So I installed Windows 7 and it worked fine for 3 weeks, then again bluescreening. So I decided to go back to XP. And although I can't do anything on this issue because it is too slow; a simple command such as opening a folder takes 10 minutes! Has it damaged something by installing Windows 7?   Looks like a bad HD for me. You need to check the bad sectors, which can be easily made to initialize with a linux LiveCD/USB and by running disk utility it. It will report on the SMART status of your drive, and I suspect that your HD to be riddled with bad sectors, ergo long boot time and BSOD.
