  I added some hardware from Razer (Blackwidow Ultimate keyboard & DeathAdder mouse) my system, a month or two before, and Synapse 2.0 caused BSOD regularly, so I took out starter, and my system has worked very well, until the last two weeks. I am not usually the addition or removal of hardware or software, so maybe I'm picking up cyber-Carbuncles in surfing on... not sure.   I ordered the Dell XP disc and did the re-install. It works fine now. The Dell technical support had me do some updates on the web as well. I have not had problems since. What happened with the automatic updates completely wiped out my operating system. At least I don't have to buy a new computer.

  If nothing else works, try reinstalling your operating system. It worked for me.
