow down the UI thread? For the entire application is unresponsible, and sometimes all the devices. Is it because that the operations of SD card?

Chance I just update the latest news I've had experts at the BB dev Conference:

The architecture of the JVM is designed expects until native calls completed. It is not true for all native calls, it is also greatly improved in OS 7 release.

But it puts a light on the dark areas. If I know this information before I would try to check that much - much earlier and slow down question difficulty much - much easier.

So guys, don't forget this info whenever you get the issue of users with OS 4.6 - 5.
